The hotel is okay. I got an corner room that was constantly humid and always had a breeze blowing in. The interior was all sticky due to the humidity. A mini fridge is included with two complimentary bottles of water. There is a basic gym included that was always empty when I went to exercise. All the basics like free weights, cable, ketel weights, bikes, etc... Sanitizing wipes are included as well as a water dispenser. There is a $35 resort fee charged that is treated as a credit at the restaurant. Convenience stores and UPS within a block. Eating scene there are options as well. I did not have enough time to explore very many. read more

The restaurant was poor. Breakfast buffet had nothing stocked on the buffet with many items missing. No butter or cream cheese for the bagels or toast. Not a single wait staff welcome to us except when it was time for us to pay. AC Hotel punched above its weight; yes, rooms are small and "modern" (read: cramped), but there were lots of positives during my stay. First, location was great; right in "downtown" Honolulu with lots of shops and restaurants, but still just a moderate walk (45 min?) or a short car ride (10 min?) away from the more touristy Waikīkī and waterfront properties. Furniture appeared brand new, everything was clean and comfortable in my room. The bathroom was nice, especially since it had a full door (ahem, Bonvoy please take note). The fitness center was nice, they did a good job of packing in cardio and weights. Not a full gym by any means, but you've got dumbbells up to 50 lbs and a cable machine, along with the usual cardio equipment. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, from front desk to valet to housekeeping. Quality stay here! read more

If you are visiting for work and want to get in and out of downtown (missing Waikiki traffic) this is a good spot. The guest services are great, I was here for a week and towards mid stay, they learned my leaving time and had my car available. Yes it is valet parking which requires you to plan 10-15m earlier as they need to go and get the car around the corner. The room was as the pictures stated. There does not seem to be remodeling going on. The elevator requires your room key for an added layer of security. Front desk was welcoming every day as you came in, normally with the generic "welcome back" but nice not to be ignored. The rooms have the electronic key if you prefer. The cleaning happened every other day, so if you drink their room coffee, they only put one out. Recommend they place 2, otherwise you have to find a cleaning lady to get more coffee and cups. The only issues I had in the room was that the toilet seat almost fell off, there was dirt under the desk area and a shower bottle needed to be replaced. Understand the staff probably has only so long per room, but these small details can be an issue to other missed items. Lastly, the bed was not as soft as other Marriott hotels. Overall, I would stay here if I am here on business. There was not a lot of food option, but they have a restaurant in the hotel. Large windows allowed the office workers next door to gawk at my naked form :) Quality wifi free with the room. Ammenities! A coffee shop that charges to your room ($35 voucher everyday), a great bar on the ground level, an AWESOME bar on the lower level and a TIKI Bar hidden inside that bar... I enjoyed every night here. I stayed here for five nights during a work trip and honestly had a great experience from start to end. Checking in was smooth and my room was ready a little earlier than expected which was nice after a long flight and picking up my rental car. Speaking of rental cars, it is valet parking only. I read a review previously that said they didn't have the option for people to call down for their cars when you need it, but during my whole stay, I was able to call valet while still on my room and my car was downstairs within 5 to 10 minutes. Super easy and convenient. All the valet guys were super nice and awesome as well. The staff (front desk, servers, and housekeeping) throughout my stay was very sweet. We always had some time to chitchat before I went up to my room and they were great about restaurant recommendations and things to do. Shout out for the recommendation for me to check out Waimanalo Beach! I had an awesome day there. The room itself was cute. As many of the review state, there is very little privacy when it comes to the bathroom and toilet area, but since I was by myself, it didn't bother me. If you are staying with a friend or a small group, I can see why that would be awkward. Location is right in the heart of downtown, different vibe from Waikiki. Excellent for city life vibes in paradise. Close to restaurants and shopping centers. Overall, I had a wonderful stay. I would probably book it again for work should I have to go back. read more

Minus the half star for only 1 tv on one side of the bar. And it wasn't on. Being a hotel bar maybe it's better with no tv. I can only imagine if there were lotsa tvs this would be a sports bar special. But I digress. We went on Christmas Eve. We walked from our place. But if you need parking, you'll have to use private or municipal lots. There is valet but we didn't see when we walked up. The place was empty. The bartender invited us in and we sat at the bar. Furniture was modern but not the trendy mid-century modern stuff. I'm thankful for the under counter lighting so I can see my purse. It's those little details that make a place great. The bartender described the Christmas drink and I was intrigued so I got it. He was hungry so we ordered the meat and cheese platter. He got the Manhattan. Drinks were strong and the food was good. Prices were standard for a hotel so we opted not to stay long. The bartender and the rest of the staff were attentive. But the greatest thing is that we didn't have to venture into Chinatown. Overall a very clean, comfortable, and convenient place to stay. I stayed three nights after a business meeting and really enjoyed my time. The air conditioner is so quiet and very cold. The location is walking distance to Fete and other good restaurants and bars in Chinatown. And, the room was modern and functional. There are two bars/restaurants on site, Dotted Line and Yours Truly, both with their own appeal. A big shout out to the Dotted Line Bartender staff Cliff. He was very friendly and I looked forward to seeing him. He also was helpful not only with making great drinks, but recommended several great local places to visit and dine. The staff at this hotel is truly exceptional. My first positive impression came from meeting Ephran at the front desk. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates, and unfortunately the hotel was fully booked. Despite this, Ephran welcomed me to stay in the lobby for as long as I needed so I could charge my phone and relax after a long day, while he did everything within his control to help me find a solution. While I was taking a break, I watched Ephran treat every guest with the same kindness, patience, and professionalism he showed me. He genuinely went above and beyond, and I was incredibly grateful for how safe and supported I felt in a stressful moment. The staff at the Yours Truly restaurant were also wonderful. Cliff and Dana took great care of me, listened to my situation, and thoughtfully suggested alternatives. They even worked with Ephran to try to help however they could. Lastly, Anthony and Jose, the bellhops, checked in on me and made sure I was okay, which meant more than they probably realized. I've never been treated so well at a hotel I didn't even end up staying at. This level of compassion and care is rare, and it left a lasting impression. read more

This review is directed towards a problem I encountered in the restaurant. The Hotel, staff, food, and drinks are all very nice. These guys have a food item on the appetizer menu called "Deviled eggs" I LOVE Deviled eggs, so when I saw the price of $14, I honestly assumed I would be in for a good time. Upon receiving this dish, I thought I was being pranked. They gave me ONE egg cut in half with a chefs kiss on it. this egg was slightly bigger than my thumb. $14 for this food item when you have literal dinner items for $3-8 more confused me. Your cost to food ratio doesn't make sense when you compare this dish to everything else. Upon getting my check, I noticed the ( one egg I received that was just cut in half) was actually only just $11... which means someone has complained recently on the price and you guys just laughed it off by knocking it down literally $3. Having dishes like this that insults customers with there hard earned money in todays age is just a slap in the face and isn't welcoming at all. It's just pure Greed. Drop this price down to 12 cents or add 6 more Eggs to this dish. read more

Booked our stay several days ago. I called this morning to confirm an early check in and was told instead we are one of the guests they have to "walk" today due to overbooking. Even though I booked direct with the hotel. Now we have to try to find a last minute reservation elsewhere and we have an event to attend nearby. Perfectly fine for 1-2 people for a few days. The AC was a great hotel, we extended our stay for 3 more days. They were great with our fur baby. The employees were super friendly and especially helpful when it came to finding late night snacks or great hidden gem restaurants. The rooms are clean and the AC definitely works as well as the little fridge. Beds are comfy with king size pillows. The ice machine (hospital ice) is in the hydration room which also has water to refill your hydro flax. Housekeeping is so friendly and helpful. They do such an amazing job and I commend them for their hard work . The AC restaurant has great food, we ate breakfast there every morning...the buffet is great and the regular menu food is delicious too. There is also a bar with live music. Across the street or walking distance: 7-11, McDonald's, The Nighthawk (dive bar w/food), Paris Baguette La Birria and Old Spaghetti Factory. JJ Nails (Helen) is directly across the street in the alley way...you have to walk down the store front hallway. This will be our go to hotel when we are in town and cannot stay at Hope Lodge. read more

Great little room. Good for one or two people. We got a one bedroom for a week which was a little small but it worked for us. Sink is separate from the toilet and shower room. Valet takes forever though. They only have valet parking and when you want to get the car, expect 10 min wait or longer if they are busy. I reside on Oahu, and often, I staycation. This is a new hotel located downtown Honolulu, and I chose to book it as I had an event I was attending in Chinatown. Book and pay in advance. Check-in 3PM, check-out 12PM. Upon arrival, about 3:15, I was told my room may not be ready. A couple of minutes later, they said it would be an hour wait. I gasped, which isn't typical of me, and said I have an event I needed to get ready for. They immediately took action and found a room that was available, upgrading me to a deluxe. Then, a brief tour and information about the gym, restaurant/lounge (open 5PM-11PM), and breakfast available the next morning, 6AM-11AM. The room was clean and had smart features, including the mini fridge, restroom door, and TV, which turned on by itself and greeted me. Spacious, comfy queen beds (there were three in my party), and a great shower. I had a bottle of wine, and there was a store nearby, HMart, where one in my party ran to grab a wine key, very convenient. I was able to get ready, and the Chinatown event was a 2-minute walk, also super convenient. I told several people I was staying there, no one had visited it yet, but they were also referring for business purposes, they shared. After the event, we walked back, which was safer than I thought, as the area can have crime on occasion. Then we tried out the lounge, which was one of two bars, the other Speakeasy on the lower lever, hadn't officially opened yet, but looks nice. The drinks were great and a nice wine list. Pupus were also tasty. The next morning, we noticed there wasn't any coffee in the room, just some sugar and cups. So headed down to breakfast, which actually had closed at 10AM, not 11 like originally told. So we checked out to go eat nearby. I politely let them know as an FYI. I didn't use the parking, but they have valet. It's a nice spot. I'd recommend it. read more

Located on bishop st. & across from Kamana Cafe, the AC Hotel lounge recently opened and my partner and i decided to try it out! First, some information that I received from the manager and mixologist (yes, mixologist, not a bartender if you are curious). This place just opened and i think it's pretty high end... the restaurant & bar closes at 11:30 M-F, and Midnight @12AM, and Valet is $15 on the side street. It's a nice, quiet (for now) place to have a nice drink or a small bite to eat even late at night. It's super convenient as it's walking distance from other places like 7-11, bus stops, the gym, commercial buildings, and it's in a residential area! Osteen, the mixologist was very nice to talk to as he was making our drinks: -the signature gin & tonic -Jane bond -nene in paradise -Honolulu sunset Each drink was pretty much priced like an average cocktail drink and i hope they'll start a happy hour in the future! My favorites were nene in paradise which primarily features the taste of tamarind. It was sweet touch to a slightly bitter finish. The other drink i favored was Honolulu sunset where it features tequila and an addition of coconut milk, it was smooth and lightly. Made me sleepy after haha but it was a nice night cap. You can also lounge here, do some work... eat and work... work and drink :p I'd come here again definitely to try their small bites, great for groups and intimate conversations, or just wanting to lounge and do some work whether it's early in the day or late at night. Room was dirty. They literally have housekeeping every other day and tell you that when you check in. So you're saying the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel isn't your priority. Weird. Small room, no coffee maker, since they want you to buy coffee at there coffee shop. You can't miss the coffee shop, there's usually four homelesss people you need to step over to get in.. Not a safe location at all and no amenities like a pool. The restaurant is always out of e cc writhing too. Nightmare hotel. Heard it was ran by Highgate and not Marriott. Don't stay here. Staying here right now and need to write a review! First, the pros: the hotel is newly renovated and the staff are very friendly. The rooms have rain showers and feel spacious despite being very small. Next: the cons. The bathroom doesn't have much privacy at all, with a sliding door and a glass shower wall. But more importantly... We didn't know the area is quite unsafe at night. We went for a walk to dinner a few minutes away and to be honest, I'm glad nothing bad happened to us. My gut feelings were very bad with a few people passing us, and we saw a woman assaulted on the street. It's not a safe area to walk around at night. We also woke up to a man yelling for help outside, to call the police because he had been mugged. Just be aware, it's not a great spot to stay, especially at night. If you're on vacation, Waikiki is much nicer. Sorry Marriott! read more

AC Lounge - The was a great treat to end our week. The service was impeccable! From quick service to knowledgeable staff and even quality photography skills. The drinks were delicious and the ambiance was relaxing after a long day. The perfect after work spot and located downtown. I'm happy to have tried this spot early because I feel like when everyone downtown finds out about this it'll be busy. We live in Waikiki and took the opportunity to celebrate our annual Valentine's Day staycation at the brand new Marriott in the downtown/financial district/Chinatown. It is well located for exploring the neighborhood, enjoying a show at the Hawaii Theater, dining & people watching. The hotel is clean, comfortable, quiet and safe. Contrary to other reviews, the bathroom door slides shut, lol. Next time we'll visit the gym and speakeasy, not necessarily one after the other. The package comped the parking, or else we might have not bid. The Dotted Line hotel restaurant was very good. Expensive, but food was outstanding - the lobster sand is a must. Will NOT be staying here again only be rid the rudeness I received from one person at the front desk this morning. Things like this impacts my reviews and decision to stay there ever again. The world of hotels and the competition for business is stiff and the slightest rudeness impact my choice to come back again. In this case this rudeness was uncalled for. The room was nice but beware the pillows are hard ass a rock. and this room was a two person room and there was only one regular coffee and one decaf...really. Had the privilege to stay at the AC hotel Honolulu for 5 short months. Staff is very professional and friendly makes you feel like Ohana. ( front desk, restaurant, bar, coffee shop, housekeeping, engineers, ext.) It is valet parking only, and the Valet staff (not bellhops) are friendly and quick at parking and retrieving your car. It was a 20 minutes walk to the pier 2 cruise terminal from hotel. The hotel was not in a congested area. It was a quiet hotel and we got a good nights sleep, The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioner got the room cool. The area around hotel and the hotel itself was very clean.
