We also liked that we didn't have to park and carry a box of potentially valuable jewelry downtown--the trip to Lake Oswego was worth it for that reason alone. He was terrific! We met him as a group and used his "triage" service, and he swiftly went through a multi-generational jewelry collection and tested and separated pieces that had significant potential value or simply contained gold that could be melted down. As he was going through everything we brought, he educated us about gemstones, how the jewelry and auction industry works, how to maximize value when selling and his connections/resources for selling items and more--he was a wealth of information. It was obvious that he was a total professional who's been doing this for a long time. Plus, he was a really nice guy! He also took care of getting the gold pieces we didn't plan to auction or sell melted down and gave us a very favorable commission rate compared to what we would've gotten from a jewelry store or other company that liquidates gold. We had a check in less than a week after seeing him. Highly recommend him!

Not all of it was gold, jewelry from my mom. Went in and I swear 15 min later it was tested, weighed and I walked out with a check that could pay for a cruise. Gary is knowledgeable, meticulous with his records, honest, truthful, very, very competent and has an outstanding staff. To even claim he, or any estate dealer, would destroy a customer's items and throw them away shows no knowledge of the business and probably a dependence on --- what?? He was quick to respond to both emails and phone calls during the lead up, and he spent a substantial amount of time viewing the house and answering our questions. (We had more than a few.) The report we received was very thorough and his conclusions were well justified and accurate. He treated us with respect, and conducted himself with the utmost professionalism when he was on site and after the report was delivered when we had more questions. I would definitely recommend them, and fully expect to use them again if we need appraisal services.

Given the age of the truck, there were no comparisons on car lots as the insurance company requested. Nico totally took care of all the legal stuff. He knows multiple insurance claim adjusters. He texted me this morning that he got $15,000 for the truck but said he would try to get more! End of the day, ended up with a payout of $17,206.50. Of course State Farm took deductible, $400 for their appraiser and storage fees! Nico's fee was a flat $550, not a percentage of the value! He told me if he didn't get more than the proposed insurance payout, I would get the fee back!!! very pleased customer!!

They also were selling a new Rolex to a customer and they had a large selection of vintage mechanical and battery powered watches for men and women, plus a small selection of pocket watches. If you are buying a vintage watch person-to-person, I would bring it here with the seller and pay for it to be inspected, there are fakes in the wild, sadly. The business is in a vintage house, and there is a seating area in the entry way to sit and chill, or you can go across the street to the ice cream store they mentioned to families there with their children. Watches make great gifts and this is a good spot to see some options. Recommended for all your non-smart watch needs!

I bought them a way-cool STAINLESS STEEL growler from Base Camp Brewing. I then took it here to have it engraved. They asked me when I needed it by and I said Monday (Christmas Eve) by the latest. They said they were about to close down for the next 4 days but they should have it done in an hour or two before they closed. 45 minutes later I got a call saying it was done. The quality was stunning, they used the exact same font that Base Camp uses and the finish was insane. I'm guessing they use LASERS or something? (I'm not kidding, I really think they do) Everyone that works here was also exceedingly nice, I will be back!
