Dr Frooz and her team are amazing with my kids. I have kids ranging from 4 to 14 and she has taken care of all of them since they were around 1 year old. Dr Frooz and her team are very gentle, sensitive and attentive to the kids. All of my kids enjoy their visits and have never walked out of their visits crying. When they were younger the kids did tend to do better when I wasn't in the room, but I've always had the option of going in with them. The hygienist are amazing and they speak to the kids in a way that comforts them. The Dr is very attentive to the kids, so much that my middle and youngest will hug her when they are done. The dr seemed like she knew what she is doing and everything was ok but the fact that no parents are allowed to go back with there kid seems so crazy to me, I don't think any parent feels comfortable leaving there kids go back alone let alone a 2 or 3 year old. They said only on there first visit one parents is allowed back. Going to the dentist is scary enough for kids this is just ridiculous. Staff wasn't friendly either looked like they could care less. Any parents that are looking into bringing your kids just be aware about the whole "no parents" thing they have going on. read more

Clean and sanitized office. All the ladies are very friendly. They made my daughter feel comfortable and confident during the whole process.

Dr. Frooz has been my son's dentist since he was 1. Initially, we came in due to stains on my sons's teeth that had developed due to a supplement he was prescribed as a baby. Dr. Frooz listened to our concerns and was able to remove these stains. Now my toddler has a beautiful smile. I normally do not write reviews but I think it's important parents know what they are getting into because if I had known "the office policy" I would have never scheduled an appointment to begin with. I took my 6yr old to Dr. Frooz for a check up, she and her staff were so kind and i felt they were very honest, my son loved them too. I thought I had found the perfect dentist for my kids. We had to set up another appointment as my son had a cavity that needed to be fixed, as I'm walking out Dr. Frooz informed me that they do not allow parents in the room with their children as they get treatments done. I was completely shocked. I don't even see how that can be legal. I don't know the staff or the doctor, in this day an age you hear things happen to children far to often and I would never put my child in a position I could not protect or comfort him. I don't care how long Dr. Frooz has been a dentist and she may be the best but her policy in my eyes is neglectful and wrong on SO many levels. read more

Just got out from my sons first appointment here. He's always had bad experiences at other places & I was very pleased that they were able to keep him calm. He wasn't scared! they had me wait in the waiting room & called me in to let me know how it all went! Happy he doesn't have cavities, but he will need some work done. We were recommended to this dentist by a good friend. And rightly so. They were fabulous here! Yes, my younger son was acting a little scared and hesitant, so I said I was going to the restroom for a minute and he listened much better for them as I was around the corner listening in, but he couldn't see me so I couldn't baby him. He's 2 and that's just what they do. My older 4 year old son loved it. It's definitely well set up for kids. It's a very open concept office environment, they have a few different areas for different aged kids. We obviously used the younger area. They bribed my youngest with a fun toy, prizes, and they gave us the typical dentist goodies, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, stickers. The kids loved it, I loved that they knew what they were doing and were sweet and caring with my kiddos. I understood and appreciated Dr. Frooz going over their little teeth with me, and their gentle cleanings. It was an awesome first experience and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Don't hesitate. Just go. You won't regret it, it's not weird, it's excellent. Truly. If I had one complaint, it would be that we walked away with too many goodies. Lol Oh, and they accept medi-cal or denti-cal. :) Side note if you're worried about past bad reviews: Ok, I was hesitant after reading some reviews, but clearly Roman & Betty down there are together & their kid was going crazy and they needed to leave the room, right? We all know sometimes our kids act better with their teacher or listen to the nurse, store attendant, etc. better than they do us sometimes. It's not a mystery. My kids 19, 16, 15, and 12 have been going here since they were toddlers. THEY love it. They have no issues with "going to the dentist". Through having insurance and medi-cal, I have always received the best of service. My third child is autistic and he or the staff have never had issue. I can't thank Access children's dental group enough. We have tried so many "children's" dentist groups. None of which I was impressed with. Yesterday my 4 year old daughter complained about pain in her upper molar area, I knew she had a cavity, but when I looked into her mouth she had an abscess forming. I called frantically and they got me in within 30 minutes. The team was not only professional but prompt. When we arrived, this was our first visit to the office, it was clean, inviting, and most importantly kid friendly. Our daughter had an amazing experience, she ended up getting her tooth extracted, which can be a pretty scary moment, but she was completely calm and was even excited to see her tooth at the end. All the details made this experience wonderful; the staff and the amazing dr. Frooz Fatoorachi, the office, everything was amazing. Each exam table had a cute mermaid tail for the kids to get cozy in, colorful glasses, and a tv/headphone set For them to watch a show to keep them busy and calm.,Honestly, She woke up this morning with no pain, I can't wait to bring our other two kids here. I really can't say enough good things about this place. The front desk staff is always friendly, the back office staff are so patient with the kids and the dentist really takes the time to talk to the kids about their hygiene habits in a way that they understand. Most importantly they do not perform unnecessary procedures like some other places we have been to do. The office has a really comfortable waiting area with a nice kids play area. Let me start off by saying that all these stories releases of little kids being hurt/abused by dental, medical professionals would keep any sane parent on their toes. The staff has always been friendly to us. The doctor is knowledgeable in regards to pediatric dentistry. My last visit (seriously my LAST) was terrible, so much that I was upset about it the whole day. My in laws and parents agreed with me, even some mom boards that I'm on was kinda sketched out about this last visit. Everything was smooth up until of the dental assistants asked us if we wanted to wait outside. We said no (1), and she left us with our 3 years old daughter. Cleaning was fine, our daughter is scared of the noise from the electric toothbrush, so she started crying a bit, which I expected. Dr. Frooz came out and asked us if we wanted to wait out (2), again we said no because we were able to stay. She left and the hygienist was trying to brush our daughter's teeth. The dentist intervened and stopped the procedure. I took my daughter to the restroom and came back and the dentist was asking us again (3) if we wanted to sit out. I get that kids act extra with parents there, but they should also know kids will cry and act up REGARDLESS if parents are there. So she goes on about how she works with kids all day and they do this and act "better" when parents aren't there. I call BS because I don't know a single toddler that will let you brush their teeth like that and not cry about it. So again (4) she asked us to sit out next time because it's their "policy". I was NOT aware that they had this policy. Even before and during our first appointment there. So when did this secret policy come out? Why were you so pushy for us to leave? If it was because it was so crowded, I offered to leave but my boyfriend to stay with her. Never have I had to leave my 3 year old with a medical professional. So what's the rush all of a sudden? What were you trying to hide? So to all parents, please ask the staff what secret policies they have before having them bill your insurance. read more

I've taken my son to Dr. Frooz since he was in 2nd grade and he's 14-1/2. He has ADHD and gets quite anxious. When he was younger he'd get out of the chair and throw a fuss and she handled him very gently. They are all great with kids and have kid shows for the kids to watch as they are being treated (on the ceiling). It helped my son so much to be distracted. They also offer nitrous (laughing gas) which we used to have to use when he was younger (extra fee - but worth it). As he got older, he knew what to expect. I also agree that parents should sit in the waiting room, because (having owned and run daycare and having my own son act up near me) kids do better when the parents are in the waiting room! He was always treated well. I recently moved to Arizona, and we miss Access Childrens! I'd highly recommend them. I hope we find someone as nice and professional here where my son won't get anxious! read more

My family and I moved to North County San Diego in April of 2009 and have gone through several dentist before coming to this dental office. Dr. Fatoorachi and her staff are wonderful with children, they are patient, quick and explain each procedure in a kid friendly way (the drill feels like a tickle). The office is exceptionally clean. There are TVs on the ceiling above each dental chair to keep the child's mind destracted during the procedure. I am very impressed with Dr. Fatoorach, staff, and facility, I would highly recommend Access Children's Dental Group to friends and family. read more

Dr. Frooz and her staff are wonderful. There was a mix-up with our insurance and the staff was patient and helpful. They contacted our insurance and figured it all out. I had my five children (all under age 8) with me at our first appointment and it could not have gone better. The waiting room was great and the receptionist was very kind and understanding. i thought i had found the perfect dentist for my child but i was mistaken i have brought my child here since she was 1. everything was going well until recently i brought her for her cleaning, all of a sudden out of no where they had a "no parents allowed in the back" policy. the previous times i brought her here there was absolutely no problem with us being there. my child is 3 years old, a dentist is still very scary for her and of course she started to freak out when it was time for them to start the cleaning. when we tried to console our daughter because she was visably shaking from nervousness and anxiety dr Frooz had the audacity to come in and tell us to leave, we stood our ground and declined, but she kept asking over and over again to leave, we weren't being obnoxiously loud or bothering any one or interfering with the work, all we were doing was saying "its okay!you can do this" and other words of comfort to our daughter, dr frooz would not stop telling us to leave it was annoying. we thought maybe both of us being there was crowding the area so her mom decided to leave and i stay but that wasn't enough they wanted both of us outside in the waiting room. i am not going to leave my 3 year old who is obviously scared out of her mind alone with strangers. they tried to argue that theyre professionals and they know what theyre doing. apparently theyre only professional when the parents arent there? why was the dentist so pushy for us to leave? what were they trying to hide? it all left a bad taste in my mouth and i will not bring my child back here who knows what other out of the blue policies they bring up. ughh read more
