We were sure we needed a new refrigerator, but figured we'd have ours looked at first. Dan, from Ultimate Appliance Repair came out on the same day we called, spent time diagnosing the problem and fixed it. It turned out to be a $10 part that had kicked the bucket and was causing all sorts of water and ice issues. He replaced the part, even cleaned up the area behind the fridge, and then tackled a problem of a stove that's been out of level for years. Wonderful person to deal with, fair price. Once again Ultimate Appliance proved themselves to be a company that can be trusted and relied upon to get the job done right the first time. Our Maytag Bravo XL clothes drier was not heating up at all. John came out, troubleshot the problem, and knew exactly what needed to be done. He spent hours at the house. I looked in at one point and he had completely disassembled the drier to get at the problem. John thoroughly cleansed the insides of dangerous burnt lint that came close to a causing a fire. When I saw my drier completely disassembled I thought to myself, "This is going to be a helluva bill." When the job was done, John had disassembled the drier, cleaned it thoroughly, installed a new heating element and thermostat, and reassembled the drier. The bill was only $353.92! Poor repair-still waiting for my dishwasher to be fixed after nearly 2 months! Tech came out saw a pipe leak said he had to order the part which took a few week-- after calling them I was told someone threw my part away while they were on vacation had to reorder.Finally after more time he came out to fix it,after installing,tried starting and smoke came from control,he left.I've been calling the office only to get the run around getting an appointment date-wait and no show,call the office was told he would call end,no call!!! Dan came to repair our LG dryer. He called on his way to our house and was very knowledgeable and explained what was wrong with the dryer. He fixed the problem and tested the dryer to see that it was working correctly. He went out of his way to remove some lint from our outside vent and explained the importance of checking it from time to time. If you typically take your shoes off in your house, you might think twice. Our freezer is on the fritz. Our normal choice for appliance repair is the Appliance Guys, who sent an awesome repair woman to fix our dryer. She was great and it was an extra treat and inspiration to our young daughters. Sadly, they are understaffed at the moment and aren't servicing Severna Park currently. After reading reviews, I tried giving Ultimate Appliance Repair a shot. Called on a Friday and the front office staff was really nice and set us up for an appointment on Monday with one of the owners. I was juggling work commitments, so tried touching base midday to make sure everything was still on track, couldn't connect with them, but no problem. Owner calls, ten minutes out, and everything is looking good. When Dan stepped into the front door, I mentioned that we typically take our shoes off. He said that's not an option, which I totally understand when moving around heavy objects. I asked if he happened to have slip covers for his shoes and he said he'd check his truck. I thought I was totally polite; I've never have had any issues with any other folks coming to do work in the house. About a minute later, I opened to door to call out that if he couldn't find any, it was no problem, only to see him get in the driver's seat and drive away. No response to a call or text. It was really odd. I'm guessing it's just a fluke, or a particularly rough day. Maybe he got a bad vibe from us. After assessing the fridge and freezer, which is nearly 20 years old, we opted to just order a new fridge. I was sort of expecting as a likely possibility. I would have preferred to do that through a local business, but didn't have an easy option, so just went with a big box retailer. Obviously, Ultimate Appliance Repair must have plenty of business, and I'm guessing it was just a fluke of circumstance, but I wouldn't ever think to call them in the future. read more

Pros: Quick enough to get on schedule, and very professional, engaging manner on phone and in person. Very thorough diagnosis; seems like fair assessment and complete resolution for problem. Cons: Apparently, no back office to take calls so sometimes you have to wait until they are off a job to return call; good for you if it's at your house they are being conscientious about avoiding calls while working. Let me first say, I hope we never have to call them again..but with that said...if any of our appliances break again they will be the first and only place we call! When my fridge went up in the middle of the COVID19 pandemic and stay at home order in Maryland, I was concerned around having to schedule a special appointment and that this would lead to long wait times. Within 30 minutes of leaving a message and submitting their online information form, I received a call and they were able to diagnose the problem over the phone. They were professional, prompt, and provided helpful information throughout the process (Turns out we had a very common problem, and our fridge was actually a part of a class action lawsuit). They made sure to let us know that we were able to get the parts covered through manufacturer warranty, and would only have to cover labor expenses. happy new year everyone, the end of 2012 ended badly with a very bad expierence with an appliance repair company but then i found ultimate appliance repair. they were great, if ever i need service again i will call them, it's a no brainer. they came right away and repaired my washer which had been down since dec. 13 2012, another company came said it was the pump , made me pay a $300 deposit and never came back. ultimate appliance repair came just thursday jan 2 said it was the pump ordered it and came yesterday and repaired my washer, and they only charged me including the pump under $200, i would highly recommend dan he is the owner of ultimate appliance repair. there awesome. read more
