They also digitized old photos I brought in with incredible speed for the funeral and took care of placing the photos with kindness and thoughtfulness into the albums. TL;DR - They sold me a faulty disposable camera and gave me a partial refund of $5 out of $41 (for only 2 "clear" images out of 27). I've been coming here for years and had no issue. This time around, I purchased a disposable camera for $20 and had the images developed for $21--$41 in total. I was very excited to receive these images since the purpose was to capture my birthday. Out of 27 images, only 4 were developed (2 are barely noticeable and the other 2 is me and my friends) and everything else was underdeveloped. We've been using your disposable cameras for years and haven't had an issue. When I requested a full refund since the camera was faulty (the girl at the counter confirmed it), they said they can only give me $5. So you can sell faulty disposable cameras, charge people to develop only "4" images and don't even give them at least half a refund? You're eager to take people's money but don't want to refund them when something on your end is wrong. This is the worst customer service you guys ever showed me and I'll never be back. read more

The best film processing shop in NYC! I've been frequenting this family owned shop since 2021, both for buying film and getting it processed and scanned. It's probably the only place I've ever been to (CA or NY) that is truly a one hour photo shop, and at their busiest I've still gotten my scans by the end of that day. The prices are pretty standard for the base rates you'll find anywhere else (and those places have a rush fee for same day processing, otherwise they have a 48hr to 7 day turnaround). Terrible customer service, and should be zero stars! I requested to print a digital photo image for a 20" x 30" frame for my daughter. Okay, my request had obvious technical limitations due to image size (input) versus the size and quality of the print (output). I was clear in what I wanted to accomplish and was willing to pay a premium. The worker told me why she could not assist and offered *no* potential solutions. I wanted to support a family business and be able to point out the shop to my daughter where I got her gift but decided that I'm going to a more extensive shop that offers solutions and likely will charge less with quicker turnaround. read more

This is by far the best photo developing store I have ever been to (and probably the only one I will go to). The owners are very polite and after awhile start to recognize you and get so happy to see your return. I will normally bring my film around 11:00AM and they will be in my inbox between 1:00-2:00PM. Without a doubt, one of the shops I will miss the most while businesses are closed in NYC. I have been coming to Accurate Photo to get my film developed and scanned for years. I also pickup new rolls of film here. They have the best prices I've found yet and email 35mm color scans same-day. I've never had issues with my film here (while I've found other labs have accidentally left light leaks on my film, or burned through a frame with drying clamps on occasion). The couple that runs this shop are the absolute sweetest and I look forward to seeing them again very soon. I'm writing this review as I'm sitting here waiting for my photos. This place has been around for ages. They used to be on 5th avenue in park slope on a different street and they have recently moved to this location which is on 18th street between 5th and 6th avenue. I have been coming to this photo shop since I was a little girl. I'm so happy they decided to stay in the neighborhood it's hard to find a mom and pop photo shop like this one. The owners always are super nice and remember who you are even after one visit and they have every service you can think of. Lately I have been emailing them photos from my phone for them to print and they come out lovely. You can also get framing done here. Review based only on passport photo. They really need to read up on US passport photo guidelines. The woman refused to let me smile, even a smile without teeth, even though US passports allow for citizens to have a natural expression, which means they can have a natural smile. My passport photo taken 9 years ago I smiled and showed teeth and it was accepted without issue. My photo here came out terrible because I look like a serial killer with a sad expression on my face. If I'm paying for this photo, shouldn't I be allowed to smile if I want to... I think I would have had better luck getting a photo taken at CVS. read more

I'm a photographer and this is my new everything shop. Just got a 12x16 digital print and love it. The owners are a very sweet couple who have been in the business forever. Their son owns the pharmacy on the corner. There was a color issue with my print and they went out of their way to fix it and make sure I was satisfied. Can't get that with an online print shop. Planning to bring them my 35mm film to develop as well after having 3 rolls destroyed by Costco (never ever take your film to Costco!). Oh, they also sell film and frames. I love this tiny shop!
