I received strong support throughout my journey; from onboarding with Vince to student teaching with Professor Volpe. Even now, I'm continuing to get help with my credential, resume writing, and access to alumni benefits. The only improvements I'd suggest are reducing some of the fees for online students and providing more consistency in academic counselors throughout the program.

I never feel overwhelmed, and the layout of the courses makes it easier to stay organized and confident in my progress. What really sets this experience apart is the support system. Dr. Jessica Whiteside has been amazing throughout my journey. She consistently checks in, offers encouragement, and makes sure I feel supported every step of the way. It's rare to have someone who genuinely cares about your success and takes the time to recognize your efforts. Because of both the program structure and the support from staff like Dr. Whiteside, I've been able to stay motivated and continue pushing forward. I would definitely recommend Grand Canyon University to anyone looking for a flexible and supportive learning environment.

Luckily, they had some appointments available for 1 hr massages for the both of us at the same time. The room is a large room where the tables are separated by curtains, which is fine but the room is a little cold so when you're undressed, you definitely feel the chill. It would be helpful if they had bed warmers to help with clients feeling cold. I felt that my therapist listened to me and asked questions but at the end of my massage, I realized he didn't listen to me completely about what was hurting. I explicitly stated that my lower back, shoulders, and neck were needing work. Unfortunately for me, the student followed the order of what the school teaches completely and didn't deviate, which meant he spent time on my shoulders and lower back, worked on my legs, and completely skipped my neck. I thought maybe the curriculum was different from every other massage I have ever received in my life but as the student walked me out, he told me that he had to skip my neck because he didn't want to be late for the next appointment. I understand being timely but it a client states a specific part is ailing them, focus on that and skip a different body part that isn't hurting them. I understand that this is a school and these are students, but listening to your clients and working out what ails them vs following the order needs to be emphasized.

Daniel Coady comes into our classroom almost every day and interrupts our lectures or lab time. I'm paying for my education, and I want to spend that time learning, not having class interrupted over and over. I understand that he's new, and he reminds us of that a lot. Everyone has to start somewhere, but I don't understand why our class has to be interrupted so often. Career Services should be helping students when it's actually time for externships, not taking away from our learning. On top of that, he comes across as rude and always seems upset or irritated. It makes students uncomfortable, and it doesn't create a positive environment. I wish I could work with someone else, but I don't think that would even be an option.

They have no communication, very disorganized, instructors/program directors constantly quitting because of how mistreated they are and how undervalued the program is. Surgical Technology Program sucks. Every term there was an issue, during term 3 they had stated we needed to get vaccines, fingerprint clearance card, etc. and we weren't told how to do it at all and when they finally did show us "how to do it" it was deemed wrong and we payed for the wrong things. And certain things we WERENT supposed to pay for but the coordinator didn't say anything. No structure whatsoever. Teachers just expect you to know everything and somehow teach yourself. you can't have a job at all, the hours are horrible and long. I was struggling financially as well and i asked for financial help they told me to take ubers, lyft, etc. i expressed i had already been doing that and it was still expensive for me, they basically said that's all they could offer and didn't help me in any other way. We had a cafeteria, they got rid of it. And we moved to a smaller facility, which is horrible no space at all. The school just wants your money and provides no actual education. You have to teach yourself despite being at school for 40 hours a week. Worst school ever, i'm in debt now and feel like i wasted money on my education. The new program director in surgical technology is very rude and big headed. he didn't even congratulate my class on graduating. never answered teams messages, never checks his email. worst school to attend, the dean is very rude and doesn't care about the students at all. would give the school 0 stars if i could. i didn't have a program director the the entirety of my program which was 16 months, and the one program director we supposedly had, never met her/him. and a program director we had for maybe 1 month, didn't help at all and she quit because of how horrible the school is and disorganized

Let's talk about the revolving door of instructors and staff. We both got pretty close to a lot of staff and instructors. Most of them admitted they would be leaving shortly and they eventually did. They will tell incoming students exactly what you want to hear. The truth is, the revolving curriculum is so unstructured, students mesh together during different quarters, into classes they're not ready for yet, but the other students are. You're all mixed together, regardless of where you are in progress. Also, Aspen university nursing plan has just been shut down for the SAME EXACT ISSUES occurring here. Currently talking to a friend who is being pushed back because her CPR card wasn't accepted by the school. Even though other students used the same one. The staff doesn't talk to each other, and once instructor might ok something another won't. There is absolutely ZERO structure. Your images will be pass or fail all depending on who is there that day. Good luck!
