Know your right to to refuse appliances that do NOT work (do not let them install it, you accept a broken/non-working product and then send a tech to fix it). And, prepare to spend a LOT of time dealing with them if there are any hassles. My washer went out, and I needed a replacement urgently. I came into their showroom and spoke with one of their sales team. He strongly pushed me toward two options, an Electrolux 517 or an Electrolux 617 both for the same price. I, of course, chose the 617 (the Electrolux 617 online gets great reviews, the 517 not quite as much). I was told by the sales guy that they'd be delivered on the following Tuesday, early Wednesday at the absolute latest. I paid for it, and waited to hear from the delivery people. The next day, I was told that the delivery would be on Friday, not Tuesday (3 days later). Ugh. The clothes are piling up. So, the delivery day rolls around, and they show up to deliver the unit. When it's installed, it 100% does not work. It lights up, but doesn't take water, and the door locks and won't open. They tell me to hang out and wait for the service team to come and look at the unit. I say that's not acceptable. I call the sales person, and while I'm talking with them, the service people leave, leaving the unit behind. So, in talking with folks (sales and service are "different divisions" and seem to use that as an excuse for why things can't get done), I finally get them to understand that I'm not going to wait several days for a service tech to come out and repair a BRAND NEW unit. They agree to pick it up and work on some options for me. After several hours, I reach back out to them to see what they plan to do. Note that they told me if we get a solution today, it could be delivered tomorrow. IF not, then it will be 5 days before they can deliver it. So, obviously, it's URGENT that I get something selected. They close at 6pm. At 5pm I call, and they offer me the "lower version" of the same product ("517") for the same price as I paid for the 617. Or, they said I could get the 627 (the newer unit) for $100 more, as they didn't have any more of the 617. After a LOT of hassle, they said they could do the 627 for the same price as the 617 they sold me. BUT, they have to verify the warranty (which makes no sense to me. If it's a new unit, why do they need to verify the warranty?). The next day, they finally delivered a working dishwasher. But, there was tooo much hassle and headache. Appliances a better way? Hrm... As a last note, my next door neighbor's washer went out about 2 weeks ago as well. They purchased from this same place. Their first unit was DOA as well. So, be SUPER careful. Make sure you get a solid test wash, and that things are working.

He phoned to ensure everything was clear, and I gave him my card no. The quote was more than reasonable (I had searched other sites!) By Sat at 11, the microwave had arrived, was installed, and the job finished! The installers were efficient and delightful to deal with! In my long life I have NEVER had such a seamless purchasing experience, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! All in all, it gives me hope that the right way to do business hasn't disappeared altogether. Applianceland, Copper and the installers were very impressive!

As a long-time customer of Harper's, I will not be returning…read more We bought a GE washer/dryer from them in December of 2023. The washer made a loud and jarring "boom" sound when it began its cycle, and several times throughout the washing cycle. Harper's came out to look at it twice, and said that there was nothing wrong with it - perhaps it was a plumbing issue (though the previous washer had not made this sound). We had a plumber check it out and it was not a plumbing issue. We have listened to the very loud booms from the machine (which reverberate throughout the house) for 2 years until it stopped working last week. Our repairman said it needed a new control board, which he installed. This still did not fix the problem. His finding was that the "boom" sound was a defective drive motor, which was not detected by Harper's on 2 occasions. When I went to Harper's today to tell them about the situation they took no responsibility, telling me their repair person had looked at the machine and not found anything wrong with it, and unfortunately the warranty was up. I find this very frustrating, as there was clearly something wrong with the machine from the beginning, and their lack of getting to the root of the problem caused it to break after only two years. Yes, technically it is no longer their problem, but they could have done way better on this. Extremely disappointing.

I was in Satyr Hill Shopping Center on E Joppa RD. for lunch after visiting HD in shopping center next store and saw a new cabinet store a few doors away. I stopped in and was immediately greeted by Bulent. I explained that cost was a big factor in my selection and believed that he could not even get close to the price I already had from HD for unfinished ready to assemble cabinets, Bulent indicated he had time and was willing to take a look if I had time. He took my existing design drawings; I had made and he entered into his system and made a great rendering for me to see, then he had some great ideas and made some suggestions on improvements that I thought would add extra cost. The first price was much higher than HD but he suggested another selection of cabinets that did not have as many color choices but something close (wife needed to approve) The new price was close and they came assembled and painted saving me some back-end cost. Went home discussed color with my wife she agreed that this would be a good option, next day I went back and placed order expecting a long delivery. Few weeks latter they call to set up delivery I asked them to hold a few weeks and they did without any problems. Delivery was good and units were inspected and repackaged before delivery, all in great condition. First problem came up and here is where a company fails or shines. I had a small problem with shelving and Bulent jumped on the problem like they were his cabinets, he kept in contact with me every day to resolve the problem and did not stop until the problem was resolved to my complete satisfaction. I was ecstatic with his resolution; this is the mark of a good salesman and company. This company shines. I spent most of my life in customer support and a small problem resolved is great way to show pride in the company. Quality of the cabinets is great, fronts, backs, sides and shelving are all real wood, not particle board. In this case they are being used as storage in my master bedroom where I do not expect them to be in contact with water so I could have used MDF but wood is so much nicer. Great salesman, great company and product, now they even added large screen in their showroom so you can see your design in progress. Highest recommendation, I do not do this often. Thanks for the great way I was treated.
