I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and coordination from AccentCare regarding my uncle's visit after his move to a new residence. Our caregiver arrived at 7:30am and was told my uncle had moved -- which was expected, because I had already given her the new address last week. She also notified AccentCare ahead of time that the client was moving per the family's instructions. She was told someone would follow up, but no one ever did. Because their system requires GPS updates before a caregiver can proceed, she ended up waiting from 7:30am for someone at AccentCare to update the address, even though she already knew exactly where he lived. Instead of allowing her to go directly to the client, she was stuck waiting for a system update that never came. I also called AccentCare and only reached the answering service. They said they would notify the on‑call person, yet a day later I still have not received a call back. This is unacceptable. When a company is responsible for vulnerable clients, communication and follow‑through should be the bare minimum. AccentCare needs to do much better. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. The word "Care" should not be in AccentCare's name. Getting anyone on the phone is nearly impossible, and when you do, nothing actually happens. I have spoken with at least eight different people at AccentCare over the course of weeks. I signed a consent form back in January, and to this day, no care has been provided for my grandmother. No follow up. No coordination. No accountability. To make matters worse, despite being given my grandmother's current assisted living address and room number no fewer than three times, someone from AccentCare still drove to her old house instead. That level of disorganization is alarming especially when dealing with elderly patients who need timely, competent care. This has been a frustrating, time consuming, and completely unacceptable experience. Families reach out to home health companies during stressful moments, expecting professionalism and reliability. AccentCare delivered neither. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company. Look elsewhere. read more

They promised music therapy, a clergy member to speak with and some pt. Nothing! Plus they got the meds wrong. When I called to ask about what we promised and no return call or text! Horrible! The aide that came out for personal hygiene care was wonderful! However, I called the nurse when my dad started a fever, vomiting and started having seizures, I never heard from her! Unbelievable. I would just suggest you check on your loved ones, especially if you live out of state. Very poor management of their patients and they lack the ability to identify signs of neglect/abuse. They lack caregiver oversight to ensure they are provide adequate care. They do not follow Texas mantory reporting laws. Lack oversight to ensure fraud isn't occurring. The condition my father was in prior to passing was unacceptable; severely malnutritioned, neglected, bed sores, and gross UTI. So if you use this company I suggest to not just assume your loved ones are okay because they are being cared for by this company, make sure they are being cared for. Office staff exhibits self preservation behaviors when presented with failures of their care team, will refuse to send documentation without getting a subpeona for it depite you being authroized to receive the PHI of your loved one. read more

If you are in Tampa Bay please use a different Hospice group other than AccentCare. When signing up my husband in the hospital the employee promised many things and said he was eligible. Walked right out of our room and told the nursing staff something entirely different! I had to meet with different AccentCare employees and hospital staff to actually get him the hospice care he needed. They Never left any information and to this day I do not even have a copy of what I signed. My husband never made it home but was to receive care in the hospital. He got the drugs, they are very generous with that! The visits , the Tuesday music therapy they promised...never happened. Nothing they promised never happened. One reason I was told to sign with hospice is, "They take care of everything." If he passes at home you call them not 911 etc. Well he passed in the hospital and I never heard from them and neither did the Funeral Director!! When I went to make arrangements they said they didn't have his body, never got a call!!! This is horrible at the worst possible time . The grief is over whelming as it is and then you have to deal with ....Where is my Loved One!!! Still in the hospital morgue after days!!! I had to call several people, I had to take care of it all. My mother obtained the services from AccentCare through SCAN, her insurance provider. A caregiver first arrived at my mother's home on Tuesday, 10/20/2020 and returned on 10/22/2020. However, on 10/22/2020, a representative from AccentCare called me at the end of the day to advise me that her company was unable to Obtain a caregiver to visit my 92-year old mother who suffers from early on-stage dementia, on Friday, 10/23/20. AccentCare should know that calling at the end of any business day impedes the ability to contact another company to schedule a visit by a caregiver. Claudia, the woman who left the voicemail, said she could instead send a caregiver to my mother' s home on the weekend. Since I previously scheduled a caregiver to come to my mother's home on Saturday 10/24/2020 and I called AccentCare and asked a representative named Joseph if a caregiver could be sent on Sunday, 10/25/2020. At 5:15 p.m. today (Friday 10/23/2020), I received a call from AccentCare advising me that they would be unable to send anyone on either Saturday, which had been previously scheduled, or Sunday. Again, the call arrived at the end of the day on a Friday making it impossible to acquire services from another company. I was annoyed at the shoddy, irresponsible conduct of the representatives of a company that apparently is poorly staffed and whose employees are poorly trained. I've also now read several reviews about this poorly managed company and based on the reviews, this is a company saturated with service related issues and evidently devoid of the ability of creating a positive customer service relationship. I will be filing a grievance with SCAN as I can't fathom why they would enter into an agreement with AccentCare. It's also interesting that positive reviews were posted following the publication of highly negative reviews. If you care about your loved ones, avoid this company. read more

We used this company for several months until I could not take their poor communication between care-givers, billing department and office personnel. It didn't matter that I spoke with the billing dept. they still did not correct the mistake. I e-mailed the supervisor of billing and still no response. Office personnel told me I could not tell the care giver how we would like things done at our home. If a care-giver is spraying Lysol on an asthmatic person's bed. I do have the right to tell her not to. Care-givers would not show up or arrive late frequently. There are too many issues to list here. Also if the care giver is not a good fit they will try to push that person on you. I have used other companies they all have their good and less than favorable practices, but Accent care is at the bottom. On my last invoice they did not credit me the deposit, yet it was a month since we stopped service? When I called the billing depart they said they were not told we stopped the service. read more

I am updating my review at 1st Accentcare had provided nursing for my son in Riverside as of December of 2020 I have moved out of Riverside to Hemet and my nurse that I have had could not make the drive any longer which is understandable. Accentcare took 2 months to provide a nurse which she lasted a month because she was going to school to become an RN. What I have trouble with this office is the lack of communication not updating me if they are looking or whatever. I have to contact the office to get an update. You would think they would be contacting me every Monday on the status of my sons care. Nope and when you call you can here in their voice a big sigh that I am bothering them when it's their job to find a relpacement. Since the change of employee's Accentcare has gone downhill on communication and providing services for my son. read more

This company is not only very unprofessiona, ghetto if I should say, they will have you do orientation and turn around and not pay you at all, don't even try to accommodate you for your wasted time, a check would do, but don't waste your time there are better paying companies and more professional companies that are out there. Huge reason why I don't deal with colored that call themselves being in charge please learn how to run an organization before hand it would help, who knew that saying I would come to the office to speak with a supervisor myself was a threat? Wow, how else am I suppose to speak to a supervisor? Can someone explain this to me? I have no supervisor number, would you not go to the office to speak to the supervisor, the person in charge correct? My 92-year-old father has been an AccentCare client for 18 months now. AccentCare's care givers arrive daily at his home to perform many services including preparing his meals, plus laundry, light housekeeping and personal grooming. If you're looking for an agency that will provide you with experienced, reliable care givers then AccentCare in Riverside is who you should call. One of their care givers has been caring for my dad since January 2017 and frankly, we would never want to replace her because her level of care is outstanding. While walking indoors one day last December, my dad suddenly lost his balance. She was right behind him and used her skills to instantly prevent him from falling. And where did she acquire these skills? I learned that AccentCare routinely provides ongoing training for its care givers. And she had taken their course on fall prevention. Bravo, AccentCare!! Finally, the staff at the Riverside office prides itself on customer service -- and it shows. If you ever have scheduling questions or concerns of any kind, they'll address them quickly and with the utmost of courtesy. As a caregiver I have worked with company back in 2013, worked until about 2016, due to getting married and helping my husband with our business. Now a few years have past and wanting to do part time, Accentcare was the first on my list to go back to, very happy, they work with you and are very understanding, if I need vacation time off, they are good with that and don't give you a hard time, my supervisors and staff are great, a very happy employee with Accent, I would highly recommend, they take good care of us. read more
