I got a groupon for a spray tan here, and it went fabulously. Kristen made me feel as comfortable as I could feel bare naked with my arms and legs spread out like Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. LOL I'm very fair skinned and was nervous I was going to leave looking like Trump, but Kristen steered me on the correct coloring course, and it was seamless. I arrived in Mexico with a tan, and no longer looked like spirit day walking for Día de Muertos. The tan lasted me a little over a week, but I was spending a lot of time in pools, the ocean, and by balcony hot tub! Recommend! read more

Good luck finding a better tanning salon anywhere near the surrounding area. To begin with, Kristen is hands down the most knowledgeable about all things tanning (uv or spray) including all the tanning products (body lotion, facial lotion etc.) available for purchase at her salon. Not only is she the most knowledgeable, she's also incredibly caring of her clients. The salon is ALWAYS clean, you'll never have to worry about an un-sanitized bed at this location. The employees are helpful, friendly and personable. IF there's ever an issue with your experience Kristen will make it right. This place is terrible. They close everything down early starting at 8:30, even though it says open until 9. Only one bed for each level because the place is so small. You can see through the doors while changing. Their little kids are there trying to check people in to the computers but don't know how to use them. I was tanning and a newborn baby was crying in the back room.... not very relaxing at all. Prices are more expensive than other places, especially when the bed you paid for is never available. read more

Absolutely love this tanning salon! Got my first spray tan ever here, and I felt so comfortable. I came back a second time to get a spray tan before my wedding and it turned out amazing. Not only was my tan beautiful, but the service I received was outstanding. Right after my airbrush tan, I had a bridal meltdown due to some stressful things with the venue (typical lol) but I cried and created streaks on my face. I rushed back to the salon and without hesitation, these ladies fixed me right up and even told me to come back the next day to ensure my face was flawless for my big day. The staff are friendly and they appear to take precautions against covid. They clean the spa continuously. The only reason I gave 3 star is because I did not have a satisfactory treatment. I bought the My Lipo treatment for hundreds of dollars but did not see any results - none. Save your money. Don't purchase their package because it's overpriced and doesn't work. Very satisfied customer! I recently made the switch to Acapulco Tan due to not being satisfied with my other salon for weeks. After researching a few different salons I decided to try this salon based off other reviews and I am so happy I did. The salon is always clean, the staff are excellent and knowledgeable with beds and products and most importantly the products are of good quality. This place is awesome! I started going here recently and I love it. I have always been very fair skinned and burn easily but the knowledgeable staff helped me choose the right package and bed so that I wouldn't burn. Their spray tanning is amazing too. I was very nervous about looking orange or fake but they assured me that wouldn't happen as long as I took care of my spray tan, and I love it. This is an adult tanning salon. I don't mean adult like in the porno way but more in like adults work here and most of the clientele is adult as well. Although some of the clients may be strippers or something, it's really hard to tell so maybe adult in the porno way as well? Who knows? As an avid tanner, I have gone to just about every tanning salon in the area (VIP Tanning, TropiTan, Club Soleil just to name a few) and I can say that this salon is great! I bought a Groupon for $36 for one month unlimited in the level 5 beds. When I arrived to the salon I was given a tour and shown the different beds I could use (which with that Groupon I could use any bed in the salon) and to my surprise I also got two lotion packets and 15% all lotion bottles!! The bed I used was great and the bulbs were new and hot. I'm very excited to continue with my month package and I will definitely continue tanning here after my month expires! read more

when i moved to auburn hills i thought i had picked out a great new salon to tan at! i believe there are two women who own acapulco and the one i dealt with my first two times was professional, informative, and very polite. i didn't mind driving the 20-30 minute drive(depending on traffic and construction) because professional salons are hard to come by. one evening i had a bit of free time and decided to tan.. i left my house at 8:15 (they close at 9) .. i arrived at 8:43 and asked if i could just do a quick 4 minute standup.. the other owner was working and told me no because she had already shut everything off. i told her i had driven 30 minutes to get there and again she said no because she wanted to get out of there. i showed obvious frustration in having wasted so much time and gas only to arrive and find out she had decided to close up shop early.. simply because she wanted to get out of there. when she showed no concern for me.. i asked her to cancel my package and fully refund me.. she said casually "that's fine".. and handed me my money back. i have tanned at many salons.. and have worked at one myself. i have never experienced such horrid customer service in my entire life. if you want something very cheap.. this is your place.. but the old saying is true to the core.. Got a spray (airbrush) tan here before a wedding I was standing up in. It was my first time ever having this done, so I was quite apprehensive and didn't know what to expect. I was immediately put at ease by both of the ladies I dealt with when I checked in (can't remember their names, but I think I remember them saying that they were the co-owners of the place). They explained everything very thoroughly, including very detailed after-care instructions. The procedure itself is pretty awkward - standing there mostly naked while a stranger sprays you down - yikes! But she was very professional and made me feel just about as comfortable as one could in that situation. The tan itself looked great, very natural and not orange or uneven at all.
