I went to the store on two occasions. They took my information and address and never showed up, not even a call explaining why.

Ace used to be my garage door repair company but not any more! I called for service last year to have the springs replaced on my current 15 year old garage door. I ended up purchasing a new motor as well since my old one was noisy and I figured preventing a future breakdown was a good idea. WRONG! The technician sold me a cheaply made , low end unit that was noisier than the one I had ....and to add insult to injury , installed springs that weren't the appropriate size for my door. I called for service when the door broke a year a few weeks ago and the technician doesn't show up after the office called to confirm the appointment. And he had the nerve to tell his company that he had made the service call - an outright lie which explains why they didn't call me to apologize and reschedule . When he comes a week later he's just full of crap - and apparently he's their ONLY person who goes out on calls. Money thrown away . I called another local company with good reviews on Yelp and they who sold me a quiet unit that has great technology features and replaced the springs with larger ones. My garage door now works great ! I'm really dissatisfied with Ace Garage Door and do not recommend them . Maybe years ago they had better employees but certainly not now. read more

We broke our garage door at 8 in the evening, it wouldn't close. We left a message at Ace and we had a call back 7:30 am. Someone arrived by 10 and a new door was installed by 3. You would not have known anyone was there, clean up was great. Highly recommend. Susan T Valley Stream read more

I would give them no stars if I could. They are extremely difficult & rude. They nearly ordered the wrong door & then it took forever to be installed. My garage door is 6 months old & today it came crashing down. They are giving me a hard time about sending someone to look at it (the woman on the phone laughed at me). Within the first 2 minutes of the conversation, she told me it absolutely can't be an installation defect, which makes me think they've had complaints before. Thank goodness my children weren't playing near the garage! read more
