This cafe is down the street from my work place. I think I've gotten their chicken burrito at least eight times. It is delicious ! What I really like about this place is that the food is delicious, healthy and fresh. Example: for their chicken burrito instead of putting normal romaine lettuce and tomato salsa, they use a jicama slaw with a mango habanero salsa. Such a great find! I tried this spot over the weekend for the first time and was extremely impressed. Everything on the menu looked amazing. The chicken tacos with the mango sauce were delicious! As were the Asada tacos with the avocado salsa.. could eat an infinite amount of those! For dessert I had the açaí bowl.. all I gotta said is wow! Hands down best açaí bowl I've ever tried.. the consistency of the açaí was perfect sorta like a frozen yogurt only yummier.. Located in the basement of the building, just fallow the mouth watering smell of candied bacon and grilled onions to the restaurant, where they also serve gourmet burgers wraps and fries. The base mix was smooth and cold like a healthy sherbert. It held together nicely too as i found a lot of other mixtures melt rather quickly this one held together despite bing in my warm car. I ordered the power bowl and evey bite was an array of textures and tastes on my tongue from smooth from banana slices and peanut butter drizzled to snaps and pops of cocoa nibs and an assortment of nuts. I've been here many times with great experiences, today however was terrible. I ordered my food over the phone . Said it would be ready in 10minutes. I arrive to pick it up 10 minutes later than what i was told, you know giving them extra time in case they were busy. I pay for my order and the food wasn't ready. So i wait on the side patiently for about 15 minutes. All along i noticed a box of food sitting around waiting to be picked up. Finally one of the employees acknowledges the boxed food and it happens to be mine. I waited for 15 minutes for nothing, my food was ready. So as expected my food was handed to me COLD . Sadly, am disappointed. I understand these are hard times and we should be more empathetic towards each other, however i didn't even get an acknowledgment or apology for having waited for nothing .
