The tacos came with chicken cheese and lettuce, I could only eat two because they were stuffed and the chicken was seasoned well and juicy. First time dining in last night around 8:15pm. I sat at table 5, my server was Alejandro I believe? He gave such a fabulous experience! Attentive kind and quick! He checked on me multiple times and the rest of the staff was super attentive, as well. The staff alone made me want to come back again! They were all very kind and welcoming. The margaritas are really good. The chips and salsa were really good. I will be honest I have had better enchiladas, but they were still good. I feel bad for giving this restaurant only 3 stars as it is new, but I can't justify any higher as the food wasn't all that. To start, the entrance was done beautifully with the fireplace and ambiance. The layout was nicely done as well. The painting in the men's room had my husband cracking up. The customer service was good but we had to remind our waiter multiple times about things he forgot. Not a big deal overall but it was slightly annoying. My husband and I both ordered the lunch chicken fajitas and were impressed with the serving size, but the food itself was pretty salty. Not sure what seasoning they are using but less is more. The chips were good but the salsa was very tomatoey. The homemade hot salsa was good though. We also ordered the cheese dip which had a great flavor but it came out luke warm at best. This is the second time that I have eaten at this restaurant and my review has not changed one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in this area the food was excellent. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is excellent. They have done a great job at remodeling what used to be a Golden Corral. On a Wednesday night the parking lot was almost completely filled. As the last time I topped off the meal with fried ice cream which was under $7.00 and was large enough to satisfy 2 people. I had the burrito supreme which comes with fried beans,rice and lettuce and salsa and chips. The salsa was some of the best it was not to spicy nor to mild but just right. Could not compliment the waiter we had u could not have asked for a for any better service. The only negative comment I could make is the waiter would not give us a discount lol. read more

This is definitely a solid Mexican restaurant. I really enjoyed the food. The burrito I got was gigantic! It had great flavor and was filled nicely. The chips and salsa were pretty good. The chips were warm and salty, and the salsa had good flavor and some nice chunks. The overall restaurant is clean and lively. They have some fun decorations and an overall nice ambiance. The one downside I've had from my multiple visits has been the service. While it's never been horrible or anything the wait staff has just seemed slow and not super attentive. Hubby & I stopped here for the first time. We were served hot fresh tortilla chips as soon as we sat down but the "salsa" served with it was awful. It tasted like tomato sauce with a lot of black pepper. Hubby ordered a burrito which has Queso poured all over it. He asked for the Queso on the side which was good because it was spicy & he doesn't like spicy food. I ordered shrimp cocktail. It had 12 large shrimp submerged in a delicious salsa with onions & cilantro along with sliced avocado (think ceviche). If the "salsa" they originally served us were as good as the shrimp cocktail salsa, I would have been a happy camper. Our server dropped off our food, checked on us one time & then disappeared. We got no drink refills & that is unacceptable. After waiting 10 minutes for our check, I got the attention of the manager & asked for our check. After waiting an additional 10 minutes, we finally received our check. In spite of the bad service, I would return to order the shrimp cocktail again because it was really good. read more

This places looks great ,but there far some red flags The menu was to long it took me 15 mins just to see what I wanted ,should take 5mins or less . The menu shouldn't have and blue background with red writing on it messes with peoples eye . There is also one bathroom in the whole place that has 6 toilets for 500 people. When the food came out ,it was fast. our server was very nice looked very over welled .they were over pried on a lot of things,but very good . The owner's did a fabulous job of transforming the former Golden Coral. The décor and furnishings are awesome! It's a shame they didn't invest better in the quality of their food! The waitress took nearly 15 minutes to take our order after we ordered our Margaritas. The drinks were good but nothing spectacular. My husband requested the manager and wanted to let him/her know that 4 straws per glass, gummy worms (and other chewies) plus an umbrella in addition to all the fruit on the rim of the glass was a lot of waste. Ate there a week after they open ordered a burrito deluxe The burrito was so small I thought it was a joke. I sent it back. They brought out another burrito, which was a joke also. Anyways, my wife got a chimichanga which was supposed to be deep-fried. Nope not at all we sent that back also. They brought another one out that was so deep fried. It was ridiculous. Anyways, not very good. They gave me a free meal to come back, so which I did. But I hate to say it was about average. They have a lot to learn. We came in with a party of 4 adults and 3 children and were sat right away. Fresh chips and salsa came out immediately. I thought the salsa was excellent-- great flavor, and I did not think it was too "tomatoey" at all. The queso was great. The margaritas were on special and they are adorable--fancy garnish, little umbrella, and even had a light inside! Very cool! The food was delicious-- even good the next day! Portions were substantial. The tacos came out on a lazy susan, which was fun! Kids and adults enjoyed their meals. Not to mention, a nice ambiance. We debated if we liked it better than Vera Cruz! Normally, I wouldn't do this, but there are several things to point out... 1- It took a minimum of at least 15 mins for the waiter to even take our orders. 2-The waiter spent most of his time chatting up the manager instead of doing literally anything else. 3- After taking our orders, we waited close to an hour for our food...and it didn't even make it to the table. I had to ask for the check and our food to go, because waiting that long is absolutely ridiculous. After they gave every excuse under the sun, "Oh, we had a large party and wanted to get that taken care of first." "Oh, we're having problems in the kitchen," *lies, other tables after us were getting served no problems.* We finally paid and left. That should have been the end of it, right? Nope! 4- I found out that they charged my card for a 31% tip that I didn't leave. If you want overpriced food, awful service, and questionable charges that you didn't ask for, go ahead and try it.
