My mother purchased her burial plot and later began paying for pre-arranged services. However, the details of what was included were never clearly explained. When it came time to complete payment, we encountered significant confusion because the original information provided about the payment plan was inaccurate. Years later, we were contacted and informed that an additional $6,000 was required for the opening and closing of the burial plot--an expense that had not been clearly disclosed at the time of purchase. It appears that additional charges continue to surface over time for services we believed were already covered. Overall, the process has lacked transparency and has created unnecessary financial and emotional stress. This experience reflects poorly on the business practices involved, as it feels as though the focus has been on generating additional charges rather than providing clear and honest service. I need a response I will go ahead and file a complaint if needed and report misleading or deceptive practices to the California Cemetery and Funeral Bureau or the Better Business Bureau or will Consider legal review.

I didn't know who to call, I had not done any pre-planning and needed to make funeral arrangements. My daughter ran a search on Google and started looking for services in Redlands. After having a terrible experience on the first call, I noticed Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel had all 5-star reviews. Their prices were readily available online and after reading their reviews we called them. We were immediately put at ease by the person who answered and agreed that they would oversee all the arrangements. We met with Christian, their Funeral Director the following morning. He was extremely empathetic, caring, and professional. He took the time to listen to us, offered sympathy and asked questions about my son to help us make decisions about his arrangements, memorial service, flowers, and reception. Christian was very thorough, clearly explained costs, and offered resources for vendors we might want or need. Christian made the arrangements to have my son picked up from the hospital and taken to the chapel. We were given the opportunity to see him prior to cremation, without all the equipment he was attached to at the hospital, when he passed. It brought us immense comfort and closure to see him at rest. Christian helped us with the programs, prayer cards, the memorial service, setting up the video, and rental of tables and chairs for the reception. I have worked in Customer Service for over 20 years, and Christian embodies everything that you would look for in excellent service. FIVE STARS is not enough, I highly recommend Emmerson-Bartlett. My family plans to return to do some pre-planning for future needs. During our time in meeting with Christian, my family was also introduced to Reyna. He explained she was in training and shadowing him. We were touched by Reyna's sympathy, helpfulness, and willingness to make our experience and loss lighter. I cannot say enough about the people, their service and location, which was spotless and accommodating. I greatly appreciate the comfort they provided at such a difficult time.

I paid my balance, I feel this was a fair price. cremation and chapel, video, pamphlets, urn and three flower arrangements. However, with a cremation I had several flowers. I wish the setup were more like Moncito park in Loma Linda, where the picture is abouve the urn. Place was clean. I however felt rushed after my hour was up, I literally felt like my group had to totally be out of chapel by 1201. I was under the impression we could be in chapel at least in till 1220. I feel mt view is more casual than the other properties. Example the way they team members speak and even dress. Even rushed to sign my paperwork to get the death certificate and release of the urn. They got in contact with Riverside Cemetery and set up a date and time and honors for my father as well. This was great. I appreciate that.
