Bought many 2nd hand appliances in really good condition for rental properties, friends and relatives. In fact, Just bought a fairly new 20 CF refrigerator with icemaker for our basement. One castor wheel was broke but i had a spare and fixed problem in minutes. I did have to replace ice maker water valve with a valve I retained from old refrigerator. No complaints with Ace Appliance...but do check the goods thoroughly before purchase. Don't be naive thinking a used or refurbished appliance is in excellent or new condition. Lots of good appliances with discount prices. Inventory is always changing. Trust this helps someone.

The delivery people were professional and competent. The refrigerator stunk for WEEKS! Despite several boxes of baking soda! Then within weeks the dryer quit working. I called & the "Owner" and he said that I probably have a birds nest from outside blocking the exhaust. I explained that it was a new installation with new exhaust & levered exit to outside to prevent this. He sent someone but threatened to charge me $150 if it was because of exhaust. Then it failed again. Long story shorter, I ended up paying a competent tech $100 to fix the heating element & verify that the machine was brought into my home in a mis-serviced condition. The owner told me he was not in business to argue with me about his warrantee & hung up on me!

I often use their phone app to check availability & items' location in the store. We have also bought large household appliances and paid for installation & removal of old appliances. The service was great & convenient. I learned about their ProX option for contractors, handymen, and others. I thought that I had to prove that I owned a business. Turns out that anyone can sign up for free. The savings benefits come into effect after spending a certain amount of money. Hence more suited for businesses or people who are constant DIYers like me. I am in the store at least once a week. Oh, they have a military discount program. Now, while the staff if helpful, often it's hard to find the staff. It's a big store and they are often busy. For me, this is not a problem since I usually know what I need and the app tells me the items' location in the store. But some people might feel lost in the store.

Home Depot is everyone's favorite box store, right?…read more I'm not sure what it is about this location but the parking lot and inside layout can induce anxiety and elevated senses borderline frustration. I almost wish they'd go ahead and post a map of the store upfront. It takes you longer to find and flag an associate than to get the item yourself and go through self check out. My encounters here have all been in the garden center. June is a busy time and plants multiply almost weekly. I don't mind searching high and low for plants and garden essentials especially propagated ones to start/add to your garden! I've found quite a few rescues who are all thriving so if you want to add to your hoard of plants check them out. Special thanks and mention to the staff at the self checkout who are very helpful, responsive, and friendly.
