DO NOT work with them. Inspector recommended this place when my toilet leaked. They fixed the leak but then afterwards, the toilet never stopped trying to fill the bowl. Called them back to fix it and apparently the fill valve is now broken and it wasn't their fault; claiming they do this all day and there's no way the new broken part was because of them even though it wasn't broken before they touched my toilet. Then said they were going to give a discount to fix the toilet. THAT THEY BROKE. Now I have to get my toilet fixed AGAIN but finding someone else. read more

I have an old house that sadly has lots of issues. I had two breaks in my main water drain line and another in my sewer line. I needed over 80ft sleeved. Tony and his crew was amazing! The only thing they are accurate about is draining your wallet. The DWP alerted us to a massive leak somewhere on our property. This company had us hire a company to tear up our front yard and concrete patio deck saying that a geyser of water would reveal itself...and no leak was found. They replaced our copper pipe with a cheap plastic one and said the problem was solved. But it wasn't-- the DWP confirmed we still have a massive leak. Accurate refused to admit they missed the leak-- and were quite hostile about it-- and refused to refund us the 7K payment. So now we are paying someone else to find the leak. Accurate Leak Locators is anything but accurate leak locators. If I could give them a negative five-star rating on Yelp, I would. I have a leak under the slab of my house. My insurance company claims adjuster had Accurate Leak Locators come in to pinpoint the source of the leak on August 22, 2014. The guys that showed up were nice enough, but they didn't pinpoint the leak at all. They spent over an hour checking the area where I originally heard the leak and ended up putting some tape on several walls marked with "Cut and Test Here". After taking a bunch of pictures, they said they were done. When they left, I was no closer to knowing where the leak was than before they arrived. I called the company office to complain and was given the runaround by the person that answered the phone. I told her that the ONLY thing I expected her company to do was to pinpoint the leak and they didn't even get close. She started rambling on about "we have to test for asbestos" and I said "thanks very much" and just hung up. My regular plumber came by the same day and told me these guys didn't do anything useful. He told me that they should be able to pinpoint the leak within a radius of 12 inches or so. He had me call in another company, GOLDAK, Inc. These guys actually make the equipment used to find the leaks. It was a whole different experience! The guy from Goldak pinpointed the leak under the slab very precisely. He used compressed CO2 gas injected into the water lines and listened with a microphone attached to headphones. He located and labeled with masking tape EVERY water line to and from that area. He was very good. My opinion of Accurate Leak Locators is that they are in the practice of running up big bills and stringing out their customers. It was a complete waste of time calling out Accurate Leak Locators and I told my insurance company that they should remove these people from their list of approved plumbing contractors. P.S. "Becky" from Accurate Leak Locators has added a comment to my review which further underscores how little they actually care or listen to their customers. I spoke directly with the claims adjuster that hired them to locate the leak in my home. He expected them to mark the exact location of leak ... which was my expectation as well. Becky didn't even get my gender correct in her comment, so that should tell you how much she really knows about the situation here. read more

Our homeowner's insurance company sent Accurate Leak Locators to our home to install a small temporary electric water heater. (Our water heater was temporarily removed due to repairs needed in its closet.) They were unwilling to have it connected out on the porch, where our regular water heater's closet is. Apparently they were afraid someone would steal it. So, they put it in the middle of our only bathroom, attached under the sink. After they hooked it up, the two guys were saying things to each other like, "I don't hear anything-- I thought it would make a sound when it came on. Are you sure it's on? I think so..." Inspires confidence, eh? Only 3 days after it was installed, the temp water heater (which barely, pathetically, warmed the water to begin with, by the way) suddenly sprang a major leak and quickly flooded a portion of our flooring, including the entire hallway and part of the bedroom. I ran out and turned off the water to our unit, then had to use every towel we owned to sop up the water! I didn't have A.L.L.'s number, so in a panic to get the flood dealt with I called a contractor we had worked with before, who immediately came over to stop the leak by uninstalling the defective equipment and then removed the soaked flooring. (When my husband, who had their number, got home, he called A.L.L. to pick up the equipment.) I was expecting A.L.L. to at least cover this new claim's deductible, if not in fact compensate us for the damage for which they were responsible. However, the insurance guy informed us that because we didn't have A.L.L. remove the water heater, but had brought our contractor in to deal with it, A.L.L. would not take any responsibility for the damage, as they "couldn't be sure what had caused the leak". It's not a big mystery, guys; you brought the thing in, it failed almost immediately. We never touched it. But I guess you think we're lying, and that we did something to it to cause it to fail, huh? Even the word of the reputable contractor who cleaned up your mess isn't sufficient, apparently. That is the last time I let an insurance company dictate what company will do work on our property, if I can help it. Well, they lived up to their name, I guess; they accurately located a leak in our bathroom.... by causing it (and several thousands of dollars worth of damage). After this experience, we wouldn't trust Accurate Leak Locators to install a garden hose. read more

INACCURATE: I'm not sure why they are called accurate! My insurance company had them come to my house because a pipe was leaking from my upstairs shower down into the garage. They were here for 15 minutes and said the same thing known and what I told them. They labeled a wall to cut. MISLEADING: For repair after the wall was open they wanted a credit card to "hold the appointment." I asked how much for the repair. 250-450 was the quote. They arrived and it was $850. I refused but they charged my card $125 for a house call! Outrageous! Who would agree to that?! RIPPED OFF! I've been dealing with this company for close to two months and spent nearly $3000 to determine the full extent of repairs that need to be completed. They are now pushing me off on a so-called subcontractor that I was never made aware of during all the work performed and telling me they're not going to complete repairs for me. The owner, Tony, personally called to promise me he would complete the work last week and then had his office call to cancel our appointment for Saturday and that they will not proceed. AVOID this company. Dishonest and sneaky. Misrepresented their services, wasted my time and money, and charged my credit card without my authorization. I spoke to a lady over the phone telling her that rain was coming in through the stucco wall and had damaged my wood flooring. The lady proceeded to schedule an appointment and said they needed a credit card to secure it. The day before my appointment, they called to reschedule me because of a plumbing emergency so the needing a credit card to secure a day/time was just an excuse to get my card number, as you will see below. Two men came and I showed them the corner where the water had come in after the heavy rains that occurred months before. They listened and nodded as I explained how I needed their help doing a water test. I thought this would mean opening up the dry wall and spraying water from the outside in an orderly fashion to see how it's coming in. Instead, they walked around my unit and tested the water line. They turned on the shower on the 2nd floor which is nowhere near the area of the water intrusion. They eventually told me everything looked fine and that the damage is due to rain. Duh. When I pressed for a more ACCURATE explanation they said possibly from the window. I asked if they can confirm this by spraying water, opening the wall, etc. and they told me that they do not investigate anything related to rain water. This is an important detail that they just forgot to mention? I was very clear upfront that it was due to rain. They had two chances to walk away, either over the phone or when they first arrived. Clearly they cared more about collecting their $275 service fee than whether or not they were the right people for the job. I wrote on the work order "to be discussed" in the signature area, the two men angrily left, and then the next day I saw that they charged my credit card without my consent. My worst experience and I paid dearly for it. Please don't make the same mistake. Go elsewhere for help even if you have a plumbing issue. They are a dishonest company and don't deserve anyone's business. read more

The guys came out and heard me out, which I know can be hard to do when customers do there own research and think they are experts. So we found out that we had a slab leak in our new home. I was able to get my insurance to send out a plumber. They sent Accurate Leak. Jeremy and his team came out the first day. And were able to investigate the leak and fully determine where and what could be down without cutting into the concrete. The work was going to be to much for the time that was left in the day. Jeremy was upfront and knowledgeable about what he could do and what may change within the scope of the repair when they actually dig into the concrete. With the help of the front office I was able to get an appointment for them to come out the next morning. Jeremy and his team was there on time and was able to get straight to work since my insurance had already approved it. They were able to reroute and fix the pipe. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! This company saved me so much time and saved me from getting ripped off over $5,000 from a corrupt/incompetent plumbing company! I had a plumbing company sent by my home warranty come and diagnose the cause of a leak in my house. The plumber diagnosed a slab leak using a pressurized test. This company was a NIGHTMARE to deal with. First, I required me to first get an asbestos test before any estimates can be made to fix it (that's fine, I don't want anyone's health in jeopardy. I shelled out the $550 for a professional test, it came back positive in the joint compound). Next, I had to have an asbestos abatement company remove my drywall so they can test the manifold before they could even write up an estimate - then after its tested and they figured out how to reroute it, I would have to have more drywall abated to reroute the line. This would be over $5k just to open the walls! I might as well repipe my house for that. I asked the owner/manager Elena if they can do sound detection (because I've seen it before) and she literally told me "there is no magic sound equipment that allows us to hear water running in the ground." Clearly, she thought I was stupid! After some arguing back and fourth, I decided to call AAA for help. Mind you, by this point - I'd been living in my house for a week with no water (because we kept it off unless we needed it) and the water damage had expanded from the entry way now into the kitchen/dining area, living room and hallway. AAA sent out Accurate Leak Locators to basically confirm the "slab leak". Oscar and Roy were dispatched to help and let me tell you a couple things about my SUBURB experience with them: FIRST: they were extremely professional. They arrived right on time and were very patient with me as I tried to explain everything going on in my layman's terms. SECOND: they explained everything they were going to do before they did it, and explained why it needed to be done. I appreciated this because as a homeowner, we are destined to run into issues like this again sooner or later - and now I have first hand experience to make sure it's done right the first time next time. THIRD: they got right to work and let me tell you - they knew EXACTLY what they were doing! These two gentlemen were clearly extremely knowledgeable and didn't waste a second. BTW we had a great LOL moment when they pulled out that 'magic sound equipment' the other company swore didn't exist!! HAHA FOURTH: they accomplished what the other company couldn't and accurately diagnosed the issue - which wasn't a slab leak at all. Turns out the plumber from the other company didn't isolate the domestic line. He took the pressure reading from the wrong water valve/outlet (whatever they are called). The pressure dropped because I have a sprinkler leak and the source of the water leak in my home was actually my AC unit. Oscar and Roy pulled me aside and showed me everything and why the plumber was incorrect and how it should be done. FIFTH: They didn't just leave it at that! These guys went above and beyond and even helped give me some advice on the next steps I need to take to get my AC fixed! I am so beyond grateful for these gentlemen for all of their knowledge, professionalism and kindness. To make things even better, I emailed the company "info" website on the business card to let the company know what a great job Oscar and Roy did. Well, the next morning I got a personal call from the owner himself thanking me for the positive feedback. Although they came out the same day, they required my credit card and $275 prepayment before agreeing to schedule the appointment . Mike and his partner arrived promptly on a Friday afternoon, spent 25 minutes detecting location of slab leak, and said a report and estimate would be sent asap. I called their office on Monday morning for the report, and they emailed it within 15 minutes. I was disappointed in the quality of their $275 report as it didn't provide more specific details than "there is a leak in the hot line. This is under the tile flooring of the laundry room / hallway area. Due to this leak being under tile flooring we recommend to reroute the line. Reroute estimate of line $2200.00 for 3/4" line approx 30'. Until the leak is isolated we cannot confirm the path or exact cost of the reroute " I initially called them because the hallway tile floor was hot, so they didn't really offer much more info for the 25 minutes work and $275. A day later I saw an ad from another company with $99 leak detection. Looks like Accurate Leak Locator services are overpriced and the $275 can't be credited against cost of their repairs. read more

I have Auto Club for insurance. Had a small crack in a 4 inch elbow pipe running under a toilet on the second floor. Auto Club sent out Accurate Leak to inspect, then I agreed to have them do the repair. They showed up to the house as scheduled and suddenly the charges were completely different. Much higher than originally planned. I called their office, but they were simply rude (too much work I guess). I told the supervisor I would let them do the work if $$'s were as originally quoted, but they would have none of that. In the end, I asked them to leave. They quickly found the leak in the wall, opened it up, cut out the leaking section, and spliced in a new section of copper pipe. I found them to be quick, efficient, polite, and professional. They accept credit cards, but since that would have necessitated them calling in the authorization, I paid by check. (The leak repair was not covered by insurance, only the damage repair). My only disappointment was that they could not repair the adjacent (long-standing) drain leak, since they had another call to attend to. read more
