Excellent chips and salsa, order the hot sauce if you like heat: it's Habenero based so it has amazing flavor. Went here on a Friday afternoon. The place is called 'Fiesta Mexican Grill & Bar' vs 'Fiesta Cancun'. Anyways moving on - ample parking as the restaurant is located in a strip style plaza with multiple other businesses. Was greeted by a super friendly host who was also my server. There is an outside patio but I chose to sit inside, the place was clean with plenty of seating. Server promptly brought over the menus & Chips/Salsa. I asked the server for a recommendation & he took his time to explain the options I was debating on. I went with the EL DORADO from the lunch special and it was amazing! The serving size was fairly big and it was flavorful. Chips seemed fresh and the salsa was pretty dang alright also! One thing to note - there is a difference of prices if you do not pay by cash, I think it is around 3.5% more if you choose to pay by card. read more

Been to this place 3 times and all 3 times I ordered my food with "No Sour Cream" !! I know that it doesn't sound like a very big deal but I have extreme reactions to this dairy product so I ask for any and all food to have no sour cream but all 3 times I've asked and received my food with sour cream !!! So beware if you have food allergies because you don't have any say in how you get your food at this place it seems !! read more

This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant. I had been searching and searching for over a year since I moved here and never had much luck. This place nails it on all aspects for me. We were immediately greeted and our server was to our table with waters and chips & salsa within 2 minutes of sitting down. He gave us time to look over the menu and checked in with us periodically to see how we were doing. He was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. My bf got a friend poblano with shrimp and crab on top- he loved it and would get it next time. I got the quesadilla with shredded chicken. The chips & salsa was good. Food: A great mexican place with lots of good seafood options. Good for people with a gluten allergy as well. Service: Good and usually very friendly. Ambiance: amazing! usually not loud and has quite the decor. Only issue we have is that we usually come in right at opening and have to wait around 15 minutes for them to unlock the door. This is the best Mexican restaurant in Stillwater! A hidden gem! The food is excellent and the service is exemplary. Everybody who works here is so nice and brightens your day. Fantastic environment too. It is decorated really well with great music playing. The portions are huge and the price is great. Warning: their orange sauce with habaneros is incredibly spicy. We stopped in on 10/30. The place was hopping for half capacity!! A very pleasant site at these times when small business needs it! I have never had bad service here and my food was GREAT!! the food is fine, but just to know before you eat here. The service will scam you for cash tips! They will charge your card for your tip as well as taking the cash giving themselves double the tip. Beer drinkers: I got their tapped beer today, and it had that moldy taste for their Miller Light, and then also their Mich Light. I don't go to places when I know they don't clean the tap lines which is why it tastes so bad. The food was very good though and the service was excellent as well. However, I like to have tapped beer when I go out to eat and avoid places that you know don't clean their tap lines for the beer. Thus, even though food & service was good, I won't be back. Absolutely horrible! Worst margarita, watered down, flavorless. Edgar the "server, host, bartender" was an utterly rude. We complained about the margaritas and he had a fit. Had a massive attitude and should probably find another line of work where he doesn't need to interact with other humans. Me and my roommate normally sit at the bar, at this location there where 4 different bar tenders throughout our dinner. Unfortunately they failed to get back to us for a second beer. This is only the beginning, the menus where very sticky and dirty, had to ask to order after sitting at the bar with menus closed for 10 minutes while the multiple bartenders would ignore us, not to mention having to ask for menus. When finished dining we had to ask 4 different people other than bartenders for our tab, it was almost like everyone went on brake at one time. This was a hour and a half dinner at the bar. I know it's not fast food but definitely was not expecting this. The food was good 7-8 out of 10 and service was 0 out of 10 no doubt. read more

Fiesta Cancun is a delicious addition to Oak Park Heights. The service was 5 star. We were seated immediately and our server was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and came out quickly. I had the California burrito which came out sizzling. The steak was lean and well seasoned. Everyone i was with enjoyed their meal. Only drawback was that there were a few mistakes made on our order, flour tortillas instead of corn and refried beans instead of black (which they never had in the first place). Small things. For dessert we ordered churros which I wouldn't recommend. They tasted stale and were drowned in cinnamon to make up for it. Overall a good experience and relatively inexpensive. I had the lunch special #1. The hard shell beef taco was good, the chili rellano was decent, the guac salad only had a tablespoon of guac on it though. The chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was the usual Mexican restaurant standard, nothing special. I liked it, didn't love it, but will definitely give it a couple more visits. This is your typical, average, Minnesota Mexican restaurant. Just walked out of the Hugo location absolutely disgusted. We requested a table inside and not a booth because they are so small. After waiting 15 minutes and watching several parties get seated we finally told them to seat us in a booth. Walking into the dining room we saw several dirty, empty tables. We went back and asked them to clean a table for us. We sat there for another 15 minutes with no service, which is when we decided to walk out. The menus were sticky and absolutely disgusting. The table was sticky and still dirty. When the table was wiped, everything was pushed onto the chairs. The floor was sticky and extremely dirty. This was a favorite spot for us pre-COVID, but now we will never return. read more

Went there last week for dinner after missing out to a couple others due to there busyness. I was pleasantly surprised to how good the food was! I had the BFB, Big Fiesta Burrito and it was awesome! We've gone here 4 times now, and every single time the food has been great, excellent made from scratch guacamole, phenomenal street tacos, large, size of your head burritos filled with fresh ingredients, and oh the margaritas - top notch. Wow!!! Tonight was my first time trying Fiesta Cancun and it's easily become my favorite Mexican spot in the area. We got there in time for happy hour and had house margaritas. I'm not much of a margarita connoisseur so I can't really compare it to other ritas I've had but it was big and cold and yummy. I had the shrimp tacos with mango salsa and those were delicious!!! The shrimp was cooked to perfection and the mango added a nice sweet flavor. They also came on those fancy zigzag taco holders so eating them wasn't a mess. Our waitress talked us into a tres leches cake for dessert and I'm so glad she did (it's a huge slice so it's great for sharing) because it was also incredibly yummy! But by far the best part about this place was the service. We had chips and salsa on our table the second we sat down, our waitress was attentive and helpful, and our food arrived so quickly I thought they might have the wrong table when they started setting plates down.
