Stopped in Sunday for lunch. Was surprised how quiet it was, maybe only another two or three tables and they were on the "other side" of the restaurant so it was pretty quiet. My server was friendly and attentive. My meal was delicious...as I told the server the Burrito Nacional has been my go to for 20ish years but I always, always get chicken... so I switched it up and ordered ground beef. It was by no means bad but didn't hit the palate mark like the juicy chicken. That's a me thing, not a food/Acapulco thing! Was still delicious though. I paired my meal with a Dos XX. My server asked "amber?" I told him the amber or larger didn't matter, I like both the same, you choose. He opted for the larger....delicious choice as well. Been have maybe 10 - 15 times. Solid spot for the area and love the free chips and salsa. Service has always been fast and friendly. Great variety. For most dishes i've tried the meat has a burnt taste to it which i don't prefer but the most recent visit the grilled chicken salad was delicious (be sure to specify no cheese as most of the salads come with cheese) read more

Delicious food fast! I had the 5 layer scoop with shredded chicken. She had Yucatán chicken. Their green sauce is delicious. If you have never had their cheese dip, make the trip here just for that! read more

Food 3/5 - We came here for lunch in the middle of the week and got the wet burrito and fajita nachos with grilled chicken. The food was okay, my fajita nachos were swimming in cheese sauce and were very soupy but the wet burrito was good. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - The service was okay, it look a while for us to have our order taken. We had to flag down the server a few times and it wasn't busy inside. Andover location is my favoritoAbsolutely one if not the best Mexican restaurant in Mn! All sorts of dishes -mine is Burrito National with white queso and guacamole! Chicken! Lettuce and pico. Awesome! But All their huge menu dishes are just amazing! Bar is huge /tvs/pulltabs/egames/...and Jonathan is behind it so tip him well! Staff is amazing and friendly! We dined here one weekend evening because we were staying at a Bed and Breakfast with nothing to do. There wasn't a whole lot I could order and I'm not quite sure why, I normally don't have a problem ordering mexican food veganized. I ended up just getting bean burritos with beans and rice on the side. I had thought the bean burrito would have more inside it but they were really just refried beans in tortillas with more refried beans on the side. They likely were cooked with animal fat (my fault for not asking) and I ended up getting very sick for a few hours that night. read more

UPPED THEIR GAME !!!!! I have been here at least 25 times since I wrote the first review. In my opinion , it steadily went downhill. My favorite seafood chimi ended up having more rice inside than seafood. A far cry from what it was years ago. So today we had lunch there after a movie, and HOT DAMN! The decor has been updated a little, and it seemed cleaner. We sat inside instead of the patio, too hot. I didn't remember the stained glass senorita on the ladies room door, but then it has been awhile. Very artsy. Much nicer ambience, except the latino waiters were gone Our gal was ok, Tio Martin was there to add a helping hand and keep an eye on things! It seems that the menu has morphed, and the prices are higher. The up side is that the quality of the food skyrocketed. Hell Yeah...... Maybe I will return sooner to try other old favouites. The food is good but, if you order carryout, as the manager told me just 15 minutes ago, you can only trust that you will get what you ordered "if you call in your order." "We don't know what you mean when write directions" as TOAST invites customers to do. "The cook staff gets confused" ...even if you use simple direct words so "it is better to call in your order." ????? You are warned: "Chips on the side. Don't forget the cheese sauce" are words and concepts too complex for the cook staff to read or understand. The cooks/staff don't trust customers to mean what they write. Perhaps that is because the cooks don't reliably follow their own menu on carry out orders. For example, don't trust that you will get cheese sauce on your Fajita Nachos as stated on the menu. AND, when you complain that you did NOT get cheese sauce, if the manager offers to credit your account, that is only so much smoke. Won't happen. If you order again, and to avoid another unpleasant experience, you kindly remind the cook to "don't forget the cheese sauce" the cooks either forget it again or put it on the side. Madness! BTW, if ordering Nachos to carry out, be sure to ask for them "on the side." The chips dissolve to mush in mere minutes. That doesn't look or taste nice. (You would think that in the interest of quality product, all carry out orders of nachos would be presented that way. But you would be mistaken.) read more

Went here for dinner lastnight with my husband. We used to live in ramsey, the acapulco there is horrible...we decided to give this place a chance! We were not disappointed! We sat at the bar, Daren was our bartender! He was quick and helpful! Our food came quickly and it was hot and delicious! There was, what I believe was a manager on staff, in street clothes. He was micro managing the staff, and doing nothing on his own to help them besides being pestering. We had lunch there and total disappointment. Salsa was served in a broken (salsa actually running out the side of v- shaped break in bowl) dish. I had the creamed beef burrito..the beef was not seasoned and was barely lukewarm. The place was almost empty but had to wait a long while to order then had to find him to get the bill. I ordered takeaway like I have many times in the last year. I was told twenty minutes and went to get the order. I was very surprised to get there to a full parking lot and very full restaurant. After waiting another thirty minutes they produced my order, and when I got home it had been tossed together such that it looked like it was dropped on the floor. They told me they were "backed up" but I saw one family seated, ordered and served food while I waited on an order I phoned in 20 minutes before I arrived. I am glad they were busy again and made it through the pandemic still in business, but they clearly forgot how to run a restaurant over the last year. Very disappointing. read more

Our favorite neighborhood eating place. Especially like eating outside. Tostada stacker with carnitas and order of cheese sauce with beans is my favorite. Good value meal is their frontero tacos, again carnitas. Sometimes carnitas is done different, I like it when it is extra crispy. It was obvious it was not freshly made, and barely reheated before being plated-fail Other order was sizzling beef fajitas, but they were not sizzling, mostly onion and tomato paste. The restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. The staff was polite, but they seemed to have forgotten about us and when the manager noticed us waiting, he came and took our order himself. The food wasn't what we expected. The chicken in my tacos was very fatty, and my husband's meal wasn't great, either. The manager did, however, take care of it and cut our bill for us. We probably will not return to this location, but we did appreciate the way they handled our complaints. Hopefully it was a one-time thing, since most of the other reviews were great. read more

First experience there. Promptly seated by a friendly staff member and a very nice waitress took care of the four of us. Drinks were fine. Now the important stuff. The chips and salsa could have a better salsa, maybe the folks in Minnesota like the "sweet" but it sure isn't Tex Mex and it is mild, almost like tomatoes out of the can. Wife had steak tacos, bland and the meat was cold in the taco, me I had burrito that was smothered in a brown sauce that tasted much like brown gravy, nothing was spicy.
