For example the doctor told his staff to conduct a CT scan. Never quoted a price. After I was told it cost almost $1000 but that I'd be charged 50% of their earlier lower price (almost $200). And they proceeded to bill my dental insurance the entire nearly $1000 for the imaging (which my insurance denied). I'm scheduled for extraction and implant early next year but when I asked for the cost I was told they need to calculate it and let me know. I'm still waiting 3 weeks later. I like Dr Tassone as a dentist but there have been times from visit to visit that his diagnosis changes. I don't want to change dentists but now getting teeth cleaning elsewhere. I'm aware opinions can change and different dentists offer entirely different treatment options. What I don't appreciate are my dental insurance benefits getting wiped out before I can blink twice. After that I'm on my own and having to decide if want to pay the high rates.

I could have waited. Why didn't they tell me this when I asked?! Then I asked why this was so expensive and they said I'm being billed based on my zip code. Great, so they are overcharging me. Also, I needed to sign a form that I understand my dentist is an independent contractor. So they are like stylists at a hair salon renting a chair there? They have a big sign at the front saying how they were voted best this and best that. I wonder how much they paid for those. No way. I will never use them again and I don't recommend them at all. Liars, cheats and shoddy work. I'm looking elsewhere.

I found them through my insurance's provider website, then called to be sure they take Cigna PPO; they do. My insurance company royally screwed up and tried to say Dr. Lee was not in network. After talking with Jessica, they changed their tune to "Oh actually he is, let's get that re-worked." My only complaint is the $88 charge for "Oral hygiene instructions". I don't think "brush, floss, don't drink sugary drinks" is really $88 advice. If it's the after-care instructions for the gum thing I had done, isn't the after-care instruction just part of the procedure? Why a separate charge?

They were the only dentist office that didn't demand I have a "new patient" appointment first. Instead, they realized I needed *emergency* dentistry. I was able to get an appointment quickly. I was seen by Doctor Sahar Mehr. She quickly assessed the issue and understood that all I really needed was a "reglue". She was very careful and confirmed if there was any sensitivity - surprise! there was, a LOT! She quickly numbed the area, and after a few minutes waiting for the novocaine to take effect, she applied the adhesive and reglued my crown.
