I am 66 years old and needed a lot of work done to the exterior of my 2 story house. I needed the…read moreold siding removed and replaced with Zip Board and then have James Hardie Board put over the Zip System. I needed 21 old windows removed from my 2 story house and replaced with the new energy efficient ones that I bought at Home Depot. I needed 4 old doors removed and replaced with new energy efficient ones that I bought from Home Depot. On the back of my 2 story house I had a new roof installed over the upstairs deck which is 8 foot deep and 30 foot wide. Jeff Kilpatrick Enterprises was suppose to have torn down all of the old decking and replaced it with 2" X 8" pressure treated wood beams then he was suppose to have put 2 layers of 4' X 8' X 3/4" thick pressure treated plywood on top of the 2" X 8" beams. Then he was suppose to have enclosed the entire top with Zip Board covered with James Hardie Board. Also he was suppose to have installed 2 new doors and 6 - 3' X 3' energy efficient windows that I had bought from Home Depot. Also on the left side of that new room the new door that he was supposed to have installed, the new door was suppose to have opened onto a 4' deep by 8' wide metal grating deck. On the right side of that new room the new door was suppose to have opened onto the metal grating landing of the new metal stairs that were suppose to have replaced the old wood stairs. Then under that new room on the backside of the house Jeff Kilpatrick Enterprises was suppose to have framed it all in with with pressure treated 2" X 6" wood on 16" centers. This new room was suppose to have 5 - 3' X 3' windows on the back wall and 1 door, all of which I bought and paid for at Home Depot. Also on each side of this new downstairs room was suppose to be a door leading to the outside. I keep saying what he was suppose to do because he never did any of that work. He never even started doing any of that work. What he did was on the left side of my house he installed 32 foot of Zip System about 7 foot tall and covered it with Hardie board. At best that 32 foot was done less than half ass. He had no idea what he was doing. He tore the bottom 8 foot of siding off the front of my house and left it like that. He left it with the old insulation and 2" X 4" wood to rot in the elements. I made the biggest mistake of my life by paying Jeff Kilpatrick Enterprises $31,645 up front to do the work. He showed up no more than 10 times and he and his one useless helper Luke never once stayed over 4 hours to do any work. Mostly they smoked cigarettes and left countless cigarette butts all over my property. Every time I would walk outside they were talking to each other about two subjects. Luke would be talking about California and how much he hated it. It turns out they were both from California and had moved to Texas. Luke was always saying to Jeff how horrible California is and Jeff Kilpatrick was always talking to Luke about how horrible Mexicans are. When I heard Jeff Kilpatrick bad mouthing every Mexican on earth I wanted to say something to him but the jerk had my $31,645. Then they just left my house as I have described it to you in a total wreck and never came back. I had spent over $6,000 on materials from Home Depot out of my own pocket plus the $31,645 I had paid to Jeff Kilpatrick Enterprises and they barely got started on the work when they vanished. I tried calling the 3 phone numbers I had for him. Two of the phone numbers just kept ringing & the third one was an answering machine. The way this low life piece of trash Jeff Kilpatrick came into my life was through Home Advisor/ Angi. I contacted Home Advisor/Angi countless times over this. Home Advisor/Angi has been no help at all. I keep asking Home Advisor/Angi why they constantly keep running advertisements on TV & the Internet claiming that everyone on their list is a Verified Pro? All they can say is that he is not a sex offender. What they don't tell you is that the only license Jeff Kilpatrick has ever had in his entire life is for Bug Extermination. Home Advisor/Angi had the nerve to try and blame all of this on the State of Texas. Home Advisor/ Angi said the laws in Texas are to liberal and Jeff Kilpatrick would not have gotten away with this in other states that have stricter laws. Every time I call Home Advisor/ Angie it's the same ole crap. It's like they have a 3 page script that they are reading from. Home Advisor/Angi told me I should contact the Police, so I did. The police say since Jeff Kilpatrick Enterprises started some of the work I would have to take him to court. I contacted some Lawyers and was told that I would have to pay them $25,000 just to start the case and that most likely it would end up costing me $75,000 at the least to settle this matter with Jeff Kilpatrick Enterprises. They said it might end up costing me $100,000 if it went to court for a Jury trial. The lawyers said if I won I would never see a penny from Jeff Kilpatrick.
