Jim saw the flooring underneath had rotted due to over watering of the previous owners plants and fixed it all. He is meticulous. We bought close to 30 boxes and he inspected each board for defects. It turns out four boxes had defects. We were able to exchange them and finish the job. If you want perfection, call this guy. He was fastidious and his workmanship was impressive. He is so knowledgeable about flooring he PRECISELY matched the existing entrance way with the type of wood we needed. This guy knows floors! He gave me a quote for demo and installation (I'd say in the middle range of all the quotes I was able to get) and he helped me pick out the flooring. We had carpet in the bedrooms (which I swear had stuff growing in it, it was so disgusting) and we had poor quality/cheap engineered hardwood in the living areas. JP tore out the carpet and old hardwood and replaced it all with a very good quality engineered hardwood. I went with an engineered hardwood made by Mirage Floors, Carousel finish, wide planks, a pretty thick top layer which means it should last a while and can be refinished a few times, and I love it so much. It looks so amazing and professionally done. JP also installed a cork underlayment for soundproofing, and I think it also evens out the floor and makes it softer/more comfortable to walk on. Every step of the way Johnny was helpful, kind and responsive. I have two condos in the South Loop (in the same building) and our building association can be pretty demanding when it comes to remodeling projects. A lot of paperwork, back and forth, and hoops to jump through. Johnny was cool as a cucumber the whole time, answered the association's questions and we met all the requirements before starting the project. Johnny and I agreed on a start date, he told me how long it would take, and he and his crew totally nailed it. They worked so, so hard. They showed up every day at 7am and worked until 5pm. Johnny said our 3-bedroom condo would take 7 days, and he said our 1-bedroom condo would take 3 days, and that's exactly how long it took. I also have to mention Johnny's brother, Danny, who was just fantastic. He was a big part of the process, too, and he made sure everything was done right. Like Johnny, Danny was so level-headed, kind, and incredibly hard-working. Highly recommend!

She needed someone to repair the repair if you will. A friend recommended Radu Maxin of AR Flooring. He came over, provided a free estimate and completed the work several days later! When we met Radu, he appeared to be professional and a man of integrity that would take pride in his work. He proved my friend and I correct in our assessment. He arrived to complete the job on time, he and his associate remained professional the entire time of the project and they completed the job on schedule. Not to mention, the floors look amazing! One business told my friend the floors needed to be replaced and it would cost $13,800! Another estimate was $12,000. Radu repaired the floors for $650!
