When I put out the call for recommendations for an appliance repair person to fix a freezer drawer that had become precariously detached on one side, *three* people immediately and enthusiastically recommended Ace Appliance. Barbara returned my call in just a couple of hours. I had a lovely conversation with her and she quickly got us scheduled. Barbara's explanation of how the process would work was clear--and I really appreciated the insight she voluntarily provided as to why the timing of the appointment worked the way it did. As promised, they called the day before our appointment with the time frame that Greg would arrive. Also as promised, Greg called when he was headed to our place. Greg was everything you hope for in a repair person: personable, professional, and knowledgeable. When ours was a problem he hadn't seen before, he was intrigued, rather than stumped. His years of experience absolutely showed, and he got everything back to smooth working order in 20 minutes! It's such a relief to find an excellent and reliable repair person--especially one who is local. I totally understand why my colleagues were quick to recommend them. Let me start by saying, that I really never take the time to write reviews, but in this case, I had to make an exception. I just bought a house in Massachusetts, and I have been trying to get it up and running. I have reached out to several local companies for help, Ace Appliance being one of them. I called them on a Wednesday afternoon because I turned on my washing machine, and water started pouring out all over the place. Barbara was very responsive on the phone and was able to get Greg out to me by Friday afternoon. She also responded to me multiple times to answer my many questions. Greg is top notch as well. He showed up on time and was not only incredibly knowledgeable (he knew in a second what the problem was with my washing machine), but also very personable and professional. He went out of his way to explain everything to me, and he followed up after hours to give me the information on the availability, timing and cost of the replacement part. We had an issue with our washing machine today, 5/13/25. The machine stopped shortly after being started, (totally our fault) but was locked up with no way to get the semi wet clothes out. We also thought the machine was dead. I asked our friends who they used and fortunately one recommended Greg from Ace Appliance Service. I called late morning figuring the clothes would be damaged beyond repair before I got anyone here but no more than 2 hours later I got a call that Greg would be on his way shortly. After having an energy assessment , our gas oven was found to be emitting an excessive amount of carbon monoxide. I called our propane company who recommended Ace Appliance in Heath. I am so happy I called them!!. They are very friendly, and professional. They return calls when they say they will, called a half hour before he showed up and was on time, but most of all, he explained what was wrong, why it was wrong what it needed to burn right , and what it would cost to fix it before he did it. He was also considerate of our property. There was a lot of soot in the oven and he made sure it didn't get on the floor, cleaned the inside of the oven and sections that had to come put in the process!! I called Ace to repair a faulty burner on my gas range. Their office was professional and efficient and arranged a timely visit with any needed parts in 4-5 days. Greg Rode the technician arrived punctually, which is ever easy in rural Vermont, and fixed the errant burner in about 1 minute. We have a new Cove dishwasher that had a recall. Unfortunately there wasn't a service provider in my area. Cove is part of SubZero-Wolf so I called them to help find someone to perform the service. Finally Greg from Ace was able to come & fix the issue. He couldn't' be more professional, efficient or personable. My refrigerator died, which I didn't discover until things were thawing and spoiling. I frantically filled the backyard snowdrifts with storage boxes fullof the things that looked like they might be saved. Greg repaired my new refrigerator that I bought from Lowe's a couple of months ago. It was delivered and set up but the doors were installed incorrectly and parts were missing. Greg showed up promptly, diagnosed the problem with my dishwasher right away, took acre of it, and additionally found a leak in the drain hose. Very thorough explanation. He offered to call the next morning with the hose part number so I could repair it myself or he would do it for me if I preferred. They were professional, and as timely as possible with the current supply chain issues affecting parts. I reached out to Ace to have my Bosch induction cooktop replaced. I was dreading the experience because the the cooktop was in my vacation home and I thought scheduling would be a hassle, not to mention the expense. I was pleasantly surprised!
