Communication with the guy in charge from the office was terrible. He never returns calls in a timely manner, have to call numerous times for him to finally return a call. I have contracted with several other restoration companies in the area and Accord is the only one I have ever had problems with. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company. They don't seem to realize or care that people will actually give them bad reviews for bad service. Which is exactly what they did. In May of 2017 I had a water leak in my kitchen from my dishwasher damaging my kitchen floor. Accord was assigned by my insurance company and I said fine.., no problem. Joe Lapano the contract manager seemed nice enough at first. On the day they tore up the kitchen flooring to replace it... imagine my surprise when I came home to find not only my kitchen floor gone but the foyer flooring gone as well!! When I called Joe he said ... " sorry for the mistake"..... very nonchalantly like almost nothing had happened! How does my kitchen floor translate to the flooring in my foyer? Pretty big "mistake." I happened to really like the hardwood flooring in my foyer and bathroom which all matched. When I pointed this out to Joe he then said all flooring would be replaced which it eventually was. Then there was damage to baseboards and paint which I had to have Joe come look at and have repaired. But to top it all off they scratched a dining room side table door panel moving furniture. I pointed this out and they took it to be fixed. Well five months went by with hardly a word from Joe unless I emailed him. Emails frequently went unanswered and he was never in when I called. Finally he answered back and stated he had received it back but wasn't happy with it so back it went to be fixed again. A few more months went by... more emails and calls. Finally Joe said he had the door back. When it was finally back it was noticeably lighter than the other door panels on the side table. I texted Joe a picture and he agreed this was the case. So for the first time in this ongoing year long saga I asked for his Boss's name. His boss Craig also took his time in responding. When I finally spoke with him on the phone he was extremely rude and defensive. I told him anyone else in my position would have contacted him ages ago and raised the roof over all that had gone on. He refused to give me a name of anyone he answered to stating he was the Vice President or CEO of the company.... I don't remember which. He made me tell him " my side of the story." What does that mean? My side? I'm the customer! Long story short.... he absolutely refused to reimburse me for the cost of the table. His solution was to take the door again to try and fix it which I absolutely declined. He did concede to my not paying the 500.00 deductible on my insurance.... which is something.... but doesn't cover the cost of my table which is a matching set to my dining room table. I have read other reviews on here in the same vein as my experience. My real issue with this company is the excuses, lack of communication and professionalism and lack of respect for the customers they are serving. If I could give this company a minus star review I certainly would. Stay away from Accord! read more

The General Contractor's name is Joe Lepano. When he came to my house he was pleasant enough but spoke very quickly and brushed over details. Stating that they would make things work, but leaving me without knowing how things would work or WHO was doing WHAT work. A contract was sent to my email and there were no start dates. late fees and insurance (among other issues ) were not ever discussed so I didn't sign the contract and simply asked questions. Joe Lepano wrote a very lengthy response to me answering the questions but by the time he got to the end of the email he had upset himself and withdrew the contract. Really? I called the company and they spoke to him and then responded to me that he would be calling me. He never did. Joe Lepano cost Accord an $8,000.00 job and no one there seemed to even care. Wow I ended up being my own contractor and saved a ton of money!!! Accord may have received awards but they were rude and unprofessional to the simple housewife in Hershey. Dealing with Joe Lepano was like dealing with a pouty child who didn't get his way. If you choose to work with him...GOOD LUCK! read more

Where to begin? My experience with Accord Restoration was a complete disaster from the start. I have stage-four cancer, which means I am not in a position to have to handle the soot damage in my home. Both my insurance company, Nationwide, and Accord were well aware of this prior to beginning this project. Around Thanksgiving 2016, Accord's "skilled" clean team" gave me two estimates: one for cleaning and one for restoration. I signed a contract and the project commenced. Things went smoothly in the beginning. But as December moved along, I began having issues with what Accord was doing. It started out as damage to my personal property, like breaking my living-room vertical blinds. I observed other aspects of the restoration project didn't seem right. The cleaning took place during the holiday season, so between the crew taking personal days and "got called away to other jobs," they were at my house for the entire month. The restoration also entailed removing wallpaper from four small rooms. Not only did they not fulfill this part, but they also left half of the wallpaper up, going so far as to cover up what they didn't remove with primer! At this point, I told Travis, my Accord contact, that I didn't want any further destruction done to my home until I got a firm understanding and commitment on how exactly Accord would proceed. But, he took it upon himself to commence a task they knew they were ill-equipped to perform when he instructed his co-worker, Eric, to begin taking down the wallpaper without my authorization. I still hadn't received a solid commitment like id asked, yet Travis requested for additional funds several times due to the unexpected labor involved in the wallpapering process. When I saw the wallpaper-removal mess that Eric began in the bathroom and expressed my concern to both him and Travis, they assured me this would all be cleaned up. In addition to breaking household fixtures and the wallpaper fiasco, the Clean Team took out all of the ceiling tiles in the family room/den and left it that way--exposed wires and all. I had also requested new carpeting for my bedroom, which Travis installed. Unfortunately, he didn't go with the carpet I selected. At this point, the Harrisburg, PA, office began leaving messages on my home phone and sending me invoices with differing amounts due. When I tried to resolve the matter and explain the poor work quality, nobody at Accord seemed to know anything about the project at my house. I eventually had a conference call set up with the company vice president (after he threatened me multiple times with a lawsuit for nonpayment of services), only to be told by his assistant that he was "called out of the office on a personal matter." It has been more than a year since this unfortunate choice of company made my house go from bad to worse. I'm not sure what Accord's hiring standards are or how they train their Clean Team representatives, but one look at the wreckage of my house reminds one of the scene on the movie "The Money Pit." Today, I am left with a house that was in worse shape than before. I implore anyone reading this to avoid using Accord Restoration for any residential/business clean-up. read more

I recently had water damage and my insurance company recommended Accord Restoration. I was contacted by Curt Plewa and he came to my home to assess the damage. The first thing that had to be done was to dry out the area; Curt promptly had his team come and remove the damaged drywall and flooring and had fans left to dry out the area. Once the area was dry he came to to take measurements; he left us with the paint and flooring samples. Curt was wonderful to work with; he dealt with my insurance company directly to be sure they had everything they needed. We received the approval to have the work done. Curt came with the contract to be signed, explained everything in detail. Than the fun began. I wish I could remember all of the names of the people who were here, everyone of them was great. They were very careful with our stuff, not one thing was damaged. Jeff was here the most, he did the painting and many other things. He did a beautiful job in all 3 areas he worked on. He cleaned up when he was finished everyday. It can be a challenge to be here when this kind of work is being done but these guys made it a little easier for us. They made sure our TV was hooked up before they left....for me it was the little things that were done that made this a great experience. I must have asked a million questions and Jeff was so kind when he had to explain everything. He made a few suggestions on things that needed to be done, we would discuss them and I trusted him to do the work. He seemed to really care about us, he aimed to please us. He did quality work! All of the guys that were here did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend Accord to anyone. Curt had to come over after the job was completed to drop something off, I told him he had to come in see how everything looked. He said he doesn't usually get to see the work once everything has been finished and decorated. He agreed it was beautiful and asked if he could take a few pictures. Of course I said yes, I also told him if he ever had anyone who wanted to see the work they did, I would be thrilled to let them see our house. I am so happy with Accord Restoration. The most important thing to me is customer service and you are the best. Working with you was wonderful, I am truly blessed to have had your company here!
