(Bowl comes with 3 options for fish and large with 4). I love how there is a variety for the toppings and the fish tastes fresh. I'd say that for 23-25 dollars the portions are extremely good especially when compared to other poke spots. My husband was craving poke while we were in Glendale so we stopped by Poke N Roll. I was disappointed by how they charge extra for some of the toppings that are typically common in poke. Everything seemed overpriced and the staff didn't seem happy to help us. My husband asked for wasabi, and they gave him a small container of the tiniest bit of wasabi in there. They seemed stingy and not willing to give more than what exactly fit in their scoop. They also don't mix the sauces in, but give them to you in containers which is unusual compared to other poke places we've been to. It's good poke, but everything is an additional charge by a lot and they don't even mix anything. I got the house poke sauce and took my order to go and once I got home and tasted it I realized it's spicy. That's something they should let you know. It's also kit so weird to give you once sauce for a medium. I don't like this process here. There are many more other options I would rather drive to than go back here. The sushi isn't bad though so if you have the money to pay for all of the extras (you even have to pay $1.50 for masago) go for it. Just not for me. read more

tried this poke spot near the americana and pleasantly surprised at how fresh the fish was!and for a size large, we got a considerable portion. ive tried other poke spots in glendale and nothing really stood out (although also not bad) and i would say poke n roll ranks slightly above the others. the only gripe i had was that the sauce wasnt mixed into our fish like i was used to, i maybe could have asked for them too but i found it odd they didnt do it automatically. so i was just dipping my fish into the sauce on the side.. otherwise i would return! really friendly workers and seems the staff are huge fans of house and I really enjoyed the freshness of the salmon especially. read more

I decided to try out a new poke spot and I'm a little disappointed. I've tried a few pokey spots and I'm well aware that pokey is not cheap. However, I always feel like you get your moneys worth except for today. I paid $23 for this Poké bowl. The fish was very fresh and so were all the ingredients, but I felt like the staff could've been more friendly. The young lady that assisted me didn't give me any type of direction. It was my first time here. The fish options that they had were very simple. The toppings were also very simple. Being that it was my first time, I asked the girl to pick a sauce that was sweet and spicy because I wasn't familiar with the sauces. and she gave me a container didn't explain what it was and just said it's going to be extra. I tasted it. I think it was oyster sauce, but it definitely was not what I was looking for so I went back and asked for two additional sauces, which both were a dollar each extra. I won't be coming back. Although it was fresh and it tasted good. It did not meet my expectations for a poke bowl. My advice would be to thoroughly read the board menu before ordering so you don't miss out on any special toppings. I usually rely on the employees to kind of suggest the good stuff. and I usually like all the sauces mixed so it was unfortunate that I had to pay for each single one. It's a nice place to eat at, but the loud music is very distracting and makes ordering hard to focus on. For the same reason, it's annoying to eat inside. As for the server I got, I'm not sure if it was a bad day for them or what the reason was, but they were annoyed the entire time, especially when I asked for more toppings. The attitude was easily off-putting to me and the people around them too. The food was good; the spicy salmon in specific was overly soggy but tasted fine. It was more of a texture problem and a worry about the amount of time it spent in liquid after cut up. The food overall was average, but that combined with the attitude issue, it wasn't very enjoyable. On top of everything, it was more pricey for what I got compared to other places I've been in the area. I'm not sure if I'd go again, but it does seem like it was a one-off. Poke N Roll's biggest strength would have to be the freshness of the fish. The regular salmon and tuna have a lot of texture that helps them stand out among all the other ingredients and don't have any fishy smell. The spicy salmon, however, was hard to detect because it lacked texture from being really mushy and the spice was very mild and didn't stand out when there are so many other ingredients. The toppings, on the other hand, were just okay compared to how other places like Pokitomik do it. Poke N Roll lets you get two premium toppings for free such as avocado, but things like imitation crab, seaweed salad and crispy onions are considered premium here but not premium at other places. Pokitomik also just has more variety of toppings, with the hot Cheeto crumbs being one of my favorites. Between the two places, I'd pick Poke N Roll if I want better fish and pick Pokitomik if I want something more affordable and their toppings. read more

Back with an update after some time, and I've gotta say--the largest bowl is the way to go. It's definitely the best value on the menu. You get double the fish, they load it up generously, and in my opinion, it's more worth it than getting two small bowls. Just know--it's a lot of food. I got the large bowl with half salad, half white rice, two spicy salmon and two regular salmon. The fish was really fresh and tasted great. I added crispy onions and crab (also solid), and for toppings: cucumber, cilantro, edamame, jalapeño, tempura flakes, and garlic oil. For sauces, I went with spicy poke and spicy mayo--a great combo. Overall, it was a very satisfying bowl and probably the best poke option in Glendale. I personally prefer Sweetfin, but since there's no Sweetfin in Glendale, this is my go-to. Only downside: they limit you to two sauces, which is kind of a bummer. But aside from that, still a strong rec if you're in the area. read more

The poke here is very fresh and the options are good; just what one would expect. It's nice to be able to do half salad, half brown or white rice. The place is in a small strip mall with limited parking but street parking is available. We had just come from a taping of the Price is Right, so this was very convenient and my daughter had gone to this place numerous times when she worked in Glendale. We were glad that it was still here. The ambiance is so so as the large tables are not comfortable where one can sit and cross their legs; if I can't cross my legs I feel like I'm going to fall off the stool. THE BEST POKE EVER?? Been eating here since my college days, and now I drive an hour to get here just because I crave it so much! My Favorite part is that you can bake the fish if you cant eat raw ones,, which is what I always do!! Basically unlimited toppings, and great service. Generous portion,, ended up being $25 after tip and tax but its so worth it!!! Salmon Tempura used to not have any extra charges so thats a little sad now,, used to be my go to fish choice. Best place for Poke so far living in poke central Glendale!! We ordered online and picked up -- awesome easy-breezy clean pickup! They have a parking lot. Our food was already ready when we came around their pickup ETA. (Pro tip, ordering from from us.orderspoon.com/pokenroll has better priced menu than Ubereats if you're doing pickup.) We ordered large with extra scoop and yeah portions were satisfyingly big. They have EEL as one of the protein options!! We got some scoops of salmon and tuna as well. I liked that the fish chunks were big! The taste and color was fresh. Eel chunks could be bigger as well but still tasted so good. So wholesome. Fish, salad and veggies were FRESH. No wilted greens (can I hear a whoop whoop)!! Love that pineapple and avocado is not extra either. You guys are amazing. I actually really like that it's unmixed and the sauces are on the side... I appreciated every single ingredient and made trying out different sauces more fun! It also added to the freshness factor (sorry for using fresh so many times... But it really is!!).
