Everything about my first visit was wonderful. I was a little nervous about finding a new dentist after over 20 years with one of the best, but heard about sachi dental from a friend. From there I looked at all the dentists' credentials and was delighted to see that Dr. Chait went to one of the best dental schools in the nation. I'm not always a credential snob, but some bad experiences have made me realize that a baseline of proven excellence is always a good start. All in all, my fears were eased by a fantastic hygienist + another dental assistant and last but not least Dr. Chait who reminds me so much of my niece with her obvious smarts. good sense of humor, and last but not least- love for sports. I Also like that Dr. Chait Is conservative, not in a hurry to do a bunch of work that may not need doing. I could say more, but will refrain from writing an entire thesis here. I have been coming to Sachi dentistry since they took over for my childhood dentist Dr. Adachi. The staff is nice and very helpful. My issue is with the billing department. They sent me a bill from 2020. This is 5 years later! When I inquired with my insurance carrier I was told that the billing department at Sachi billed the wrong department. The billing department was told to resubmit the claim to the correct department within 12 months. Sachi resubmitted the claim 18 months later. So my insurance denied the claim. This is the second time I've had this problem with the billing department. I ended up paying for their mistake the first time but I don't feel like I should pay for their billing errors a second time. read more

Sachin an Co with Dr Peter is the best dentist office I've ever visited. I am 82 an all my years no one even comes close. He's knowledgeable, kind, gentle, funny an any other adjective there is. I have had my teeth cleaned by a few different dental techs and they are all very nice. What I like best is that the office is updated and they seem to use state of the art equipment and methods. Had routine teeth cleaning. Hygenist asked how I was doing and was very professional. Office staff great.

After a mediocre teeth cleaning, I was advised to get several thousand dollars in work, opted for the more pressing crown replacement and a couple of fillings. Copay was over $1k, paid it, then receive another bill weeks later for over $200 despite no surprises during my treatment. To be clear, I walked out of my treatment with a receipt and belief that everything was paid in full, and no expectation of a surprise bill afterwards. Feels like a money grab and/or incompetent quote, with no desire to live up to the quote despite already paying so much out of pocket. Emailed and called, including talking to manager with no follow up aside from receiving the bill again. Here's a tip: have your customer pay what you quote and do proper due diligence when giving the quote. I'll find another dental practice that doesn't have their hand in your pocket after you leave. To make matters worse, I also contracted Covid right after this procedure and it ruined several days of my winter holidays (this was the only place I had gone before getting sick). I have never been to a better dentist! I'm so happy that I found them through Yelp because I had been going to my previous dentist for so many years and didn't want to switch. Everyone from the office staff to the tech to the doctor was amazing!!! Dr. Peter was phenomenal and incredibly knowledgeable. My first appointment with them took 1.5 hours which was totally unexpected and actually refreshing because he didn't rush anything and really took the time to explain things step by step. As with many others, I am not one who writes reviews. However, this is one experience in my life that touched and transformed me deeply. I came to Dr. Sachi to get my back molar fitted for a crown. I felt her kindness, warmth and patience in addressing my concerns and questions. I felt soothed and calm the whole time as I hear her softly hummed to piped music in her amazing singing voice. She was extremely efficient and precise to the point of perfection throughout the whole procedure, which was painless; and so quick that my TMJ didn't even get the chance to flare up! Her assistant, Araceli, was attentive to my needs and she worked in tandem with Dr. Sachi. I was extremely grateful that her clinic is endowed with advanced technology and equipment that I could get my crown fitted within 3 hours. No more gooey stuff in the mouth! Everything is computerized! Dr. Sachi adjusted the crown's bite perfectly, and I mean it, PERFECTLY! I had always thought I had a crooked smile, and with my jaw misaligned, it clicked all the time. She corrected all that with the new crown and bite adjustment. My TMJ has since alleviated, my jaw stopped clicking, the top and bottom set of teeth resting happily on each other, and I got my BALANCED SMILE back, something I never thought was even possible! I just started coming to Sachi Dentistry after leaving the place I was going to in Santa Monica because no one can commute to Santa Monica from Torrance just for the dentist. I had to have a few cavities re-filled after the fillings came out and Dr Tully was quick and efficient with it. He even called later that day to check up on me and I've never had a dentist do that! I recently had all four of my wisdom teeth removed due to the suggestion of Sachi & Co. Dentisty having an in house Oral Surgeon. I was suggested by the dentist during consultation that local anesthesia was enough due to strait roots on my wisdom teeth. I was told by the surgeon and assistant, multiple times, (during the procedure) that they thought I should be under general anesthesia. In fact there was no direct consultation with the surgeon prior to the day of surgery and he was also publicly curious why the X-rays of my mouth were not reviewed more thoroughly prior to surgery (his job). read more

BEWARE!! Dr. Fujita's office is not as it seems... If you ever notice that your dentist recommends goods that only they sell in their office and are pretty pricy, BEWARE! If your dentist recommends services that are unnecessary such as a coating for your teeth but your insurance doesn't cover it, BEWARE! If your dentist recommends a procedure and tells you it is covered by insurance, BEWARE! Because if it isn't, they will try and make you pay anyway. Finally, if you notice that they only have 5 star reviews, beware because everyone has issues, and check the "Not recommended reviews " section. Dr Fujita is nice. I like she explained in Japanese pretty well. The explanation was understandable and help me to what I have to done. However the staff was tooooo aggressive to sale to me. She asked me to do deep cleaning, whitening, and even orthodontics! I contacted several dental offices in the area, and I was told that they didn't have any same day appointments available. Needed to make a new crown looking for a good dentist with a decent pricing so a first time Tried their special deal with cleaning and X-rays checkups have disappointed I did not get a full cleanings wish they told me prior so I knew, also consulted about upgrading my condition and got the estimates was so so but requested to email my info and they never have which was months ago. I have few implants and very conscious about cleanings too bad I did not like who did me because she was too rough compared to my usual hygienist at my implant doctor. This place seems run by many girl stuffs looks a lots going on with so many people in this roomy office I did not meet Dr.Sachi but the other lady Dr. seemed very fine, I did not get any treatment so can't say if she's good in technique or stability and confidence. I guess little less than $200 for checkups with X-ray and less 30 minutes cleaning was okay without insurance. So far there's no impacts to make me go back there earnestly from who's going to many many good and bad dentist for 60 years. read more

I have been hesitant to write a negative review of Sachi & Co. I have been a patient at Sachi for two plus years and came in for a general cleaning cleaning in June. Prior to this visit my cleaning and screenings were routine and uneventful. I came to Yelp to warn others of the following: Please note that I am not commenting on Dentist or Specialist quality or expertise. First warning: At the end of the cleaning I was pressured into accepting an unneeded laser treatment for $156.00. I had more serious issues and laser wasn't going to have any lasting effects on my condition. I was referred correctly to a Periodontist. Number 2: Sachi's Periodontist is contracted and may not be in your insurance network. I was asked to agree to a certain payment (consultation fee) prior to insurance verification and discovered that insurance only covered a small fraction of consultation fee and $3,000 procedure. I was forced to leave Sachi and find another periodontist. Very frustrating! If you like Sachi, no problem, but for those asked to use in house Periodontist please take note. read more
