Super new and modern, love that it is a Marriott property. You can smell the natural leather when you enter the hall, and the hotel room has hardwood floors, so no nasty carpet. The bathroom and shower are huge. Love the fridge, and it has a cool lighting scheme. Cons: with the hardwood floors, noise travels, we woke up to the neighbor next door sneezing. You can also hear the traffic on the road when you are facing the front. Most likely due to the floor to ceilIng windows. No alarm clock either, which is weird. I'd definitely stay here again, you don't get too many new or updated Marriott property these days. read more

AC hotels are an interesting part of Marriotts lineup - almost like Le Meridien but more minimalist in design. The hotel is located approximately 20 min from the airport near a large mall and decent food options (Driving distance!) The entrance is a bit awkward since the hotel is sideways, but once you're inside the lobby is gorgeous if the large patio doors are open. Large firepits. Fairly nice bar, plenty of comfortable seating. Definitely a place you can chill and have a drink in peace. Front desk check in was quick and easy, and to the room I went. Modern, spacious, large TV with a comfortable bed and a sofa. Bathroom was modern (whole hotel is new) and spacious. WI-Fi worked, and a small fridge with bottled water in the room. Excellent. The gym was decent sized as well, no issues with machines and faced the nice lobby courtyard. Also, bar had some decent whiskies so highly recommended. read more

I stayed here overnight for a business trip. It wasn't too far from the airport. The lobby is beautiful, and they have plenty of disposable masks out front in case you need them. Checking in was easy. The hotel itself doesn't have many amenities, and the room is bare bones. It was clean, and served its purpose for an overnight stay. There's a bar in the lobby and in the morning they do have breakfast to order and offer free starbucks coffee, though it's not a full-serve coffee stand. You get a cup of black and can add your own stuff. I'm not sure how expensive the overnight stay was since my employer paid, but given the choice and the many options of hotels/resorts in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, I won't be back. read more

Very Scandinavian - breads, cheese, meat, hard boiled eggs (where's the salmon?). But the crown jewel is their self-serve specialty coffee maker. A coffee snobs dream. This is a chic hotel. I would have never expected it when driving up. It looks like an office building. But inside was great! Love the feel of the lobby, bar area, and outdoor seating area. It's actually indoor -outdoor which was cool. The fire pit outside was awesome. They also had heaters. It was a great vibe. We hung out there each night. Our bartender server, Carla was awesome. She was attentive, prompt, and really kind. And the food was fantastic! My room was a nice size with a comfortable king bed, leather sofa (pull out), desk/work area, and there was a mini fridge and safe. Enjoyed the rain shower in the bathroom. Check in was easy and efficient. Isaiah, at the front seat was phenomenal. He was friendly and knowledgeable. The hotel was clean and in the amazing Biltmore area. There is a grocery store and restaurants within a 7 min walk and a nice mall with high end restaurants less than 15 min walking. Uber was $20 for a 2 min drive. I had a fantastic view of Camelback Mountain. I read the review about traffic on Camelback but at night the traffic was so light that it wasn't bothersome at all. My only complaint is that Marriott used to give 500 Bonvoy points if you didn't get your room cleaned. But now they are just not cleaning during the stay due to COVID but you don't get the bonus points. It's a weird time so I won't mark down the review, but wish I could've gotten bonus points. We just finished a three night stay in this hotel. I love the location, it is right in the middle of all the places we like to go. It is beautifully decorated. They have a large patio to sit at with huge doors that are were open our entire stay, so it was like bringing the outside in. We sat on the patio in the evenings and relaxed by the fire. Our room was tastefully decorated. I like the wood floors, it felt cleaner to me. We were always happily greeted by every employee on the property, it made us feel so welcome. The ONLY drawback for me was the noise from Camelback Road. It definitely isn't a dealbreaker but it was louder than I would have liked. read more

This is a nice hotel and considering its in the Biltmore area... shockingly affordably priced. Everything met expectations. The upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly hello and provided all the details for the hotel. They have a nice patio, with many propane heaters and a large raises fire pit. The wide open bar area is centered near the middle of the first floor and has a many places to sit. Our king size room was very modern. It was clean and open. Each room comes with a smart fridge, coffee maker and safe. (Covid Practices are in place everywhere - sanitizer stations throughout the main floor and also in each elevator) Overall... a great experience and would definitely stay here again in the future. read more

Honestly very disappointed by this hotel. My fiancé and I stayed recently for a long President's day weekend. The lobby, rooms, and pool area were very clean and we both "felt safe" during the pandemic. However, the rooms are not soundproof so you can hear everything that's happening in the halls and rooms next to you. Additionally, the hot water in the hotel is awful and the water was ice cold when we took showers at 8AM. Finally, the air conditioning is also incredibly loud and woke us up constantly during the night. Overall, it just feels like the building was made quickly and cheaply. Parking is free but the lot is incredibly small and if you come back after 10PM, don't expect a parking space. We're not from the area so we have no idea where it's safe to park our car at night. We asked one of the employees at the front desk who basically told us we were on our own at this point and offered no suggestions on where we can park. Luckily, another employee heard what was going on and offered to move her car since she was leaving in an hour or two. We really appreciated her and she's the reason this places gets more than 1 star. My fiancé and I both travel for work and are Marriott Platinum members. It was no where near the quality we've come to expect from the Marriott flag and we really expected more. Edit: Marriott ended up refunding half of our stay. This hotel is a perfect blend of modernism, convenience, and amenities for a business traveler. The rooms are modern, clean, and have everything I could ask for. For example they have a marvelous refrigerator that keeps things very cold, a wonderful shower with adjustable head, I'm very comfortable beds. Oh and the TVs are very good size for a room at this caliber. The staff is very friendly and the interior is very modern. It makes the hotel feel much more upscale than the price you were paying. Is absolutely one of the best business hotels I have ever been to. And I plan on returning in the near future as the location is outstanding. Checked room for cleanliness room was filthy and surface cleaned...then checked bed for bugs and found one in the crack between the brown leather headboard and wood. Had to find another hotel at last minute as they were at capacity. Made me late for a rehearsal dinner and my trip cost doubled due to last minute hotel booking...barely found another room. Called back when I had time to discuss tonight. Lady was to call me back after speaking with GM but never did. Apparently she left for the night. This is a five star BUSINESS CLASS hotel. When I visit Scottsdale for lux and fun, I stay at Mountain Shadows. When I visit for business, this will be my new go to! Concerning the noise: I requested a room not on Camelback Rd based on the previous reviews, so no issue with that. I could hear the TV from the room next to mine but I still fell asleep easily. The AC was loud but it didn't wake me. The lobby/restaurant/bar/indoor outdoor lounge area- including the bathroom- is a beautifully designed space. Pros: CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN Towels are soft Bed is comfortable Long bench below TV Perfect ice from the ice machine (if you're into ice) Con: No separate lighted magnifying vanity mirror Shower shelf should be on the other side Noise seems amplified Hospital chair Besides the noise, all of these are just picky Tips: Water needs to be off to switch shower heads. read more

Quick AZ trip from SoCal to getaway for a few days. The hotel was so clean, chic, & the hospitality was AMAZING. Check in/out was smooth and quick. The outdoor patio area was nice for eating take out or ordering food/drinks from the bar to sit at in the evening near the fire pit. The pool was nice and clean and so were the rooms. Hotel parking lot isn't the biggest so we came back late and had to park a bit far but that's expected. Loved our cozy room, and the rain shower was just ! What you really want to know - Is this a clean hotel, is a good area and worth the money....Absolutely! The Biltmore estate area in an upscale office area candidly and this hotel has a modern industrial chic look. Clean and done very well. No carpets to hold stinky odors everything new and decorated modern. The price is really worth it. There is nothing fancy at all, the pool is a tiny backyard style. The bar area is quite nice but nothing to draw you there. The downside, due to no carpets in the room it can be loud at quiet time, say when the guests come back in there room after midnight. All sounds carry too well. Our shower had roller doors, which looked great but did not stay shut...minor things. No question I would recommend and stay here again. read more

Stayed here for the first time and really enjoyed this brand under the Marriott umbrella - more so than the Camby down the street. The location is central to everything and located near lots of great shopping and dining options. The hotel is somewhat discrete from Camelback and can be easily passed. There's ample (free) parking, a small outdoor pool and gym. They do offer a somewhat limited breakfast for $15, but it was convenient enough we chose to eat there each morning. The rooms are spacious, modern and clean. They are also pet friendly for a fee. Will definitely stay here again. read more

I have never stayed at an AC before and really like it. It is new and the rooms open like an aloft. The staff has been helpful. Beds nice and comfortable. Lots of hot water. The restaurant is just a small menu but the avocado toast, for simple, had a great flavor and the Greek salad was fresh and tasty. No free breakfast but for $15 a nice breakfast buffet. The Hotel is super clean and designed nicely. The staff is also very helpful. However, they have a HVAC issue in every room that has the bathroom fan automatically on full blast, and no option to turn it off. It's so loud that we almost left to go to another hotel. They said it's an issue in every room and are trying to have it resolved by February. Not sure how something like that got passed inspection, but until that is fixed I would NOT stay here. It's unbearably loud. We wanted a relaxing staycation and it was kind of ruined by this. Also, as a Gold member. I hate having to remind them my own perks. We automatically get 2pm checkout, but two separate times had management knock on our door in the morning asking about why we haven't checked out yet. I also had to request the room upgrade we should get, which we did after I brought it up. Clean. Nice staff. Big tv. Great coffee. But you CANNOT stay here until they fix the bathrooms. read more

I visited the AC Biltmore recently on a business trip. Originally, my work schedule called for me to stay for 6 nights. Approximately halfway through my stay, my work schedule changed and I asked about departing after 5 nights rather than 6. I was told by a front desk associate named Rosa that I would have to pay a $380 early departure fee for simply trying to change my stay from 6 nights to 5 nights. I travel very frequently for work and as of this stay at the AC Biltmore, I had 63 nights spent at Marriott properties so far in 2024. I was told by Rosa that my Marriott status had nothing to do with avoiding the early departure fee. I am just dumbfounded that this property would treat loyal Marriott customers the same as a person staying with Marriott for the first time. Apparently, LOYALTY is a one-way street with them. If you have a choice, please take your business to a nearby Hilton or Hyatt property. read more

This hotel fits the bill for clean and comfortable. The front desk was so incredibly friendly. We had to ask for a late checkout because our child was very sick- since they were not sold out the associate said we could stay late with no charge. This was such a relief as our flight did not leave until late and we didn't want to tote around a sick child. The rooms have light laminate flooring which I love- carpet traps so much dust so I am happy to see none! The bathroom was so clean and modern, especially the shower enclosure. The pool area is nice and has ample seating. We will definitely stay here again when back in Phoenix. read more

From the guest services department to the front desk staff, housekeeping personnel to bartenders... wow, wow, wow!! You were all kind, professional, accommodating and downright awesome! The rooms are great - sleek, clean and comfortable, we loved the European-style breakfast options and the bar creates a welcoming vibe with above average drinks (and nothing you'd anticipate from a "chain" hotel). But more than anything, your "people" are what stood out. Whether it was a maintenance man bringing us a barstool to our room for our hairstylist or the front desk person as we were leaving for our wedding, you always had a smile on your face and your kindness will not soon be forgotten. I attempted to book a trip on Booking.com. I accidentally deleted my reservation with a nonrefundable Feature. I contacted Booking.com and they put me on hold for 10 minutes and came back on the phone telling me that AC hotel Phoenix would not reimburse me and advise me repeatedly that I was out of my money. I contacted AC Hotel directly. The customer service was absolutely amazing from the person I talk to at the front desk to immediately putting me through to the manager who resolved the issue immediately. This is my first time at the AC great fromt desk staff and host at the bar. I'm a platinum member and take Marriott seriously and with pride. My room was great although I wish house keeping would care for marriott the same as I do. My toilet had hair all over it and the sink had something brown running down the front. I expect more from house keeping being a Marriott employee. When I asked one house keeper to clean it she seemingly did not understand what I was asking. A Warm Welcome in a in a Time of Need Review of AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Biltmore Pending review After my air conditioning suddenly broke, I needed a quick place to stay with my two pugs. I was a little apprehensive strolling into this beautiful, new hotel with my snorting little dogs, but the people at the front desk could not have been nicer and more welcoming. There were social distancing measures throughout the property, hand sanitizers in the elevator and employees were wearing masks. It was a bit of a scene, people at the bar and pool, which I might have enjoyed more under normal circumstances. The rooms were clean, comfortable and modern. I loved the access to Netflix. I also loved the water station with carafes available to fill with water and or ice. Though I live locally, if I were from out of town I could see the appeal of the location as the hotel is centrally located near many restaurants, shopping and in normal times a movie theatre. My company hosted our very first conference at the AC Marriott and coincidentally, we were the first group that the AC Marriott hosted after their grand opening in fall 2018. The team at AC Marriott (Sarah, Mike C, Mike S, Ashley and David) treated my team and our guests like absolute royalty and truly rolled out the red carpet. Since it was our first conference there were many unforeseen needs and changes that occurred and the team at AC Marriott had our back 1000%! They were patient, accommodating, and always had a solution, and I mean always. One example of this is that less than 12 hours before our event started there was a cord that was needed for one of our last-minute (literally, night before event) changes. The cord was not available at any store driving distance but they managed to get it delivered and it arrived in less than 2 hours. Sarah and Mike C stayed with me until wee hours of that evening making sure the test run went smoothly and that the just delivered item worked seamlessly, and it did. That evening, Mike C offered for me to stay at the Marriott on them. This offer made such a difference for me. This is one of the many examples that highlight the red carpet treatment they extended us. The morning of the conference Sarah, Mike C and I arranged to meet two hours before our event started. We had planned to go through audio/visual test runs, room set-up, last minute details, ect... When I arrived it was all already done! I could not believe it. They offered my team and I breakfast from their buffet and we were able to start the day off with much greater ease because of their assistance and planning. Throughout the conference, Sarah was available the entire time (and even checked in with me via text on her day off) and came through with anything and everything we requested. She IS the reason our event was as successful as it was. Thank you, Sarah. You are IRREPLACEABLE and truly one of a kind. The food that we ordered for lunch was out literally out of this world. I spent the last 12 years working at a restaurant in Chicago and the Chefs I worked with never made a soup as good as Mike S's chicken tortilla soup! The apple salad was also off the charts (and healthy too)! We also hosted a reception in the evening for our guests on the patio right by the pool (which is beautiful). When we arrived to this part of our event, the AC Marriott team had surprised us with a few carafes of complimentary hand crafted cocktails. The old fashioned was made perfectly and the food we ordered flew off the table! Shawn was our server and he really took great care of us! He always had a smile on his face and made sure our guests were treated like VIP. I could go on and on about how we were taken care of and the truth is that words could never truly describe our experience. Hospitality doesn't happen inside of a hotel, a kitchen or someones home. It happens in the way people are and the way they share their themselves and their hearts. Sarah, Mike C, Mike S, Ashley and David knocked our event out of the park. I stayed here for 5 nights in a "Larger King Suite Mountain View." First, let me say the hotel employees were outstanding! I was in room 439, which is a corner room with privacy wall separating living and bedroom areas. This is not a two room suite. It is a very modern, clean room with some odd characteristics. Huge walk-in shower but no bench. Refrigerator and coffee maker but no microwave. No glasses (just paper cups) and no silverware or dishes. There is maybe 1 foot of hanging space for clothes next to the refrigerator. Large wall of windows with nice lake and distant mountain view. Motorized drapes operated by a complicated remote and no instructions. The room is right over Camelback Road so lots of road noise during day but not too bad at night with less traffic and drapes shut. If you have a room on the north side of the hotel, you will have substantial road noise. There is ample free parking behind the hotel. Breakfast is $16. read more
