Finally after I stood there long enough waiting for their personal conversation to end I was met with "DO YOU NEED SOMETHING?" followed by an extremely annoyed stare. I told him what I needed and was directed to go stand in another area. The first employee talked to me like I was an idiot when he directed me stating "go over there and stand and when he says "next" tell them you need help" So fine, I did as I was told and was met by the plumbing grinch #2 who simply STARED at me until I finally folded and told him I needed help. It was the most awkward, uncomfortable exchange ever. Once I explained what I needed he asked me for the brand which I didn't know off the top of my head. He clearly didn't like this because I told they sell no universal parts and I should go Somewhere else to find my part. I was able to contact a family member who looked and gave me what I needed and proceeded back in to face the horrible staff. Once again I was greeted with straight up animosity. I told him what I needed and was immediately told "we don't have it, there's another store nearby" Well I did go to that store nearby who greeted me, helped me find what I needed, and didn't make me feel like I was a horrible person for simply walking into the store. I appreciate their referral to a friendly, more customer service oriented environment. I will NEVER set foot into Ferguson again. What a dreadful experience.

One word for that: egads! We did a frantic online search to find appliances, and stumbled upon Appliance Land Etc. The Appliance Land website didn't show many details about specific appliances in inventory, but we went anyway, trying to avoid the big box stores if possible. They had a great selection, but really only one in the size that we wanted (30"W 66"H 30"D) but it matched exactly what we were looking for. Dennis was amazingly helpful and awesome. He checked the inventory and saw that he had last year's model of a fridge in the size that we needed. He offered us that model for about $50 off the normal retail since it was a floor model. Turns out, the inventory was wrong and the model on the floor was the 2015 model. He offered us the same discount on the fridge, and we're having it delivered for free on Tuesday. I'll write an update to my review after the delivery. They offer haul-away for $20 and they will recycle it. A couple of notes, we found the same model fridge at either Lowes or Home Depot, and it was the same retail price. We chose to support small business. Dennis also gave us some good advice on microwaves and how easy it is to install them in lieu of a vent. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone shopping for appliances. We're looking to redo our kitchen in a year or so, and we'll definitely be visiting these guys when we shop for appliances.

It's like going into your neighborhood hardware store and that's not a feeling you get everywhere in the DMV. No other Home Depot has this vibe that I've been to. They don't have as huge a selection like Bethesda or even near PG plaza but, they have great people who work there. I absolutely love the long time workers but I have to admit their new hires are pretty awesome too. What I love most is they are real people, meaning not robotic or like zombies. I think this store should get a pay raise and increased professional training to have more knowledge. Idk what they actually get paid but, when you have people that are happy at work, want to help, stay for years and years, I would hope they get paid enough to have a good life. One of my favorite workers is the paint guy!! Mr. R. He's been helping me for YEARS and years :-D. Great job to this location. The only thing that would make this better is longer hours open like the old days and lower prices like the old days. Idk if those days are coming back ever. Maybe, it's be and I'm friendly to the staff, so they reciprocate? Idk. I have three other Home Depot's and I'm always choosing this one :-D

I already had two carts completely loaded with 16-foot lumber and other materials. When I got to the large contractor gate, the employee told me it was already closed and that I had to take everything through the regular checkout lanes. There were about eight employees standing there, and not a single one was willing to help or offer a solution. I asked to speak with the manager, and the response I got was basically that they didn't care. They just kept telling me to take the two heavily loaded carts through the front registers, which was completely unrealistic. The customer service was terrible. Instead of helping a contractor with a large order, they acted like it wasn't their problem. From now on, I'd much rather shop at Lowe's than come back to this Home Depot. Management seriously needs to improve customer service and train employees to actually help customers instead of making excuses.

We also purchased, at a significantly extra cost, the five year warranty that Bray and Scarff offers on all applianced purchased through them. The first thing that went wrong was that they delivered us the wrong oven! Instead of the top of the line Jenn-Air, they sent us the next lower model. They were very apologetic, and they offered to take $1000 off the price, if we'd be good sports about it and just take the oven that they delivered. It seemed like and equitable deal at the time. In the year and a half that we've had the oven, they have been out to service it four times. On two separate occasions, we've gone without an oven in our home for two months at a time while, according to their claims, Covid-19 created supply line delays in getting parts to fix it. In other words, an oven that we've had installed in our home for one and a half years has spent half a year not working at all! The last thing to go wrong with the oven was that it randomly locked itself with food inside, during a dinner party! There was no way to get the food out, and there was no way to turn the oven off either, except for turning off the breaker. Eventually, it took a repair man to get the food out two weeks after the oven locked it in there! That was the earliest appointment the no-accounts in service could give us. Succinctly put, we were given a runaround by the sales people, and then we've been given multiple runarounds by the service department in Bowie. They initially installed the oven incorrectly; they've made appointments that they didn't keep, and they've scheduled appointments unilaterally without telling us. They are completely inept, and you should stay well away from Bray and Scarff in Bowie, MD. We will never do business with them again.

Since Aug.3,2022 I have been battling with Bray & Scar regarding a 2 yr old refrigerator that quit working. I have repeatedly been in contact with Ms. Hollie Sweeney via texts and emails up until 10/15/22. Since then , Bray & Scarf has shut down all communications. On 10/11/22 Ms. Sweeney emailed me, asking for my telephone number, which I provided. I also was informed that she is no longer in that department. Despite her email that she would continue to help me, I have heard nothing !! I sent her a email & asked for a contact number. No response. It is now 4 weeks !! No response. To date, it's been 3 weeks and I have not had any communication from Bray & Scarf , other than you telling me "You are no longer in that department, but you would try to help me". I have continued to email and call you because , You did not give me any contact information regarding who your replacement is. It is very disappointing and very frustrating to deal with a company that has such disregard for their customers. So, I am writing to you again ,hoping that you have discussed the replacement refrigerator with your replacement people. Can you please contact me. I really need this resolved. My wife and I walked around and saw no one was really helping. One lady walked by and we said out loud that this sofa is too big and we are looking at the smaller options, she said ok and walked away, not good customer service I must say. My wife then walked to their customer service or open office area for help. We spoke to Sue who gave us pricing for what we were searching for and informed her if she could do any better on the pricing; She came back a few minutes later with a lower price, but it was still not cheaper than their competitor. Sue before we were leaving had us fill out a form with our information and email address and she mentioned she was going to send me a proposal or draft invoice with the pricing on it via email . When I asked when I might receive that, she suddenly says we do not do that here. What I do not understand is if you are offering me an email with a proposal or draft invoice, why bring it up in the first place if you do not offer it. We wound up purchasing our sofa and chaise at a competitor in Columbia, MD. who had much better service and the pricing was less expensive. I would have to say if you are looking at high end furniture, please visit this store for comparison shopping, but I would not recommend you purchase here or expect someone to ask you if you need help. Thanks
