Our stay here was totally last minute. We needed a place to stay and with my union discount. This place was right in our budget. We loved it. It was super clean. People working the front desk were super nice. The breakfast in the morning was really good and super fresh. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends. And we will be booking with them again on our next visit to Arizona.

So first off I want to say that jerrica (I hope that's her name) is amazing and is always so kind and helpful when we have an issue when we stay. Room was nice and comfy. Shower was hot. Hair soap was nice, neautragina . Poor was nice but I wish it was more shaded. Breakfast was good but it was the same thing both days we were there. Wish they had something different on the different days. I love that on the app if we have an issue we can just chat them and inform the staff of any issues rather than go down or call. All in all I'm happy and will stay again.

The bed was very comfortable but the walls were obviously too thin as we could hear the people in the adjacent room having sex..... Other than the thin walls, this is a great place to stay.

A Disquisition on Hospitality at Tru by Hilton Phoenix Glendale Westgate: Or, How One Man's Virtue…read moreRedeems the Mundane By Capt. 619, Peripatetic Scholar of Transient Domiciles and Human Excellence Let us first dispense with the axiomatic: the modern hotel, in its essence, is an exercise in utilitarian homogeneity. A room, as Kant might posit, is a synthetic a priori--a space defined not by its inherent qualities, but by its function. Tru by Hilton Phoenix Glendale Westgate adheres to this universal truth. Its chambers are serviceable, its amenities competent, its aesthetic an echo of the Platonic "Form of the Mid-Tier Lodging." On the scale of Aristotelian potentiality, it achieves a hexad (6/10)--a respectable, if unremarkable, actualization of shelter. Yet! Here lies the rub: hospitality, as Seneca observed, is not a static condition but a dynamic virtue. And in this locus, virtue found its avatar in Richard, a steward of such magnanimity that he transmuted leaden routine into golden experience. I. The Telos of Service: Richard as the Unmoved Mover Each dawn, as Helios' chariot crested the Arizona horizon, Richard greeted guests with a Socratic inquiry: "What may I do to render your day excellent?" Not a hollow pleasantry, but a dialectic--an invitation to co-create eudaimonia. His attentions were neither obsequious nor perfunctory, but precise as Aquinas' Five Ways. Forgotten toothpaste materialized; coffee preferences were memorized with the rigor of a Benedictine scribe; local dining recommendations bore the insight of a seasoned flâneur. In him, the hotel's potential 6 became an actualized 10. II. The Paradox of Hospitality: Substance vs. Accident Let us parse the Categories. The hotel's substance (rooms, linens, waffle irons) belongs to the genus "Adequate." But its accidents--the staff, the ethos--are where essence resides. Richard, like Descartes' genius malignus in reverse, dissolved skepticism with each act of grace. A traveler who, like myself, dwells 200 nights yearly in interchangeable abodes learns this: marble foyers fade; human warmth endures. III. The Ethical Imperative To proprietors of such establishments, heed Aristotle: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." Richard's excellence is habitual, his ethos contagious. He is the phronimos of hospitality, embodying practical wisdom where others merely follow script. Conclusion: A Summa of Transient Flourishing Tru by Hilton is, in itself, a cipher. But within its walls operates a man who elevates the prosaic to the profound. To stay here is to witness a Thomistic proof: Existence precedes essence. The hotel exists; Richard gives it essence. Verdict: 6/10 (sine Richard); 10/10 (cum Richard). Fellow wayfarers--seek him. For in a desert of mediocrity, he is the oasis. "Non nobis solum nati sumus." --Capt. 619, Emeritus Fellow of the Collegium Hospitium et Peregrinationis

This hotel does offer free parking and it is in walking distance to the stadium. But you can also catch an Uber/ Lyft to the stadium. The hotel was decked out in Halloween decor and also Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinal flags. They also offer some type of free breakfast in the morning . I don't know if it's continental or what. When I'm on vaca mode my mission is to sleep in. Back to the hotel the rooms are quite nice and a suite. They have everything that you would want but not a stove. But then again who wants to cook on a vaca. They have a nice sized refrigerator and microwave. They also have a coffee maker. The bed was comfy but the pillows were quite small. They also have a couch which I believe can be a bed as well. The bathroom is full sized and they also have full size shower gel and shampoo. You may want to bring your own hand soap because they only have those tiny bars . Nearby and right where the stadium is the Westgate Entertainment District. It's outdoors and a total vibe. There are plenty of restaurants, and even a cigar lounge. When we were there they actually had an outdoor ice skating rink. There is also an outlet around 10 minutes away. I only passed it and it looked like it was an outlet. All in all it was a great experience. If I ever visit Arizona again I would definitely stay here again.

The prices were very cheap especially considering it was the weekend before New Years. We ended up getting a two bedroom suite with a kitchen (see photos). I could post all the photos but it was a very nice room. And considering the price it was a really good deal. The fitness center is located in the adjacent hotel North, basically 10 yards away on the other side of the pool. It has a machine, teeadmills, and weights up to 50 lbs. The complimentary breakfast is very good with eggs, potatoes, bacon/sausage, cereal, etc. They also have waffles that alternate between blueberry and vanilla. I posted a photo with the hours. Coffee is available all day. Service was great and again for the price awesome deal.

If you advertise having wheelchair accessible amenities, staff members should be educated enough to…read moreknow the difference between an accessible room and a regular room. Making matters worse the power curtains did not work in either the bedroom or the living area after a call down to your front desk of course they don't know how to fix it. The overall cherry on top was the fact that I picked this hotel as the pool harness was being advertise as a wheelchair accessible amenity available on the property and wouldn't you know it the poor harness just had to be down during the time of our visit. But that wasn't the case that pool harness was not used or had not been used in a very long time. After speaking to the front desk and being told yet again, they did not know how to use the harness and that she would need to call the maintenance man to do so she walks across the yard to the sister property talks to that manager comes back like 20 minutes later a maintenance man is there, but he was nowhere to be found until another motel guest offered to help me as I was trying to figure out how to work the harness so that my husband can get in the pool. The maintenance man appears as we're finally able to release the harness into the water. He then proceeds to tell us that the harness is water powered. He goes and grabs a hose and connect it into the pump for the harness. It's there connected for around 20 minutes as we sat there and waited. I watched the maintenance man get on his phone a couple of times and have conversations now 30 minutes has passed since the water hose has been connected to the pump for the harness now by this time my husband is pretty much telling us to flip him into the pool from his wheelchair. I walk over and ask the maintenance man is the harness ready he then proceeds to tell me that it's not working now an hour of time has been wasted when they could've simply said at the front desk the first time I asked about it that it was not in order because there's no way that harness had just became out of order. It's been out of order. I'm sure all staff members are well aware of the harness not only for the pool not working and being out of order but also for their hot tub isn't that a coincidence to the separate harnesses and neither of them worked Yep they both were out of order some coincidence. Now let's turn our heads to the administrative side of things as I've made several calls since our visit in April and left quite a few messages for the manager who was of course, not there as we were checking out, but I was given her contact information where I proceeded to call and leave several messages, however, since April, I have yet to receive a phone call back in regards to my family's unpleasant visit. I would definitely never be coming back and for the future references I'll make sure to call and check on amenities that are for wheelchair accessible people being fully operational and in good working order. I hate places that claim to be wheelchair accessible they make sure that they include pictures of amenities that are wheelchair accessible friendly as in the handlebars in the bathroom and also harness is for the pool but yet their employees should be able to tell me if the accessible room has a fold down chair or if they have shower chairs under the sink for a quick install falsely advertising the pool and Jacuzzi being wheelchair accessible, friendly, however, neither harness worked, and the fact that there had been a nice amount of webs and debris buildup on the chair I know for a fact, those harnesses have not been in use for a very long time, and if they knew it was broken, why still advertise it take it down.
