They unlock a new module over the weekend, but if you are pro-active and complete the quizes or discussion board before your scheduled zoom meetings, you will lose 4 out of the 5 hours of documented homework time. Furthermore, if you call and ask around the office about an issue, there is no guarantee that the will bother to help you. The instructor made an error on the attendance sheet, forgetting to put the time out before submitting it, causing everyone in the class to get 15 minutes of the 5 hours of lab time on their official grades. It was only corrected because I said something, we submitted an amendment form weeks ago, and after following up I was told they are still working on fixing it. Here we are almost a month later and the correct times have not been adjusted. I haven't missed a regularly scheduled zoom meeting with my instructor, I haven't missed a single Lab day, but because my instructor gives students every opportunity to not succeed, I only have partial attendance credit. I get there before my teacher, am always ready to learn and work my hardest , but everytime I ask my teacher what's going on, I am told "It was covered in the syllabus, you should know this." Funny thing is I call the support line for help, use their virtual assistance on their student portal, and nobody seems to know anything. The instructor has even said " I don't know why it's not working, you will have to meet with someone during business hours." My Disappointment of the institution can not be stated enough. DO not go to this school for Electrical Technician training. I was lied to and told there was an Extension Program for on the job training. After signing the payment agreement and asking about the Extension Program again, I was told "actually Electrical Technician DOESN'T have an extension program". I.E. they make it sound fantastic when they want your money, but when you expect the results that a $20,000 program should provide, they fall far short of my expectations.

My husband grew up on the in New Jersey school systems, and Miss G's 's approach reminds him very much of the discipline and curriculum he's accustomed to. Well, most days it's like pulling teeth for my kids, They get it done, and the progress has definitely shown. Both of them are pretty advanced for their math levels only several months into the school year. They are also definitely quicker than I am at adding and subtracting. Both of their teachers have also said that they'll definitely be well into multiplication before the school year is over. I definitely recommend the iPad approach personally- For our lifestyle which is constantly on the go and often on vacations. This is the kind of school that parents in Los Angeles, San Francisco or NYC have to jump through hoops to get their kids into, with massive politics and financial commitments at play. Yet in Vegas, many parents (including on our street) send their kids to Dawson due to its reputation for being easier and more artsy as they are terrified of the academic competitiveness of Meadows. If these same parents were in the Bay Area they'd be doing backflips trying to get their kids into the same sort of school there as Meadows. The campus is amazing. The curriculum is challenging. The kids are happy and very engaged in sports, theater, charity and other after-school activities. The parents are friendly and, especially the "Meadows Moms", work tirelessly to help out. Yes, your kid has to test into each school (K, middle, high). Great, we love a meritocracy rather than forced social promotion. And my daughter will have friends for life as she goes from K thru 12 here.

A few weeks later I was then told I would be interviewing with 1 coach and 2 HR people. First off, since when do you need to interview with HR reps and 2nd, IT'S A CHEERLEADING COACH POSITION. Give me a flippin break. Four people for a PART-TIME cheerleading coach position! Had to sit through this interview while the "HR" people mean mugged me the whole time. I'm sure it's a great school; the campus was beautiful but why the HR interview????? Weird vibes from them.
