Not often do you find a true professional and a true Gentleman? Zabi the owner of Ace Auto Repair, is both. When someone talks about a master in his crafts, Zabi is the real deal. I had a really serious oil leak on my BMW, which is located in a nightmare place to replace .it requires hours on top of hours to repair, and many mechanics don't even want to touch BMW due to the complicity of the engine design, the one that does repair BBW, asking for an outrageous prices. when I talked to Zabi about the issue, he said no problem friend, just bring it over. I never used Ace Auto repair before, so I was not sure I can fully trust him since he is a small shop, and not fancy looking. I decided to take a "calculated risk" and gave him my car. what can I say? this guy is a magician. finished the job the same day at a very reasonable low price (not only compared to the BMW dealership) I'm so pleased with Zabi that now I intend to deal only with him on all my family cars. I consider myself very lucky to find Zabi, and I truly recommend to anyone that reads this review, to go take care of their car, at Ace Auto Repair! A+++ read more

Zabi worked on my Gl 450, he did an amazing job servicing my transmission. Quick and clean work.

I recently removed a muffler in one of my cars and the drone got to be too annoying at a certain RPM range. I was making a 500 mile road trip and wanted to swap back to my stock muffler before I started my trip. On Saturday morning, I went to my normal muffler shop but found out they were closed. I quickly opened yelp and found this shop. I called around and shops said they were either too busy to do it right at that moment or they were closed. Luckily, Ace Auto Repair was open and the owner Zabi said he'd be able to help me. When I got there, he was already working on a few cars but he knew my urgency and moved one of his cars to work on my car. Not only did he did the work fast, but I was also missing some nuts/bolts and luckily he had the hardware in a drawer! I was in and out within 30 minutes, went home to pack, and departed for my road trip. He was a life saver! Thanks!! read more

Zabi (the owner of ACE) is fantastic! I normally (and always have) done most if not all my own repairs to my vehicles. Only A/C and transmission work are the two areas where I depend on shops, simply because I don't have the special tools/equipment to work on these. That is, until I brought my Corvette in for a new A/C compressor... After checking with the dealer and one other shop, I read some reviews here on Yelp and decided to bring it over to see what kind of a price I would get - not just the "Oh, it's a Corvette, so it's going to be expensive" kind of answer. ACE/Zabi quoted a price that was less than HALF the dealer price, so I thought I'd give them a try. Not only did he have it done in the time frame quoted, he actually called and told me that he had to pull the water pump (which I knew beforehand as that's the only way to get the compressor out) and wanted to know if I wanted to replace it at the same time. Which was amazing as I was GOING to tell him that anyhow, but had forgot. He also mentioned that one of the belt tensioners was worn causing some squeaking - and yep, I was going to change that out when I had a chance, but he said he would address that as well, along with the serpentine belt. Which kind of SOUNDS like he was bumping up the bill intentionally, but not at all - we both knew that was the right thing to do and I would have done all of them myself anyhow. The amazing thing was that when I went to pick the car up, the price for the water pump, belt tensioner and the belt itself were priced as if I went into the local AutoZone/O'Reillys and purchased them myself! No "dealer markup" on the parts at all. I couldn't believe it as I've had some negative experiences in the past with shops who may quote an initially fair price, but then nickle and dime every little extra... Not so here. So now? Just dropped off my older car that needs new fuel injectors and a few other minor things. Yes, I could do that myself, but my time is valuable too and he's got a REAL shop to do this kind of work in - and can do it cheaper/faster than I could do it myself! I have other things to do right now - my real job. Kind of sounds like I am a "shill" for this company, but not at all. Just great to find a truly honest individual who does fantastic work at a very fair price. This is now the fourth time using him - he installed a new high-performance exhaust system on my Corvette and replaced some ticking lifters in my old Mitsubishi - and now the six new fuel injectors on the same car (it's a 1989 with 160k plus thousand miles on it, but is a fantastic vehicle - and for what little I put into it, it's worth keeping it on the road!). Two months ago my brake pump went out! Ace Auto took care of me as always with great pricing and excellent services. Honestly I felt safe whenever I get in my car after they work on my car. I was looking for a new muffler for an old jeep and wasn't thrilled with the quotes I got from other places. Called Ace, and Zabi told me he had a muffler that may work and to bring it by. Once there, he looked my Jeep over, found a muffler he had in stock that fit my needs, and installed it on the same afternoon. The total cost was a less than others quoted. Not only was it fast service, but the welds on the exhaust system look solid/skilled. The shop is clean and organized. Prices are fair and Zabi is a professional. Very bad customer experience. I asked to put on a stock exhaust and put a new flange on the car. The owner welded an old pipe with a leaking flange and painted the pipe black so that I couldn't tell if it was old or new. The owner explained that he couldn't find a matching flange so he had to weld a new flange to the stock exhaust. I took it as a miscommunication, but giving me an old pipe with a leaking gasket is not acceptable as a miscommunication. The pipe was really old, with tons of rust inside, where the bolt's thread peeled off. Very unhappy with the level of deceit. read more

When I decide and come in he honors his word and does the job the way we tacked about and price quote with a minimum of fuss. I've known them for years and I would go back. After consulting with multiple Volvo mechanics I walked into ACE looking for a solution. Previous shops only wanted to replace parts and not do a specific labor. I explained the problem to Zabi, he made sure we were both on the same page. Two hours later my car was ready and running as I needed. I saved hundreds of dollars and avoided replacing parts. I was so satisfied I brought my wife's car that same afternoon for an alignment. ACE was very honest and thorough. I have never met a nicer, more honest mechanic! Zabi (the owner) is very personable and knowledgeable. I've had my car in his shop several times over the last 2-3 years and every time, he's reliable and honest. Most recently, he diagnosed an oil leak that other mechanics told me would be a huge process just to find the source. I also appreciate that he doesn't pressure me into anything. He consults with me and gives advice, but doesn't tell me anything is necessary unless it actually is. Plus, he works quickly and I'm always happy with the value for the price. He does things right the first time, which I am so grateful for. I live 30-40 mins from Ace, but I refuse to go to another mechanic; he's the best! read more

I went in for a simple oil change and they messed it up somehow. I had to take my car in to the dealer to get it fixed a couple of weeks after and pay another fee to get another oil change. Do not go here for anything! read more

I am horrible at car maintenance. I usually let my boyfriend handle that but he's been slacking. I was taking a trip to Disneyland & remembered I hadn't had an oil change since last June!!! (told you I was horrible) I looked to Yelp for somewhere near work, within walking distance, so I could drop it off & not lose any time. I was really impressed with Ace's reviews. Decided to just come in & see. There is a whole row of auto repair shops around Ace, but I don't think any of them could have done a better job or given better service. Zabi is the best! Not only did he get the job done in a timely manner, he didn't give me a list of things I "had" to fix before my trip like the last place I went or scold me for not getting an oil change sooner (btw, I still haven't fixed those things & I've made that trip several times, my car still runs fine). Not to mention, he charged less than any other shop I've been to! Seriously feel like I've found "The One", in auto repair shops. read more

Very good service and value. I had my exhaust repaired. He did a great job and was very strait forward about what he was doing and how he was charging. Took me out in the shop to explain the problems and get consent before doing anything beyond what I asked. When things did't go as expected, he spent extra time to make it right and didn't try to charge me extra for it. For the amount of work he had to put into it, I felt the price was very reasonable. read more
