Review for Ace Auto Glass - Aiea Location On July 3, 2025, I had my windshield replaced at Ace Auto Glass in Aiea. At the time of service, I paid $728.94, with the clear understanding--confirmed through a phone conversation with your agent, my State Farm insurance representative, and myself--that I would cover my $500 deductible and my insurance would pay the balance of $238.94. I was surprised to later receive a bill showing the total charge as $1,075, with $575 billed to my insurance instead of the agreed $238.94. This discrepancy remains unresolved despite my attempts to address it and provide receipts. This type of billing error is both frustrating and unprofessional. I expected transparency and accuracy, and unfortunately, that was not delivered. Unless this issue is corrected, I cannot recommend this company. Carol read more

I'm all about supporting local businesses but the owners need to change management or retrain their staff. The ladies that's answering the calls are very very rude, learn some customer service! Whoever is supposed to be training them, shouldn't be in management. I called to reschedule my appointment, the last lady told me to bring my Vehicle in at 7am so I told the women my appointment was at 7am and she said wait wait I don't have a 7am, then I said what's ur first appointment and she said it's 8am then I asked her if that's under me and I gave my name and she well what's your Vehicle. Incredible service and quality work. My 2023 Ford Explorer had a crack on my windshield due to a trucks tire kicking up a rock. Less than a year old replacing the windshield already. Walked in, Ive been using Ace for years for my business. Had my inspection, to big of a crack to epoxy searched for a replacement in 3 days, Took it in on Monday, picked it up on Tuesday, most windshields now days take 1-4 days because of the cameras and sensors plus calibration. On a windy day, a branch from a palm tree made a direct hit on my windshield. Called 7 places and I was most impressed with Ace Auto Glass. Originally I called theIr Kaka'ako office but the lady said they didn't have my windshield model in stock. However she said give her 5 minutes to check with the Kalihi store. Within 5 minutes she called back and said I was confirmed for the next day at 8 am. The next day, I dropped my car off and it was completed by 10:30 am. My car got broken into unfortunately... I couldn't risk having my window open for someone to try and steal my vehicle... con's of having an old vehicle. I immediately called my insurance and their auto shop didn't have my glass in stock. Went on yelp And searched for "auto glass repair". I stumbled upon a few places and called each one. They all didn't have my window in stock. Until I called ace auto glass and to my surprise they had my glass in stock and I even made an appointment for the next day. My appt was at 11, I was estimated that it would it take about 2-3 hrs. But they called me around 12 saying my car was ready for pick up! They even cleaned out the broken glass in my car. On Friday, an unfortunate incident happened right outside my house. Someone broke my front passenger window. Thankfully, nothing was taken... well, there wasn't much to take except for re-usable bags, cds and feminine products. I would have gladly gave them these items if they needed it. Lol. Anyways, I originally wanted to go to an auto shop up the rode, but they didn't pick up the phone (after many attempts). I was recommended by my brother to come here. I called Ace and the woman was very helpful. She was able to squeeze me in today and Ace Auto closed at 12 noon. You can imagine how grateful I was. The woman was also helpful in telling me directions to Ace Auto. It's near Marukai and OCCC. Going toward the airport, it'll be on the right side before Hele gas station. The waiting room is a bit small - 4 seats, cable television, magazines and newspapers, and a display case of products. The job took one and half hours. I was happy with the result and, again, very grateful for the last minute appointment. I highly recommend to come here. They have other locations around the island. Couple weeks ago in the month of May/2020, I took in my brothers Car to get his Front window repaired cause there was a small crack in his front window, so took it in to Ace Auto Glass, it was a confusing on where to park the car before checking in for your appointment, So I just parked in on the front area of the shop. Had to figure it out myself on where too go to get checked in, then after finding out where too go and what not I grabbed this clip board with the correct name on it and fill out the paper. Then after a LADY came out and assist me. So when the REPAIR was done with the Front Window of my brothers car, one of the staff notified my brother that while doing the repair they SCRATCHED the WINDOW Which cause a scratch mark about 2 inches, so they told my brother we can't fix the scratch, only thing we can do is to change and replace the whole window but it will cost you $500-$700 and the best thing they could offer is a discount but still will have to pay a lot out of pocket, so that was FRUSTRATING. SMH so the thing is why do my brother have to pay for the replacement when it wasn't his fault for the window scratch on his window ? Honestly ACE AUTO GLASS should replace the WHOLE WINDOW with NO COST........ BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

Have to give one star because there are no "0" stars available- I have never posted anything - so Yes, I am more than pissed off - tired of businesses tryin to get over on you. I went to this place to get a chip smaller than a dime at bottom left side (drivers side) if looking at a clock on the windshield it would be 7 o'clock - not in the view of driving. I had let them know this while making appointment. I was given a time/date and I dropped my vehicle off and was told it would take about an hour - got a call back that they are unable to fix it with resin and that a whole NEW Windshield was needed - again, it was less than a dime on the bottom left side. I was told that it was the "policy" of the business - I again stated how it is not in my view but bottom left, and a smaller than dime. I don't need my insurance to skyrocket for a small pin size crack on my windshield, "sorry that is the policy" is all that the clerk stated. Anyways, I picked up my car and called my insurance they suggested to call SafeLite - WOW, I had an appointment 2 days later, they came to my home emailed and stated the quote and fixed it under 20 minutes and you cannot even tell where the resin fill was. With todays high cost of living on everything, I cannot believe that this local business is trying to squeeze you with a straight forward look at your face with no empathy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that businesses have to give charity - but a whole windshield! Gimme a break so sad- If I do get into a real big situation where I will need a new windshield they will NOT get my business as I will let anyone I know that needs a windshield fixed don't go there. read more

Oh well, thanks to HECO, a giant pvc conduit landed on my rear windshield and shattered it. They did take full responsibility and cut me a check to cover the damage. Did some yelp research and hooked up with ACE auto glass. I showed up and they were ready. Dropped my car off, walked couple blocks to Ray's Cafe to get some ono grinds. 4/29/23 - Update: The Boss called me a few days after the incident and apologized. He mentioned that the window tech did not follow procedures. The tech should have inspected the window prior to taking the car keys from us. He also confirmed that the window should not have been installed if there were defects/scratches on the window. It all started with one small rock. A rock that threatened my cars shipment to the mainland. Shipping company would not ship without repair. I surfed around the net and decided to call Ace. Very responsive, polite and supportive. They got me an appointment very quickly to meet my timing. I arrived, paperwork was already prepared and hand off was a breeze. Initial look was that perhaps it would not be correctable with a resin fill. They said they would try but couldn't guarantee success. When I came back the fix was amazingly well done. Their work is excellent but I'm not happy with their customer service. They did not start working on my vehicle on the time they said they'll do it. The staff needs to be more clear when they say it takes an hour and half, at least let your customer know you won't work on the car the time it is scheduled and that it actually takes 30 minutes before closing for you to be able to get your car done. read more

Michelly was great taking care of my wife's windshield. Our new SUV developed a chip which developed into growing crack. Not even a year old a Be a chip/windshield crack. It was a bummer but once we had our insurance notified and they cut the paperwork, it took several days for the dealer to order the replacement windshield, the glass shop confirmed the windshield was received and scheduled our car. Some dumb@$$ broke the window of the car to steal my hydro flask. I was parked in Chinatown on a Friday night to celebrate me and then this happened. It slowed me down a bit to realize to not take anything for granted! Anyhow, the next morning, I YELPED window glass repair after consulting with my insurance company. I saw that several of my friends had used Ace Auto Glass. They have several locations, but on Saturday mornings, the Kalihi location is the only one open. So I gave them a call. Amber helped me over the phone and told me I could have the work done there in Kalihi or I could wait until Monday to see what kind of schedule the other locations had. I wanted the work done right away and asked if there was a bus stop near their location and she told me yes. They had the piece of glass that I needed but it had some scratches on it from being transported. Amber told me I could inspect the glass and decide on Monday if I wanted to use it or not. Monday morning I drove Ewa bound on Dillingham Boulevard, which turns into Kamehameha Highway after Puuhale Road. Ace Auto Glass is across from OCCC but before Marukai. It's after a Laumaka Street and an auto place. You could miss the driveway into their parking lot if you drive too quickly. The office is to the left of their big warehouse door. I walked in and was greeted by Jennifer. After giving my name, she had the glass brought out for me to inspect. The scratches were on the surface. So I said it was ok to use and they gave me a discount on the glass. WIN! Jennifer said it would take a couple of hours and I said please call me because I needed to get to work. Within two hours of me dropping off the car, they were done with it! I told Jennifer I would be there around lunchtime. Picking up the car was easy. I paid by credit card. They also take personal checks and most likely cash. I noticed that they vacuumed up the broken glass pieces when I got into the car too! Overall, the experience was quick and easy. From making the appointment over the phone, to drop-off with glass inspection, and pick-up, everyone was courteous and friendly. And despite having to catch the bus in front of a prison, it wasn't bad. In fact better than catching the bus on Hotel Street! I hope you will never have to experience getting your window smashed, but if you do, please use Ace Auto Glass. They're a local company too! read more

I was frantically looking for an auto glass repair after my car was broken into. 4 other repair places said it would take 1-2 weeks for the glass to come in. It's been very difficult with corona virus outbreak however I managed to set up a drop off for windshield replacement as round 4:15 pm n dropped off my personal car the following morning. They were done in a few hours n notified me of surface rust on the windshield opening. The other weekend my husband & I had just done the safety check inspection for our youngest daughter's car and driving home on the freeway, passing the Aloha Stadium a rock had hit the windshield. I was in and out, but of course I set up an appointment to have a small crack in my windshield repaired. There is only 5 parking stalls, so try to setup something early. The waiting room is tiny but up to 5 seats for the wait, and takes about an hour to service my windshield. The suicide door window on my fj cruiser was shattered. I contacted safelite but they did not have it in stock. I contacted ace as a second and they did have it in stock. Was able to easily get a convenient appointment time that worked for me. The staff were friendly. The repair was done in a relatively quick manner. My only suggestion would be that they have some kind of waiting room. There was no where to sit or wait while the repair was being done. But i managed.
