After reading the other comments I was quite nervous when I saw the gray haired older lady working as receptionist. She was on the phone when I walked in so I waited a few steps away from the counter. While on the phone she greeted me and said she will be right with me. I smiled, nodded and took a seat. When she was done with her call she called me up, asked a few questions and gave me my paperwork. After I finished my paperwork she said to leave it on the counter. I did. Then I was called in to take X-rays. The guy taking X-rays was kind and professional. Then i went to the room. Then talked with the PA. She explained my X-rays and treatment. Everyone there was really nice and professional! I would definitely recommend All Access Ortho!

First time here, heard about it from my friends. Walk in clinic with no appointment. The staff was very nice and helpful. 2-months ago playing tennis, fell and hit my shoulder while running for the ball. Rehab my self with massage Acupuncture and going to the gym. I'm at 98 percent without pain. Just couldn't get to 100% for my serve and overhead. Came here to get an Xray and Dani did an ultra sound to see more than the Xray. She suggested that I get a MRI, and after meet with Dr. Darrel Kan. They have 3-Clinics around Honolulu. So if you have any injuries due to sports related or work. Please give this place a try. As you know , making an appointment with an Orthopedic surgeon is not that easy. Aloha, Derek

I can't believe all the times I've been to Gyu-kaku I've never noticed this place! Convenient, friendly service, decent parking , and no appointment needed. Located a hop, skip, and a jump (don't hurt yourself, or you just might need to visit) away from Gyu-kaku in Mililani Mauka. Parking could be a challange depending what time of day you stop by (open 7 days a week Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, Sat & Sun 9am-5pm) as they do share a parking lot with the other busy businesses in The Gateway. Unfortunately, I was referred here after a visit to Wahiawa General determined I had a fractured shoulder from a slip and fall. Had I known about them sooner I could have eliminated that ER visit, and bill all together! One downside was all the paper work they have you fill out. Thank goodness for my husband because I couldn't write with my fracture being in my dominant arm. I went first thing Sunday morning, love that they're open all 7 days of the week, makes it super convenient. There was no wait and the PA I saw was very sweet. I was disappointed that no additional imaging was performed but after a short exam the PA said she didn't think it was necessary after reviewing the CD of my x-ray from the ER. I was referred to a doctor Blum for follow-up in 1 week and thought it strange that he wasn't available to be seen at this location, but instead I had an option of Honolulu or Kapolei for my visit. All in all this place is super convenient and can save you a trip to ER if you have an orthopedic emergency in the Mililani area, just be prepared to fill out a lot of paperwork.

We knew from the very beginning that this was going to be a long road to recovery, but he was finally able to "graduate" from PT in October 2025, a whole 11 months after his surgery. We are so thankful to Kyle and all the staff at SportsMedicine Aiea for everything they did for my son to help him gain his strength back in his knee. For a whole 11 months, we spent afternoons there 3 days a week, so it really did feel like family there. The front desk staff was always so friendly and helpful and my son had nothing but nice and positive things to say about the therapists there. It was a bittersweet moment when Dr. Oishi told us he didn't have to go to PT anymore. It was great news to hear, but sad at the same time that we never got to say a proper goodbye to the staff at SportsMedicine. So thankful you Kyle and everyone at SportsMedicine, for everything you did to help in Elijah's recovery. We miss you guys, but we hope we never have to visit your clinic again soon

I went there for 3 months and was stuck at 80 degrees. The Doctor then recommended a manipulation under anesthesia and said I needed to go somewhere else for my therapy. I gave in and went to SportsMedicine where I should have gone in the beginning. I was assigned to Steven Tom a professional, knowledgeable, patient and very understanding physical therapist who treats everyone with respect. He had a genuine concern about my other health issues and always inquired on the status. At first I was slow and I resisted taking the initiative to become independent in my routines. Steven and the other therapist steered me towards independent exercises and take ownership for my recover. They all provided me with excellent support and encouragement to move forward. It is a busy place and you might think that you are entirely on you own in your task however, if you are not doing your routines correctly or are hesitant one of the therapist will come over to assist and help with necessary corrective action. They may be busy but they all are aware of what is going on with everyone. The front office have been very accommodating, professional and friendly. I do not want to have this kind of surgery again but if needed I would not hesitate to come here again. Thank Steven and staff.

Extremely frustrating experience with Central Oahu Physical Therapy in Aiea…read more When Central Oahu Physical Therapy received my referral for lumbar pain, I waited an entire month just to begin treatment. I was scheduled for four weekly sessions, with my final appointment on 3/31/2026, where the physical therapist was supposed to evaluate whether I needed continued care. However, it makes no logical sense to have an evaluation when there are no further appointments available with the same physical therapist until May -- over a month away. This completely defeats the purpose of the evaluation and continuity of care. I spoke with the telephone receptionist, who also acts as the office manager. Her primary role is reception, yet she presented herself as if she were a decision maker. When I asked to have the owners call me, I was told to look them up on the website. She is not an owner and cannot make final decisions. The owners never called me. Instead, Physical Therapist Erin deNeeve Baum, an employee of Central Oahu Physical Therapy, called and left a message. I chose not to return the call because I did not want to speak with her. Oahu is a very small business community, and in a situation like this, a professional and concerned owner would have made a courtesy call. That did not happen. This office appears to have a serious breakdown in communication between the physical therapists and the front office. Rather than coordinated patient care, it feels like a system where patients are moved through a set number of visits without clear follow-through or continuity. It gives the impression that the focus is on bringing in more patients and generating revenue rather than providing effective, continuous care After four visits -- the first being mostly measurements and only three visits with minimal exercises -- I am still not better. Quite frankly, this was a waste of time. A friend shared exercises given by her own physical therapist that have been more helpful. Also, with today's technology, you would expect more modern patient support. Instead of printed paper exercise sheets, there should be access to a digital platform with guided videos and progress tracking. These types of exercises are easily found online, which makes the lack of added value from this office even more disappointing. If you are considering physical therapy, do your research and look elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would strongly caution against choosing Central Oahu Physical Therapy. You may end up frustrated, delayed in your care, and no better off than when you started. Patients deserve far better.

When you do call them on the phone, it's a long holding time to get someone from the urology department. I called May 2026 to request a change in urologists since Dr. Lee was unresponsive and had an unreasonable rescheduling policy with Pali Momi imaging. They said they would get back to me with a "transfer of care" but they never did. They tried to get me to transfer to Castle urology, which is too far for me. I was told they are understaffed but THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM. It's their problem, and Straub Pearlridge has made no attempt to resolve this. Don't bother to get a blood test at this clinic. Long wait times. I ended up leaving after waiting for 45 minutes. The clinic was packed with people who had the flu. Shortly afterwards, I caught the flu from waiting so long in a crowded, shared space with sick patients. Years back, I ran into the same problem with HPH Straub psychiatry department. I could only see a doctor once a month online for 10 minutes. Their talk therapists weren't taking new patients. 15-20 years ago, Straub was a decent system. But for certain specialists and clinics, they have gone downhill. I strongly suggest to avoid Straub Pearlridge, especially their urology department and for getting blood tests.

Recently I broke my leg while vacationing in Hawaii. I broke my fibula and tore an ankle ligament…read more After being seen at the emergency room I was scheduled to have surgery the next day with Dr. Cecilio for an (Open Reduction Internal Fixation) ORIF. In other words, pins and screws placed to get the bones together and restore the anatomical correctness of the joint (Ankle). I went to the hospital the next day. Dr Cecilio explained to me that he will only place a long pin (Steinman), stitch up the ligament and everything will be fine. Got through the surgery and got kicked out the same day in a cab back to my resort. I went to Dr. Cecilio's office for a post op visit a week after surgery. His office is located in the second floor. Musty old furniture, loud TV and a secretary texting is what you find. I waited a good 30 minutes and not a patient in sight. So I just waited because they probably enjoy patients waiting around. His cast room was filthy and there was nothing you can rest your leg on while being casted. Before the cast dried up his assistant came back with a bill: $6700 that she asked me to pay before leaving. I explained to her that I had insurance and that I just got off the phone with them: I don't have to pay a penny out of pocket. She insisted that I have to pay and settle it with the insurance!! I took a look at the bill and it said Insurance: $6700 / Patient: $0. That was fishy. I didn't pay him and I wish my insurance doesn't pay either for a lousy service. Flew back to boston where I am from and got an appointment at MGH with an orthopedic surgeon. Had xrays and as soon the the new doctor saw them he blushed and bit his lips very hard. I asked him what was going on and he said: NOT GOOD, YOUR BONES WERE NOT ALIGNED PROPERLY, YOU FIBULA IS HEALING WELL BUT IT'S 2 CENTIMETERS SHORTER THAN THE TIBIA AND YOU WILL HAVE A LIMP FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE AND EVENTUALLY OSTEOARTHRITIS. WE HAVE TO FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. That was the longest sentence I have ever heard in my life. Dr. Cecilio screwed the bones wrong. I went online and read all night about my case. The only treatment is to place a "plate and screws" not a Steinman pin. I got angry and the lost 3 weeks in a cast. The long nights of pain, the fact that I wasn't hospitalized for a night or two in order to control the pain, the fact that I wasn't prescribed aspirin for blood clotting prevention, ... 3 waisted weeks in a cast and having to undergo a second surgery is just wrong. Now I am all fixed up and my bones are lined up correctly. My advice, avoid Dr. Cecilio at all cost.

From my very first appointment, I felt very disrespected and invalidated. I just wanted to put an end to the excruciating pain I had been dealing with as sophomore in high school at the time. He picks and chooses who he wants to be nice to. If your pediatrician referred your child to come here for issues regarding your child's spine health, please consider other places. Shriners Children's is an awesome hospital but watch out for him because apparently he works there now too. There was no improvement every appointment I went to because he has stated he doesn't have much experience dealing with my problem (2 lumbar disc herniations that caused a compressed sciatic nerve). So glad I have found another doctor. It has been 2 years now since I last seen Dr. Izuka, I feel much more secure and comfortable knowing I can see my new doctor and not be afraid. Also, there is also something very internally wrong with the lady that guards the toys. Why lay it all out there like that and expect people, especially children, to behave a certain manner?

We've had good and bad experiences with…read moredoctors like everyone else, but I never thought I'd have the worst experience imaginable--like the one we had this afternoon. First, the receptionist was horrible. When we walked in, the first thing I heard was her complaining to another patient, saying: "Thank you for asking if you can have a toy. So many parents just take it and don't even ask." I get it--she's frustrated--but was this conversation necessary, out loud, in public? This was my first impression, and it was far from professional. Next, I was given a form to fill out on behalf of my 16-year-old son. The receptionist told me to sign where it was highlighted, so that's what I did. She then rudely pointed out: "Ah, Mom. You missed so many questions." I apologized and explained that I thought I only needed to sign in the highlighted areas, and I offered to take the form back to complete it. Instead, she loudly asked invasive questions like: "Is your son adopted?" "What school does he go to?" She even made an unnecessary comment at the end, saying: "You failed--minus points for your mom." This level of unprofessionalism was shocking. For reference, this receptionist is extremely overweight, so you'll know who I'm talking about. Finally, we met Dr. Izuka. If I thought the receptionist was bad, Dr. Izuka was worse. He walked into the room and immediately started yelling at my son. My 16-year-old plays soccer and recently injured his knee during a game. Our pediatrician recommended seeing Dr. Izuka for further assessment and possibly an MRI, as nothing was found on the initial X-ray. All Dr. Izuka did was make my son bend down and touch his toes. My son isn't very flexible and could barely reach his toes. Dr. Izuka started yelling, saying: "WHAT THE HELL? You play soccer, and that's all you can do?" I was stunned. I've never experienced such unprofessionalism in my life. This wasn't constructive criticism; it was bullying. Dr. Izuka continued berating my son the entire time. He said things like: "You go to Kamehameha School, and you don't even know the answer to that?" This had nothing to do with my son's condition, and it was completely inappropriate. I was ready to walk out of the office right then and there. Long story short, all we got out of today's visit was my son being told to stretch, along with being insulted and humiliated. Don't ever go here. This was a complete waste of time and money, and I wouldn't recommend this office to anyone.
