The doctors there may always busy, but they always have time if someone is asking them. Their Nurses and Nursing Attendants are always leaving a good impression that impacted the patients lives. It is a large medical facility. There were a bunch of people streaming in and out. I walked right up to information and the lady there assisted me in finding a pediatrician for walk ins. Less than 30 mins later I was having a consult with the doctor. We paid the doctor directly after the visit and left with a prescription and peace of mind. If only it were that easy back home. The facility itself needs an overhaul. Very dated interior. I shudder to think about their surgical facilities and such.

I've been a long time customer of the Belo Greenbelt branch, but recently, I don't know what…read morehappened. Because every time I go there, or every time I try to book a session, they're always full. Not to mention that they close so early! So after being rebuffed for the nth time, I decided to go to the nearest Belo branch-- the one in Amorsolo. (Although it is farther than Greenbelt from my office, I found that they are within walking distance as well.) While smaller than the Greenbelt branch, I find that I like the Belo branch in Medical Plaza better, just because of their people. Their receptionists are less frazzled by the number of customers, and are actually super helpful when I first went there. (I even availed of the Belo Membership card because of them!) My facial technician was very light handed (as compared to the ones in the Greenbelt , where I am always reduced to gross tears and sobbing especially when it comes to the extraction and multiple injections for steroids) and very emphatic about the pain. All in all, a pleasant experience (if you count coming away bloodied and sore pleasant. The things women do for clear skin.)

Two reasons I like this hospital:…read more One of the best dermatologists in Manila, Dr. Eileen Cubillan, holds clinics here, and two, our family has experienced good care in this hospital, many thanks also to Dr. Carlo Canosa, a surgeon and family friend. My use of the word "like" to describe a hospital is remarkable in itself, because generally I cannot say that I like hospitals. I mean, who does? But, I had my first-hand experience being confined here last year when I came down with dengue. I got myself a double room. It's cheaper because it's meant for sharing, but it's roomier than a single room, and I requested that they put me in one that's unoccupied, so it still feels like I have the room all to myself. Unfortunately, I got myself a roommate the day after because there was an inexplicable surge in dengue cases that day. Good thing my roomie found a room the following day, because a day later, my brother would join me. I needed transfusion, and in this hospital, if you can provide enough qualified donors, you won't be charged for the blood anymore, whereas other hospitals would charge you for the sourcing of the donors plus the processing of the blood (extraction of the platelet). Also, the food is not bad. In fact, the food is quite edible. They even give you your own personal utensils. I found out that MCM recently transferred ownership and was undergoing renovations, which explained the nicer facade and new wing. It's a given that hospitals are unpleasant places, but MCM is definitely one of my choices for good medical care for its patients.
