I went to look at a 2011 Toyota Tundra Limited that was listed for about $20,000. During the test drive, once I reached highway speeds (around 50 mph), the truck began shaking badly. When I brought this up, the salesman said he didn't know why it was happening and then checked his phone and told me the vehicle had not been inspected yet because they "just got it." After returning to the lot, I opened the hood to look things over, and when I closed it, the Toyota emblem fell off. I then looked underneath the truck and found a significant oil leak. Again, I was told the issues would be fixed and that the vehicle had not yet been inspected. I told them I would consider purchasing the truck for **$16,000 only after all of the issues were properly repaired and the vehicle fully inspected**. I also showed them comparable vehicles -- same year with lower miles and even newer models (including a 2016) with fewer miles selling for about **$2,000 less**. Despite this, they refused to negotiate and continued to insist on $20,000, which is well over market value given the mileage and condition. At one point, I was asked why I hadn't purchased the other comparable vehicles I showed them. I explained that I was still in the process of looking and comparing options. I was then told that maybe I should buy those vehicles instead because they were not going to budge on the price. The overall attitude during this exchange felt dismissive rather than professional, especially given the condition of the vehicle. I also noticed the vehicle history shows a prior **minor accident**, which by itself wouldn't necessarily be a deal-breaker, but combined with the vibration, oil leak, and lack of inspection, it raised additional concerns. I have family members who work as mechanics and salespeople at major dealerships like Toyota and Ford, and I also have some experience myself, so I understand how vehicles should be inspected, road-tested, and priced before being offered for sale. Unfortunately, my experience here was consistent with concerns I've seen mentioned by other reviewers -- vehicles priced high, little flexibility on price, and cars not fully ready despite premium asking prices. Bad transmission, broken steering parts, check engine light , etc.. Hopefully others had a better experience than me and my family did. Even through the buying process there was something fishy. We test drove a van and wanted to buy it, but they said it hasn't been inspected and will be ready in a few days. Fast forward a week later after continuously asking if it's ready, so i can schedule pick up around my work, they kept saying the next day and the next day. Then they call me a week after not having it ready rushing me to get it, saying they have all these other buyers, when I've been trying to contact them about it all week. As they rush us to pick it up i didn't think to test drive it again since it drove ok the week before. Well we did all the paperwork and ended up with the van, and on the way home the transmission started acting up almost immediately. All the tires had bulging on it and all i asked of them was to make it safe for my newborn son and wife. They then told me they spent too much money on it and weren't going to help further. Bad transmission, bad tires, sliding doors don't work, DVD player doesn't work, TPMS issues, alignment issues, dead battery, and now the front end is clicking even though they say, they replaced a lot of the steering components already. The check engine light is on now for emissions too. Never trust a dealership that has their own shop. They don't do quality work, they just rush the work to sell the car. I'm extremely disappointed and trying to contact them about it they told me to F off basically. So i will forsure be contacting a lawyer and do not recommend this dealership at all, unless you want a lemon read more

That was one shady experience. We went to look at a used Subaru for sale on the lot. We were allowed to take it to our mechanic to have it checked out and the salesperson said the price could be negotiable based on what our mechanic told us. First thing I noticed was that the list of features on the car was a complete fairy tale. No navigation system, no moon roof, no back up camera. All of these features were posted right there on the window of the car. Our mechanic pointed out several things, including evidence of an oil leak and side wall damage to all four tires, among other things. DONT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!! Worst dealership we ever gotten a car from. We bought a 2012 Infiniti QX56 back in march, and a couple of weeks after we bought it the check engine light came on. My husband had it scanned and it said it was a catalytic converter so we called the dealer and they told us to schedule an appt at their auto care in Lafayette. When we took the car to the auto care shop they just reset the light and "cleaned an oxygen sensor" they knew the guarantee was gonna expire in a couple of days. Fast forward to two weeks after, the check engine light came back on so we called ace auto care and they told us to take the car back to them, this time they did say it was a bad catalytic converter and that they were gonna order it and give me a call once they had it. So I called Azzizi and I told him if there was a way they could cover the costs cause it wasn't fair that we only had that car for about a month and we were having issues already. He agreed to pay 60 or 70% of the costs but that I had to go to ace auto care again and figure out which catalytic converter was the bad one. Once again we drove all the way to Lafayette just to have them scan the car again and tell us once again that they were gonna order the catalytic converter and call us to schedule an appointment once they had the part. I've been calling them for over a month and still to this day they haven't gotten the part and always promise to give me a call. Bunch of liars. read more

That's 1 hour I'll never get back! Like many of these reviews indicated, these guys are undoubtedly sloppy scammers. Knowing that I wanted to see a truck as it's first appointment on Sat morning, they purposely increased the truck for an extra $1,000 as I was ready to pay. I quickly told them that I saw it for 1k less the day before and that it wasn't right for them to increase it within 24hrs. The guy behind the desk, perhaps his name was Aziz, stated that someone offered $500 more and that's why they listed for $1k more. They were fooling with the wrong one! You know I had to pull up my receipts real quick - it's uploaded onto this post. First off it that was the case, why didn't you go with that first offer? This isn't a bidding war for a truck. I'm not an idiot. I asked them to sell it to us for the original listed price but they refused. We immediately left the shop because we knew they were trying to scam us. Shortly after we left they tried to email us back to sell it to us for the original listing price (attached). First off, you were dishonest with everything from trying to rip us off 1k, then lying about someone offering it for $500 more than listing price. Also, the young dude running around didn't bother wearing a mask and I asked him to put one on but he refused to. It's a COVID pandemic, put your damn mask on bro! The fair market value of the car is around $7500, and I'm a cash buyer, so I offered $8k out the door. I understand the process, including various fees. I never heard back from him. The car wasn't selling. So, I emailed him again today and offered $7k; thinking that it would get a reaction out of him and at least begin a negotiation process. Instead, he replied to that offer with a series of emails you'll see below. I'm not exactly proud of the way I reacted, but his initial email was off putting and rude, and he took it a step further afterwards. I got a response out of him, and I would have been willing to negotiate. Instead, he chose to get defensive and treat me in a very non professional manner. If you don't like the offer, either say so, don't respond, or give a counter offer. It's that simple. I have been in search of a sports utility vehicle for some time, lots of research on line to the many different platforms, from auction sites, I.e BAT Bring a trailer, Cars & bids, Craigslist searches including local google searches for specific vehicles in the SUV category. Specifically, used Lexus, Toyota variants, and some Acura's. Which brought me eventually to Ace Auto Dealers. As I looked at their on line selection, it had about 3 or 4 of the kind of cars I was in search of and after reading their seemingly valid positive reviews, I decided to make a trip from San Francisco to Martinez, only after going to my bank, Wells Fargo to withdraw 20k in cash. Making my way there was not easy, a bus ride to Bart, long trip to north concord Martinez stop, the 99x bus to Pacheco Blvd, off at the Pacheco Blvd trans station, then a Lyft ride to 3610 Pacheco Blvd, i finally arrived there at 4:45 pm as I think they close at 6. Walked in was greeted by a sales guy, and I said I was looking at the Lexus GX 470, looked at a few cars outside, Lexus 350, took a Highlander out for a quick drive, I apologized to the guy for all the questions as I knew they were not far from closing. I finally decided on a Toyota Venza. I had a brief meeting with the guy that makes the final decision on price, we negotiated a bit, if you call it that, he agreed to take $150 off, only after some In trepidation. He finally accepts and ask for id , well unfortunately I keep my drivers licenses in my phone , front and back copy of which your law enforcement accept and so too did the Wells Fargo teller when I withdrew the 20 thousand dollars I brought to this subpar comic of a sales person who declined my digitally stored DL, nor would he accept my passport in a live video of me holding my passport next to my face clearly showing I am who I say I am, which my stock holdings flatforms accept incase I forget password & am locked out of my account. However this unprofessional moron refuses to consider it, additionally I do keep a recently expired DL on me that I also gave to him and he refuses. He is an absolute disgrace to the vehicle salesman profession and has an uncompromising distain for the line of work he's in or he's uninterested in accommodating an individual with valid presentation of identification, albeit in digital form, but hello you idiot, this is the way of the future! Wake up! You just lost a sale and I'm going to repeat this review on the other platforms as well. This individual does not belong in this role, who knows how many sales this clown declined because of his inability to act with common sense. The rest of the staff from the owner to the detailer were very professional friendly and were very laid-back and not pushy at all. We left with a 2008 Honda accord with 37,000 miles on it. Being a 2008 there were obviously some Little issues with it. We were told to take it to Ace auto repair in Lafayette which we did. The car is there now and should be ready by tomorrow or late this afternoon. we have a warranty for 30 days for anything we find which, as you can imagine, is very unusual for this late model vehicle. I called one morning and spoke with Sam. I was looking for a used car for my 16 year old daughter. I told him what we were looking for, he recommended a couple of cars they had in stock. He even took pictures of the cars for me and pointed out any flaws on the body of the cars before we made a trip there. We went there in the afternoon, test drove one car, and walked out with a 2003 Honda Civic with 77,000 miles. The whole process took less than an hour! No pressure sales and he was so willing to help. We met his cousin, Azizi, who I believe runs the dealership. They gave us a 30-day warranty on the car and said to let them know if we need anything. When we were driving it home, it sounded like the engine was about to die when it was idle. We texted Sam and he immediately called us back and had Azizi on the phone as well. We also told Azizi a few other items that were not related to the engine that we wanted fixed. Azizi asked us to drop it off at a car shop in Lafayette that his brother, Safi, owns and that's where they have all their cars serviced before putting them for sale. He said they will check it out and do whatever needs to be done and he apologized whatever the issue is, it wasn't caught earlier by their team but that he understands our worry after we just purchased a car. He reassured us that Safi will take care of it. Safi had as much integrity as his brother and cousin. He took care of everything on our list and more. He decided to change the wiper blades and the battery because he knew the car is for our 16 year old daughter. They all took care of us under the warranty, free of charge. That's what I call amazing customer service and caring about doing the right thing. Both the dealership and the auto shop will now have our repeat business. This place was such a joke I almost forgot to laugh. The experience started off well, I inquired about a vehicle online and heard from Sasan within 30 minutes. He asked when I would be coming to look the vehicle over and I gave him a day, he said call in the morning to make sure they still have it before driving out. So I did that, they still had it. Great. Then I actually went to the place, and this is where the hilarious stupidity begins. First off, I put the place in my phone navigation and when I pull up to ACE Hardware, I think I selected the wrong place. Nope. This car dealership is a tiny spot next door to the hardware store. Oh. My. God. Hilarious. Then I park and go in, and the two guys don't even know that they only have one of the specific vehicle I'm there to see. Awesome, that's very professional, right? Yeah... So Sasan takes me outside to see the car as he is telling me that one tail light is broken (I know that this means technically and legally I can't drive the vehicle home today regardless of anything else). He shows me, says let me move the car for you. I say ok and wait for him. When he gets out again he goes, "Ok, there are two known issues with this cat. One is the tail light. The other is it's out of gas." Wow. I decide to just look it over and sit in it, it smells like the prior owner was a smoker - oh, joy! Sasan says we can just go get gas during the test drive and I told him I don't have time. I give 2 stars instead of 1 because at least Sasan was polite and first contact was good. But seriously, you know a customer is coming in for a specific vehicle 2 DAYS on advance and the car doesn't even have gas? That's not my job, that's your job, as is knowing your very small inventory. Not that hard, because you sell cars. Just once more, for good measure. Say it with me: WOW. read more

Talk about impeccable customer service and hospitality! Azizi treated me like family from our initial conversation to meeting in person. I found a Lexus GX470 via my USAA banking app and sent a message to him about my interest. After calling to see if the car was still available, he assured that it was and that he was flexible to meet anytime I was free. No pressure whatsoever. I visited the dealership to view the GX470 and ultimately felt it was much smaller than I had anticipated. After taking a look at the rest of the lot, we test drove a Sequoia, toured a Land Cruiser, and checked out LX 470; all in an hour. We ultimately landed on the Sequoia (which was incredibly well kept and clean!) and he gave me a deal that outmatched any listing I've seen on the internet and in person throughout the bay area. This guy really knows what he is doing, and puts quality TLC into his business and his vehicles. After the purchase, he texted me a few days later to check in and thanked me for my business. NO ONE does that nowadays. I really had a pleasant experience working with Azizi and will return for my next purchases -- 200x GT Mustang Convertible and/or Toyota Tacoma. Azizi, you rock my man! These guys take pictures of the car and make it look like it's been garaged and well taken care of the lighting inside their shop makes the car look like it's in 100% better condition than it really is. I called talked to Sam and Azizi about a Toyota Camry that they claimed was a one owner car and garage and in mint condition drove all the way 2 hours from San Jose to look at the car and the car was a joke.
