By Sat at 11, the microwave had arrived, was installed, and the job finished! The installers were efficient and delightful to deal with! In my long life I have NEVER had such a seamless purchasing experience, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! We first met with the owner, Jim, in…read moreNovember last year with the intent of just getting a price and ultimately hired them to begin work in December to be completed by Christmas. The thing I remember most about that first meeting was the personalized board they had up welcoming me and my spouse (Mr. and Mrs. D) - a really nice touch, albeit slightly incorrect as I was there with my husband, and when we went back to pick out selections they had updated it to be somewhat more accurate (The D. Family). Jim, the owner, was straightforward when we spoke with him and offered a competitive price compared to the other estimates we received. After we accepted the contract, Jim's sister and the company designer, Kim, was particularly patient with us as we spent upwards of two hours picking out the various components for the new bathroom, successfully finding solutions to mediate style disagreements between me and my husband. Overall, we were both very happy with our selections and excited for the new bathroom to be complete. The workers were excellent and displayed great professionalism during the remodel. The work began in early December, but was stalled a little bit due to the cabinet and vanity not arriving in time. The bathroom was functional, though not finished, before the desired Christmas date. It has been three weeks since the job completed and we have been satisfied so far with the bathroom. With the work, there were two (both immediately fixed) problems that stood out: First, the new toilet was installed slightly at an angle. We emailed Cardigan of the problem. When they came out the next time to continue working on the bathroom, the worker immediately saw the toilet was not level, apologized that he didn't catch it when he installed it, and made the toilet level to the floor. Second, when we started using the shower a week after installation, the shower was draining extremely slowly. Again, I emailed and called regarding this issue, and they fixed it that day despite Jim attending a funeral that morning. One of the workers came by that evening with a snake and fixed the problem. I was extremely impressed at their responsiveness. Overall, I am giving five stars due to the personalization, work quality, responsiveness, professionalism of the workers, and our happiness with the final result. When we finally move on to remodeling our kitchen in a few years, we will definitely be looking at Cardigan. The attached pictures include a picture of the shower before the bathroom was painted, and a picture of the other side of the bathroom after all of the work was completed.

I loved his authentic no BS demeanor. I'm not stuck-up & can take a no-BS kind of person. Since that time Jim has been back to rescue me for washing machine, fridge, stove-top, oven again, plumbing & HVAC. The last time, 2 yrs ago?), he was my go-to guy after the contract guy fr my Gas & Electric company barely looked at my AC out in the garden & told me I needed a new system. That baltimore G&E guy didn't even go into the house but told me I'd need a whole new hvac system at approx $24K. My heart dropped! I called Jim for a 2nd opinion. He noticed w/i 1.5 minutes that a wire or something was not connected on the big box outside. He reconnected things; then used a meter to check how much freon I had. He filled a refrigerant, as a favor to me. The AC was up & running great & he figured it out & fixed all in 10 minutes at 1/16 of the est. cost to replace my entire system. I can trust Jim to always steer my right. There's something special abt Jim. He has this gift of compassion. I know this as after 2016 i was in deep grief after the tragic passing of my son. My home was in disarray, my mood was jumbled & low. He sensed the chaos & the debilitating effect grief had hold on me. Despite me & my house not being at their best, he carried on & set me upright. My intuition told me he knew. I now need his expertise again, as a hose in my basement ceiling shows leaking & the AC is not cold. I will call Jim. I can honestly say, as a human w/ a loving heart, I love my friend Jim. He knows stuff never learned by most technicians today. Not sure abt his prowess w/ all the computerized wi-fi junk being produced today & programmed to break down after warranty. But nothing I have is new. I prefer items manufactured decades ago, when things were built to last. Next move, call Jim!

Talking to someone on the phone, he proceeds to talk $hit on the phone about me. Then when it's time to leave, he walks upstairs and says "I want my hundred dollars ". and lastly he lied on the receipt and says I refused service. I wouldn't recommend this company or Jim to anyone, complete clown!
