Scott's service and knowledge is remarkable. Let me demo four rackets and never once pressured me to buy. But why buy somewhere else? He went to the net, found the cheapest price offered that price to me and I bought. Good man. His place is a little hard to find but well worth the effort! read more

A friend who plays some serious tennis in town told me about this business when I asked him where I could get a good racquet for my teenager. The shop is tucked upstairs in a professional building, so it took a little bit of searching to find it. This turned out to be one of the best retail experiences; the owner encouraged us to take several racquets to try out on the court, which is so much better than guessing what a racquet will be like off the shelf or from the internet. I found out there is quite a lot that goes into good racquet selection, and the owner was very helpful. The result: the whole family now has racquets from his store and we are playing better tennis! We also rented the portable ball machine and had a blast! Get your tennis gear here and support an awesome local business. read more

Established in 2008, Ace Court Equipment and Stringing (ACES) is a community-minded, family business located in Flagstaff, AZ. It is owned and operated by Scott and Jennifer Weber, who have lived in the Flagstaff community since 2002. ACES evolved from a community focus, starting as a home business and evolving into a specialty retail store focused on helping racquet/paddle sport players and enthusiasts.

Meet the Business Owner: Scott W.

What was the inspiration for ACES? ACES founder and president, Scott Weber, recognizes the important role tennis played in his life. He started playing at age 8 in the small farm town of Blue Earth, MN (population 3500). His high school team won two Minnesota State High School Championships and he also experienced the thrill of competing in United States Tennis Association (USTA) junior sanctioned tournaments throughout the Midwest U.S. Lessons learned on and off the court helped him grow and mature in youth and as an adult over a successful 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force, which in turn instilled a deep sense of public service. After retiring from the Air Force and settling into Flagstaff, AZ with his family, Scott began exploring ways to give back to tennis and racquet sports in general. Initiatives have included establishing the Flagstaff Tennis Association, serving on the USTA Northern Arizona District Board of Directors, and...of course...founding ACES.
