Ok, I'm giving it 5 stars primarily for consistency over several years, dependability and how nice they are to deal with, even if something goes horribly wrong. We've been eating from this restaurant for over a decade now, mostly doordash over past 2 years. No, it's not world class Mexican cuisine, but they are just consistently good at the basics despite pandemics, Brandon you name it. God bless them for that. Wow what is there to say about this place other than the word DELICIOUS! We decided to try this restaurant after the wonderful smell of food wafted our way while coming and going from the peddlers mall a few doors down! Other than great food, service was quick and everyone was friendly. They have curtains hung between booth but unfortunately some people did not find it necessary to wear masks when they walked away from the table and staff didn't seem to want to engage in an argument. First time since we've been regulars, for too many years to recall, we had an unsuccessful experience. Ordered our usual #16 Lunch for take out. Upon opening at home, missing the cheese sauce, the core essence of the flavor for the spinach and chicken quesadilla. We are consistent with our order(s). My 85 year old mother enjoys the #16 Lunch. Today was our only exception. Never again we will set foot in this restaurant. We waited 30 minutes to place an order. Then we waited an additional hour for our food which never came. We will make sure to let people know this restaurant is terrible. I understand it was very busy but in order to run a successful restaurant there does come a point you need to stop taking to-go orders and properly seat your restaurant so that you can serve the people who are there. read more

Very happy with the service and food. My family of 6 ate until we were stuffed and the bill was right around $60 before tip. 3 ordered off of the kids menu and 3 off the adults plus drinks. Everyone was extremely friendly and fast paced. I ordered an xtra large margarita and it was EXTRA large!!! Had to share with the hubby. I ordered the California Burrito. It seemed like it would be an odd combo but it was a really good HUGE burrito full of steak, chorizo, pineapple and shrimp on the side. I ate the whole thing! Hubby got the spicy burrito and enjoyed it as well. Kids meals were ok. One complained of a soggy bun but that's why you don't order a chicken sandwich at a Mexican restaurant! Pretty good Mexican food! We were passing through the area and decided to give this place a try. Service was very friendly!! We ordered some choriqueso for an appetizer, and MAN, WHAT A HUGE PORTION... And it was quite delicious. :) I ordered a dish that had onions, mushrooms, and broccoli...yes, broccoli... stir fried with your choice of steak or chicken and served over rice with cheese on top. By this time, I was already pretty full from our huge appetizee, but this entrée was delicious!! I was amused I received a dish with broccoli here... that's a first for any mexican restaurant I've been to. I think it was called El R... well. It began with an "R." My boyfriend ordered a chicken plate and almost wiped his plate clean. The waiter also made me an awesome non-alcoholic tamarind margarita! The Lebanon, OH location is, without doubt, the best run restaurant in the business. From the time you sit down the service begins: from the grandmother delivering hot chips & salsa to the table, to the drinks waiter bringing your drinks and then your waiter or waitress comes and takes your order. The food is delivered to your table in high speed fashion, too. The menu choices are very good, and for what imperfections that may be found in the food itself - it is more than made up for in the service you receive! These folks have got it figured out! I really enjoy our local Acapulco. The service is Always top notch and quick. The food is full of flavor, drinks are fun, and all reasonably priced. There is a nice atmosphere and the place really gets popping at dinner time. This is a great spot for families in the mood for Mexican food. The lunch menu is a good value. You can do even better by grabbing a quick coupon before headed here, as they are littered all through Lebanon. They could use a change up on the chips / salsa they serve. They are quite thick and obviously not made in house. The salsa is heavy on tomatoes. I recommend the fajitas! read more

Living up north a bit may have spoiled me, as I don't think this restaurant is as good as Las Piramades in Centerville or the Mexican restaurant across from The Greene in Kettering (I can't remember the name of the place). The chips and salsa here are fantastic, but quite spicey. My girlfriend does not care for the hot salsa, so I asked for mild, but it was lacking flavor. I tried the Hot and Spicy burrito and she got a taco and an enchilada. My burrito was kind of comical because it had absolutely zero spice to it. The salsa was 10x hotter. It had an interesting sauce on it, which I think consisted of blended red peppers. Overall, I'd rate the burrito a 5/10. Completely average. Lebanon seems to be lacking when it comes to Mexican food, so try this place out, you might like it. If you have the gas money and the time, try Las Piramades in Centerville (and try the chicken chimichunga). read more

We were sat down outside, and I ordered a Dos Equis and a margarita for my boyfirend who was in the bathroom at the time. My boyfriend while on the way back from the bath room heard The waiter yell in Spanish across the restaurant (that was empty due to Covid restrictions) that "the @**hole wanted a Dos Equis". I had no other interaction and smiled when I ordered my beer, it's been weeeeeeeks since We could sit down at a restaurant and have a meal. Disappointed to say the least. So, this Mexican restaurant is my guilty pleasure. Nothing beats heading to Acapulco on a Friday night after a long week of work for some great food and margaritas. The service is fast, efficient, and no frills. On a crowded night, they can turn some serious volume but they are always very friendly in getting you to your table and then not rushing you once you are there, even if the lobby is packed. It seems like this place is the "Cheers" of Lebanon. You always see people you know there and it seems to be the closest thing to a local watering hole that I've found in this historic Ohio town. Just coming from a little league game? No problem. Just got off work? Come on in. On your way to a movie and need to get in and out fast? They can do it. Celebrating a birthday? Prepare for some singing, a free dessert, and your picture being placed on the wall with thousands of others. This place is definitely casual and coming in whatever you want is completely acceptable. And kids can jump around and no one cares. And now the best part. The food is legit and the selection is over the top. The menu is actually quite large but they have done a better job of grouping the selections by form (enchilada, tacos, burritos) or meat product (steak, chicken, seafood, etc...). Here are my favorites. Enchiladas Monterrey are your standard chicken enchiladas but covered in chori-queso, which is manna from heaven or in other words a mixture of chorizo (Mexican sausage), cheese, salsa, and pineapple. Anything ending in "Monterrey" will have a similar topping. Another favorite is Arroz con Camarones (Rice with Shrimp). It's a mixture of grilled shrimp, onions, mushrooms, and a chipotle cheese sauce. And my other favorite is Tacos al Pastor- steak cooked in a spicy sauce with pica de gallo and tomatillo sauce. My Venezuelan friend said this dish rivals his hometown cooking so I trust him. And don't forget the coupons if you are going Sunday -Thursday. Lebanon Warrior card gets you 10% off or online they have some other coupons for 1/2 off an entree. Overall, one of my favorite places in Lebanon! See you there. read more

All Mexican restaurants have 3 parts, the chips and salsa, the margaritas, and the food. Unfortunately this one only gets one semi right. The chips are fresh and come out warm. The salsa a little too much on the spicy side for me but pretty flavorful despite my mouth being on fire. I noticed someone said you can ask for a more mild one, but normally it's the other way around, or they bring out 2 types. But if you like a more medium to hot factor they have it. The margarita was a let down. Both frozen and on the rocks. I could make a better one at home. Waaaaaayyyyy too much sweet and sour mix. I could barely finish it. In fact I'm pretty sure I didnt. And finally the food. Meh sums it up. It was pretty bland and lacked a lot of flavor. Even the fajitas were just eh. The enchiladas were the best Ing we had at our table but they were lacking as well. Not even salting it helped. The staff was decent and pretty quick but everything just lacked the flavor it should have. Even Taco Bell might have more flavor than here. It's definitely more Tex-Mex than Mexican. read more

Corn Tortillas are very good quality, not like in the other large chains. Offers Americanized options as well as real authentic options! Portions are large, prices are great. ACAPULCO GOLD! As transplants to this area, food selection is limited. We couldn't even find a Chinese place that delivered for several months. However, after craving some Mexican last week we stumbled upon this gem and have already been back again in less than a week. Chips are hot and fried fresh. Salsa is good according to my boyfriend. "Not too thick, not too thin, and not too tomato-y." I'm not sure what those other folks were ordering that was "bland," but our food was seasoned perfectly and delicious. I had the Acapulco taco salad and seriously could marry the shrimp and chicken. My boyfriend had the nachos al carbon and scarfed down the chicken with haste. This is a BIG deal because he is pretty much a red meat man. Aside from the delicious food, the service was even better! Attentive, quick with a refill, and very accommodating to special orders. We have had a friend begging us to try this place out for some time now claiming "it's the best Mexican restaurant around". However I have to disagree, I still think el picante is the best around. This place wasn't necessarily bad but it wasn't anything special either. The prices we average, the drinks were good and so was the food. This is your run of the mill Mexican restaurant - the exception is the staff - they are great :-) As soon as you sit down they deliver chips and salsa to your table. The salsa is what I would consider on the medium side, but there are several bottles of hot sauce on the table you can mix in to kick it up a notch. The chips are always hot and they are pretty tasty! This particular evening there were 16 in our party. I have to say the service was great. Our drinks stayed full, and all of our food came out at pretty much the same time. I had the fajita chimichanga with rice and beans - and I would rate it.. meh...at best, my boyfriend had the chicken chimichanga with beans and he said his was okay. The rest of our party had a variety of dishes, taco salad, tacos, fish tacos, the kids had chicken tenders, and a burrito. I will say the food comes out blazing HOT, as in inferno plates - so don't touch em'. Again, this is a local little Mexican restaurant, great people but the food is just so-so. read more

Today they brought me a basket of smashed chips, twice. I was excited to see they have "authentic tacos" on the menu, and I ordered it immediately. Much to my chagrin, they delivered it in aluminum foil, all smashed together and flattened like a pancake. The "carne asada" was obviously delivered out of a steamer, it was like it came out of a sauna. The tortillas were like a washrag, just soaked after being wadded and up and smashed into the aluminum tent. The food delivery itself was like they dropped it from a drone. I don't know if the guy even stopped to put it down, it was like he slung it at the table and left. They're so busy making sure they deliver everything in 30 seconds, they forget to make sure it's quality. GET THEM THEIR FOOD, GET THEM OUT AND GET THE NEXT PEOPLE IN ! We have frequented Alcapoco several times. Each time we visit, even when busy, we were seated promptly. The truly stunning thing is the level of service. We literally had chips and salsa the minute we sat down. The server followed right behind to retrieve our drink orders and returned right on time to get our food order. We have leaned that this level of service was not a one time deal. It happens every time. Even more stunning but also suspicious to a certain extent, is the mere 5-8 minutes it takes to get your entrée to you. For most dishes this is just fine because it is obvious that most of the food is prepped or precooked prior to serving and it doesn't affect many of the dishes. However, I wonder about other dishes such as the fajitas that lacked the al dente preparedness of the veggies. They were pretty soft. The flavor was there but not the freshness you'd expect in a good fajita dish. We often get the chumichangas which we love. The place is clean and the food is good. A welcomed addition to the local fare as evidenced by the evening crowds. I would definitely recommend this great Mexican Restaurant. read more

Pretty good food, good prices, but iffy service and decor. The good -- the menu is varied and often quite spicy, the prices are fair, and the portions are huge. The bad -- service seemed disorganized and subpar. We had three people come by and ask if our drink order had been taken in the several minutes it took our waiter to actually bring drinks, then when the drinks came, our waiter spilled a water on one guest without much apology. The decor is basically American diner and a bit run down. On the other hand, as said, the portions are huge, there are a ton of choices, the food is good, and the margaritas and beers are huge too, so it's definitely worth a try if that's your thing. The chorizo cheese sauce is really good, so anything with it should be great. We had the carnitas acapulco (really tasty pork, with a lot of jalepeno flavor) and the pollo acapulco (IMHO, a little oversalted, but still good). All in all, it reminds me a lot of Cazadores locally, but I would give Cazadores a slight edge in food. read more
