After seeing such great reviews online we decided to book with pick and pack. This was easily the worst, most expensive, and most frustrating move I've ever experienced. We moved out of our 2-bed, 2-bath apartment on Sunday, August 2nd. We've moved this exact same furniture multiple times over the last five years, moved that were much farther away and with multiple stops. (I'm talking two stops over 40 minutes away plus a new apartment 40 minutes away from that, walk up to walk up). This move was one apartment with a walk up to a new apartment with an elevator 20 minutes apart. lt has never cost this much or gone this badly. They estimated $1,600-$1,800 for 6-7 hours which was similar to our last moves, but the final bill came out to a whopping $2,200, $2,500 with tip. That's $500-$700 more than far more complicated moves we've done in the past. The crew moved much slower than previous movers I have experienced. They kept disappearing for 15 minutes at a time, and they actually charged us for their lunch break, which is standard, except they were gone over an hour and there was only 20 minutes of travel time. The lack of respect for our things was unbelievable. They completely cracked my antique bar cart handles and wheel, cracked one of our lamps, and my dog's crate. Worst of all, my jewelry armoire was locked prior to our move but must have been pried open because the lock is completely broken and bent now. I haven't even finished unpacking yet and I'm terrified of what else I'm going to find ruined. On top of the damage, they literally left multiple pieces of furniture behind at our old place. They claimed some pieces couldn't be moved safely, which is a total lie because previous movers handled them just fine (Again, for less money and less time EVEN PACKING THEM FOR US) . Other items they just abandoned without saying a word. (there were things we had them leave, these were things they were absolutely supposed to take). They also promised they would arrange my living room furniture they had to move due to space to back where I wanted it at the end of the day, but after taking all day, they just left without doing it. They also did an awful job putting our furniture back together creating even more work for us It is incredibly fishy how this place has so many good reviews online. Now I know why: they make you fill out a survey right before they leave, before you even have a second to look around and notice that your stuff is broken or missing. Again these piece have all been moved multiple times by different movers (all good experiences) with no damage.

Paul (owner) and College Hunks Hauling Junk were a horrible experience from start to finish…read more We booked this move two weeks in advance, so it was especially alarming when, the night before our scheduled move, Paul suddenly called me from his personal cellphone and said he had to come to our apartment that night for us to sign a quote, claiming he could not send it via email. This immediately felt odd and unnecessary. He came over late in the evening, which made the situation even more uncomfortable, and he gave off extremely creepy vibes. I do not recommend this company if you are a woman and would be alone with this man in your home. While there, he pushed me toward choosing the cheapest option for him, the one dollar per pound replacement coverage, which barely covers anything if items are damaged. I initially signed a different option, and he told me to cross it out and re sign where he told me to. This was a huge red flag. The next day, we had to sign the same contract again with the actual movers. I still do not understand why Paul needed to come over the night before, especially considering the move had been booked well in advance. It felt unnecessary and unsettling. After evaluating our apartment, Paul selected the truck size himself. He chose one that was too small and then blamed the issue on our street being too narrow, despite previously saying a truck would fit if neighbors moved their cars, which we did. Because of his poor planning, not all of our belongings fit, and we were forced to rent a U Haul on top of everything else. To make matters worse, the movers broke a glass door pane. When I raised the issue, Paul lied and claimed we asked for two hundred dollars off the bill, which is completely false. My only request was to speak with our landlord to coordinate replacement of the broken glass. Overall, this felt like a scheme rather than a professional moving service. Between the unnecessary late night visit, the pressure to sign specific paperwork, the poor planning, and the dishonesty afterward, this experience was stressful and uncomfortable. Buyer beware. P.S. He repeatedly bragged about being on a radio station once and mentioned his dad being a contractor at one point. It was uncomfortable.

I booked a full truckload to be on the safe side. The Hunks who arrived said I'd only be charged for a half truck if that's all I used. What a nice surprise! I did end up using the entire truck, but still. I appreciated their flexibility. They donate meals to hungry families with every job booked, and also donate to organizations who could use furniture. It's not often you find such a conscientious organization. Highly recommend!

We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense

I finally got a job in NYC, so I had to move to Jersey City. Being new to the area, I didn't have any idea of the movers in the Philly area. After doing some checking on yelp and google reviews, I came across Albo moving. Their reviews were really good, and they were close to my parent's house where I was living at the time. I reached out via cell and Alex responded the same day asking for more info. I texted it all to him. The next day he emailed me a quote and laid out all the info. The pricing was very fair, and based on his quick response time and great reviews, I decided to hire them. I am very glad that I did. My move went extremely well. I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. Then we went to my parents for a few more things, we were out of there in under an hour. They drove to Jersey City and then had the entire truck unpacked and moved in and all the packing material cleaned up in 3 hours. It was an extremely hot day and the guys worked really hard and very quickly. I could not be more grateful to Alex and his team for the excellent job, and I would definitely hire them again for my next move. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for hard working, honest, reliable and dependable movers

When they came, one of the guys spent close to a half hour in my bathroom. Several times I had to ask if he was alright. Apparently, he was. Then when they were almost loaded, I was told that they couldn't get everything on the truck. I was devastated! Then they told me I needed to pay $1379.00 to get my stuff delivered. I had to fill out a bunch of paperwork on my small phone, which I was unable to read, to be able to pay this with a credit card. It took one of the movers around 45 minutes to do this instead of moving. Then the movers left, and my son was at the new house, and it took them over 35 minutes to get to my new house, which was 20 miles away. Then they charged me again for more time without my consent. As they started to unload my stuff, there was another charge on my credit card without my consent. This happened while I was still at the old house. Then I received a call that they were going to have to charge me more. I threatened to turn them into the Attorney General, and they then said they would be done in 10 minutes, and they were. They wanted me to do a second load at an additional $1300. My son and I had to rent a U-Haul to finish the job. They ended up charging me almost $1700.00 when I was quoted $939. Just a note here: once they have loaded everything, they refuse to deliver until you pay what they want. Also, they moved my freezer and left the food. Everything was basically thrown everywhere. I spent major time labeling/organizing everything so they would know exactly where to put it all for nothing because they said they didn't have time. I had several items broken. If you want your stuff held as a hostage until you pay, knowing you will be charged way more than quoted, then hire these people; otherwise, stay as far away as you can. One other thing is that they changed the arrival time three times. Finally, the day before the move, they gave me a three-hour window. The driver did actually call about an hour before they got there. The dispatcher tried to bill me for an additional hour that they were not there.

But on move-out day, the price suddenly jumped by $3,000, and Matt stopped answering. Completely untrustworthy. Avoid at all costs.

After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with. This was hands down the easiest move I've ever had. If you are debating which moving company to use, this is your sign. Go with them.

A staff member from Hercules Moving stopped by the day after I called, to do a walk-thru of my home and issue an accurate estimate. I was confident that an UNDERestimation was out of the question; last thing I'd want to deal with on my moving day would be handling double the moving costs because someone made a "Whoopsie!" Approximately 10am, a 26' moving truck rolls into my driveway and a crew of four gentleman (with a great attitude!) introduce themselves; Louis, Fernando, John and Guy#4 (Can't-remember-his-name). We do a quick walk-thru, I point out what stays, what go's and they take off! Three-and-a-half hours later, my whole house/garage is packed. Televisions/Mirrors/Glass furniture has been carefully wrapped in blankets. Outstanding items have been combined in boxed (that Hercules provided). Beds, tables and sofas have all been dismantled. We're walking the house to double-check their impeccable work, and PRESTO! Off to Brooklyn! When we got to the new place, one guy had jumped ship on the way, so the crew was down to Louis, Fernando and John. Those three guys worked such impeccable magic!! We bought the crew pizza/soda for lunch (Please! Do this for your moving crew!!!) and they took the shortest break to choke down a couple slices, then back at it. I can't thank Hercules Moving.... specifically Louis, Fernando and John ENOUGH!! My new place is an old 1800's brownstone; walk-up, narrow staircase, narrow doorways - NOT EASY!
