Example if your appointment is at 9am dont plan on being done until 11am. Well the doctor knows what he's doing. just over books and under staff the office. The wedding pictures and the ultimate dad moment of becoming a grandparent. Every one of his patients has a story. A legacy of their own. Pictures hung on a wall. Memories of time spent with their families. Each hoping to get back to their lives. Living with circumstances that brought them here to this crowded office with one Dr. one Dr. that fills a waiting room. No respect for anyone's time but to ensure his time is well paid for at days end. I hope Dr Choe gets to read this and truly hears what I'm trying to explain. 5 stars. I chose Dr. Benderev largely because of his great reviews, and after going through the…read moreprocedure myself, I completely understand why. Scheduling and preparation were incredibly easy. They covered everything so thoroughly beforehand that it was actually difficult to think of questions to ask. During the procedure, Dr. Benderev explained what was happening as he went, which I really appreciated. The actual procedure was incredibly quick--I'd estimate about 15 minutes, plus another 15 minutes or so for prep and afterward. I had a little discomfort, but no actual pain. I opted for the nitrous and would absolutely recommend it. It made an already easy experience even more comfortable. What impressed me most, though, was the follow-up. With how efficiently the office operates, you might expect to feel like patients are just being moved through, but my experience was the complete opposite. Dr. Benderev personally followed up by call/text over the subsequent days to see how I was doing. That level of personal attention really stood out. The staff was also fantastic. I had an unexpected death in the family the week of my procedure and thought I might need to reschedule. I ultimately didn't, but the staff was completely understanding and ready to work with me while I figured out my family's plans. Recovery was MUCH easier than I expected. I took Tylenol preemptively but never needed it for ongoing pain. Icing was more than enough. Three days after the procedure, I went on a family trip to Big Bear with two kids under two and was able to keep up just fine. There was some minor discomfort, but nothing I would describe as painful. (Of course, I definitely described the situation a little differently to my wife for the first two days...) For any guy putting this off because he's nervous: I kid you not, about 15 minutes and it's done. If you're deciding between this and having your wife undergo a more invasive procedure, this was far less invasive than I had imagined. With two kids under two and stairs at home, I milked the first two days with my wife, but by days 3-5 I felt basically back to normal. A couple of practical tips from my experience: get the nitrous, consider taking something before bed if you're a stomach sleeper, and have some dark-colored supportive briefs available during recovery. I had a little spotting after the third day, although I was probably doing more than I should have while on vacation. Overall, excellent experience from preparation through recovery, and Dr. Benderev's personal follow-up afterward really sets the practice apart.

On September 2nd, I suddenly experienced excruciating pain in my right lower back--pain unlike anything I had ever felt before. Since then, I have been to urgent care once and the ER three times. On September 5th, I had a CT scan at Kaiser Riverside ER, which showed a 5.3 mm right kidney stone that had moved from inside my kidney toward the area just outside the kidney. Since then, I have experienced severe pain and discomfort on and off. Honestly, I would describe the pain as worse than labor pain. I finally got an appointment with Access Urology in Riverside. Unfortunately, my first impression was not a good one. The office appeared to be very new, and the receptionists seemed unsure about some of the procedures. I provided a urine sample, and then a receptionist performed what appeared to be a brief ultrasound exam while I was standing, which made me uncomfortable. When the provider came in, I honestly wasn't sure of her name or exactly what her role was. More importantly, I didn't feel heard, understood, or cared for. I explained that I had been dealing with this for 14 days, including multiple urgent care and ER visits and significant ongoing pain. I was told that my situation was not considered an emergency. The provider said she would order a STAT CT scan and prescribe more Flomax, even though I had already explained that I had a 30-day supply. I later discovered that an antibiotic had also been sent to my pharmacy. I was told to schedule a follow-up appointment in TWO weeks. The receptionist told me the referral for the CT would be entered and that I should call the next day to schedule it. That's exactly what I did. I called RadNet myself and advocated for my care, and thankfully, I was able to get a CT appointment that same day. However, when I contacted my insurance to expedite the authorization, I was told that the urology office had submitted the CT as ROUTINE rather than STAT. I was told authorization could take 5-7 business days. I called the urology office again and asked them to resubmit the referral as STAT. Thankfully, it was approved in time for my 6:30 PM appointment, and I was able to get the CT scan done. Now I am praying that the provider will make the right decision regarding my care. It may not be considered an emergency from her perspective, but after 15 days of dealing with unbearable pain and discomfort, it certainly feels like an emergency to me. At this point, I am not happy with the patient care or the lack of urgency I have experienced. I truly hope things improve from here, and I will update this review once I know what happens with my treatment. P.S. The CT scan technician told me the radiologist would read the results tonight and that the results would be sent to my referring provider tomorrow morning. So now, I'm waiting to see what the findings are and what the next steps will be. Please keep me in your prayers. I'm praying for answers, relief, and the right treatment moving forward.

I am a fan a Doctor Phan!…read more As a 65 year old man faced the malady of an enlarged prostate and medicine was no longer an option so I had to pick a procedure, I picked the Rezume method because it had minimal or no side effects. Like most people I did a fair amount of research into picking a surgeon who had a good track record and also had done quite a few of these. Dr. Phan rose to the top because of his reviews and upon meeting him he exudes confidence and humility which is a rare combination in a physician. The procedure turned out great and you couldn't ask for a nicer more caring person than Dr Phan. His practice is what they call a concierge and for basically the price of a cup of coffee per day you get unbelievable access to him and the old adage you get what you pay for certainly applies. Two months post procedure all systems are go. I couldn't recommend him more highly. The support staff is a well oil machine and very peronable.

I had originally seen a different Urologist from Pomona who would not come to the hospital in early February to help me out when I needed it the most. Sadly, when I met with him 10 days after being in the hospital it was only a consolation. He really did not seem too concerned about the pain I had been going through off and on as he wanted me to go get another ultrasound in two weeks and then another two weeks after that come back to him to see the results and if the issue was still present, we would then schedule for surgery. If Dr. Louie had not fit me in, I would have still been waiting for my procedure if I had have stayed with this other Doctor. UCI Urologist Dr. Michael K.Louie in chino hills…read more I had real bad experience of Dr.K.Louie. I was a patient of Dr. K.Louie for for almost 2.5 yrs. He was very gentle and nice at my first visit. I had overactive bladder and incontingence . Dr.K. Louie did all kind of treatment including Urodynamics and Botox but not success after all. Finally he recommended "RESUME"technick which is the REZUM procedure destroys prostate tissue using heat energy in the form of water vapor(even though he did not have enough experience of RESUME procedure). He started RESUME procedure on 09-12-2019. and I'm still having pain and hard to urinate.I could'nt go to sleep for 3 days(not even a twinkle of eye) I 'd called office because of pain and swelling of bladder right after removed catheter and he was out of town. he even did not prescribe antibiotics and pain pill after procedure. He'd prescribed only "Urinary Pain Relief"(you can buy over the count) I went to ER for twice for bladder swelling and pain(because of dysuria). Because of his negligence I'd been suffered for many months. I was(used to be) also a healthcare provider(that's why I did'nt go to court because I know what it is for him and practice). I have to put catheter almost several months. End of that I had severe "Epididymitis"(huge swelling of scrotum) But I have to let them know and all pertinent patients to know that no other patient should be suffered like me afterward. I'm going to put this on SNS also in future.
