Vladi came to my house today regarding refrigerator light on for changing the filter. he started to touch the filter with all my food on the shelf. i told him to stop. i took out my stuff on the shelf, set it aside. he then reached in an took out the filter, then water started to come out of the filter area. i yelled expletives. he then yanked my refrigerator out, and then went behind to turn off the water. i yelled expletives at him. i then told him to move back while i then took out all my food and started to clean up all the water in my refrigerator and off the floor. i was yelling expletives at him. he asked, "are you having a bad day"? i yelled at him again to get out of my expletive house. pathetic, irresponsible, what a mess, yelled and screamed at him as he left my house. never again. read more

Absolutely ridiculous! I rent and had a problem with my dryer about a year ago. My landlord told me to call this place. Fast forward, my dryer wasn't working again so i called. Vlad came out, spent some time on it, fixed it and i called my landlord and he paid over the phone. Now, a few weeks later, dryer still not working. Vlad came again, looked at the dryer, said nothing is wrong and i need to get the vents cleaned. And gave me a bill for $60! Seriously! So basically his previous work is not guaranteed. $60 is way to high to come over and tell me nothing is wrong. If it was $20, maybe i would understand. And the fact that he was here for two minutes. And especially because we have used him in the past and he was just here like 5-6 weeks ago. I would have called him sooner but i had surgery and an on disability and blah blah blah. Our 12 year old fridge started to lose its cool, so I reached out to Vladi to check it out after reading a bunch of good reviews here and on our local city site. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and gave me a quote for the fix. His quote was reasonable for what needed to be done, but was at a point that it didn't make alot of sense to do the fix instead of buying a newer fridge. Even though he only was charging the modest inspection fee since I decided not to do the fix, he was still very generous with his time in reccomending replacement fridges that I asked about. I texted him a couple times after his visit about replacements and he vetoed a couple we were interested in based on his experience with those models. I thought it was very nice of him to do! I called in the afternoon and Vladi came out the same day to our house to fix a dryer that wasn't heating up. It turns out that the shady appliance dealer (Appliance Exchange in Santa Ana, avoid them!) that sold us our secondhand washer and dryer had deliberately modified the wiring so that it wouldn't stop if it overheated. Vladi to the rescue! He took the time to show me exactly what needed to be done to fix the problem, enable the safety feature and get my dryer working properly again. He even asked me if I preferred to buy the parts and install them on my own, if I wanted to save a little money! That's amazing! Not only is he honest, but he's incredibly good at explaining what he needs to do to fix the issue, and he keeps you informed throughout the entire repair process. Set up an appointment to have my dryer repaired. Upon arrival and within two minutes of discussing the problem, Ivan seemed to know what the problem was. He was in and out of my house in less than 30 minutes. The service itself was great. However, being charged $130 for labor costs (parts were separate) for less than 30 minutes worth of work, is an exorbitant price. This equates to a rate of $260/hr. read more

Called after Sears just didn't show to repair my Maytag dryer. With Sears had to listen to recording after recording to get to India. Frustrating. Called Access and actually spoke with a real person!!! Technician was at my house the same day. Spent 15 minutes and told me what the problem was and the.cost for repair. Vladi who goes by Ryan had good reviews, but we had a very poor experience with him. After replacing our high end dishwasher with a low end GE for $529,he turned us over to GE just three months later when it malfunctioned. He wouldn't give us a contact number for them right away, insulting us by saying it was easy to get online. The number he gave us was for the wrong dept. He didn't really care, in a nut shell. When we finally got GE they said they would only service for $99. When I called back to ask why, I couldn't talk to a real person. Finally got through by calling from a different phone. They are going to come out and do a service call, but good customer service would have been to have the number and process politely given, with regrets for our inconvenience. I have a Wolf microwave (inherited through a previous home owner) and did not realize it requires very specific hardware to fix. I've called so many numbers after researching here on Yelp and even though I really wanted to go with other reviews, they just didn't fix Wolf appliances. Vladi does service Wolf appliances and is able to order parts made specifically for it so I went ahead and called him on a Sunday night to see if he had time available to come in. I'm used to being given a crappy time frame (the most inconvenient of all times) for maintenance or service guys to come in so I was expecting the same from Vladi. However, that was not the case and he was able to come in the very next day, Monday during the evening (EVENING at SIX everyone! From my experience, many people would only come out the LATEST at 4pm. I mean, I have to work too, you know? Who has time for that?!). Sorry for the time rant, but he came out and assessed the situation in 15 minutes (mind you, it is a built-in unit so it takes some time for him to actually take it out of the wall). He gave me two possible problems with the microwave unit and took it home with him to better assess it. I received a call the very next day that he fixed it because it was a relatively minor problem that he did not need to order parts for. I wasn't available that day to receive my microwave back, but he came the very next day at MY CONVENIENCE. Thanks Vladi! The only beef that I had with Access Appliance Repair is that it can be a bit pricey. But for me, it is a Wolf microwave after all... so anything that costs less than what this unthinkably expensive unit is... probably worth it still. read more

I called Access after my newish LG washer refused to turn on. Vlad came out to my house the very next day and offered two solutions to fix it. He could try to rewire it (less expensive and about an 80% chance of working), or I could purchase a new motherboard (more expensive!). I opted for the rewire and within ten minutes my washer was in perfect working order! I also had Vlad take a look at my dryer which was taking an inordinate amount of time to dry clothes. He fixed the problem shortly and offered several tips on how to extend the life of my dryer, and my clothes. In all, Vlad was timely, quick, and honest. My dishwasher went our recently so I called Access Appliance Repair and Vladi came by my place at 6:30 right on the dot as requested. Within 15 minutes he knew exactly what was wrong with it and knew where to get the part. He was back the next day to install it and I was up and running in no time. Bought a washer/dryer set off good ol' craigslist . . . hoping for the best. Unfortunately, when I got them into my place came to find out that the dryer didn't actually dry (craigslist fail) I called Vlad that afternoon (it was Easter Sunday) and he returned my call within a couple hours. I called in the morning they were there in the evening to meet my available window of time. The service charge was 49.95 which went towards the belt for the dryer. They even called to come early but I was stuck at work and it was no problem for them. They fixed the dryer on the spot in less than 10 minutes, and it was reasonable. $131.00 for a belt, labor, etc. It would have taken me time to run back and forth to find the right belt. He did a good job fixing my dishwasher but he charged $150 for 40 minutes of work and that was for labor only, no parts or anything. Thats an hourly rate of like $225, very very steep if you ask me. Would be 5 star if it wasn't for the price. UPDATE: My dishwasher broke again within his guarantee timeframe of one month. He came out again, free of charge, to diagnose the problem. He said the control board is damaged which would cost $290 to repair. I checked the price of the broken part online, which was $130, and replaced the part myself within 20 minutes. The difference of $160 seems to be for his labor (for 20 minutes work). BE AWARE OF HIS LABOR RATES. Check online for the prices of the parts first. read more

My 5 year old GE Profile fridge was not staying cold. I called in the morning and got appt. for service between 12-3pm. Vladi showed up at around 130pm. He first diagnosed me for having a bad motor and would be able to fix it for $287.33. Yikes! I wasn't ready for that amount. Then when he switched out to a new motor, he said the fan isn't working properly so he found a place in Cerritos that had a new fan for approx. $100. He said he wouldn't charge me for the time it would take him to drive to Cerritos to pick up part and bring back to fix for me. So he said my cost would be the $287 + $100 = $387+ change to get my fridge working right. Then he goes out to his vehicle and comes back with some parts and worked on my fridge and said that it wasn't my fan that was bad but the mother board that was bad instead of the fan. So he switched out my mother board and said that although the mother board costs him more to replace on my fridge, he wouldn't charge me more because he didn't feel it was right to increase the cost of repair again. He said he was taking a $70 loss on this job. I had to inquire about any warranties and he said I have 30 days warranty on labor and 1 yr on parts but it's not written anywhere on my receipt. The bill was $399+ change. It was a hefty unexpected price for me and he would only take a check. He asked that since he gave me a discount by not charging another $70 more for the mother board that perhaps I would leave him a good yelp review. Only thing was, he had impatient disposition when I asked him about what's going on with my fridge and the course of action needed to fix it. What do I know about mechanics? I get it that sometimes people lose patience with others who are not too up to speed on stuff. Sorry, I am not keen at all when it comes to fixing any machines. A little nicer disposition would have earned him 5 stars. For the moment, my fridge is working great and I am very glad he came out quickly to fix it. It's my first time working with him so I don't know if his prices are reasonable. Crossing my fingers & hoping this fridge isn't going to cost me any more $$$!!! read more

Called at 1:30 on a Monday afternoon regarding my washer....they had someone out within an hour. He quickly and efficiently diagnosed my problem and in less than an hour had my washer fixed! They waived the service charge and my total bill was $125. If I had called Sears I would have paid that just for the service call and I am sure that they wouldn't have even been available for days. I have been dealing with a dishwasher drain problem for over a month. Messed with it myself and then called another company. They tried to repair it but the problem came back.
