As he was going through everything we brought, he educated us about gemstones, how the jewelry and auction industry works, how to maximize value when selling and his connections/resources for selling items and more--he was a wealth of information. It was obvious that he was a total professional who's been doing this for a long time. Plus, he was a really nice guy! He also took care of getting the gold pieces we didn't plan to auction or sell melted down and gave us a very favorable commission rate compared to what we would've gotten from a jewelry store or other company that liquidates gold. While we were at it, we decided to finally get the diamond reset with six prongs instead of the four it had originally (I'd knocked the diamond out once and was close to doing it again). We brought the ring to Accurate Gem Labs and Teresa remembered that she'd actually appraised it for us back in 2006! She didn't remember this by looking us up in her computer, but because I walked into her work space. Who remembers something that happened 13 years ago just by seeing someone's face? Because we were return customers, she gave us a great deal on the appraisal as well as the work the jeweler performed to make my ring more stable and beautiful, and they polished and cleaned my wedding band for free while I waited. Teresa also threw in a cleaning kit and cleaning cloth! That is some customer service. Teresa is extremely professional, kind and friendly, and I highly recommend bringing your jewelry to her. I trust her with my irreplaceable family heirloom, and will definitely bring my jewelry to her in the future.
