Rick, Mike and Chase came out and replaced the wheels on my sliding glass door for under $500. They were fast, courteous and HONEST. I had another company come out who said it would be impossible to repair the door and tried to pressure me to pay for a new sliding door for $5,300. So, I saved more than 90% and will, of course, take all my future needs to their company. read more

My insurance company recommended Ace Glass for my windshield replacement. After having trouble with the installation and glass quality I called to have another glass installed. The young lady I spoke with was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in customer service. She continually spoke over me and interrupted me. She even muttered foul language. They also did not aim my cars camera for safety systems, which is required by the manufacturer. I would never recommend them after my very poor experience. Avoid at all cost. read more

I don't begrudge a company charging a premium to do a good job, but there is a difference between making an honest living and taking advantage of people. Ace tried to charge me $220 to replace a 2 sq. ft. window pane. I did it myself for $10, including buying the glass, cut at Lowe's. It took me less than 10 minutes. What on earth was going to cost so much to have Ace install it? I could have replaced the whole window for $200. If the job wasn't worth your time, you should have just said so, instead of sticking it to me and hoping I lack the sense to question it. read more

Highly recommended. I had used them for a prior need. They were most kind and everyone helpful. A second more complicated need arose. But they had to return to fix the glass that was too large. They trimmed the piece but it still does not fit. Unfortunately they are not returning my to fix the still miss sized glass. Disappointed. Still awaiting a call back. read more

Worst customer service I've ever encountered. Do not waste your time, money, or energy on this disorganized, unprepared, unhelpful business. Details below... Ordering/Install Problems: I contacted Ace Glass in February 2019 to install a doggie door in my glass patio door and was told this could be accomplished in 2 weeks: 1 week for a new piece of glass to be ordered, 1 week for the doggie door to be fitted in the new glass, and 1 day of installation. 4 weeks after I'd paid a $250 deposit, dropped off the doggie door, and made 2 phone calls asking about the status of the new glass order, an installation date was finally set, although 3 weeks later than promised. The technicians were late for the install, had not fit the dog door in the new glass like planned, and did not have the right tools to remove wooden frames from original glass. The techs didn't even know where the dog door was (still at the shop) and did not finish the job that day like planned. Ace Glass did not contact me to finish the install. After a few days without hearing from them, I contacted them. Again, the techs were hours late for the 2nd appointment, and had not measured and cut the wood framing to be put on the new glass like planned. Once again, they could not finish the job that day. Just like the 2nd time, techs promised that the scheduler would reach out to me to schedule a final work day. She did not, and I had to reach out to Ace Glass for a 3rd time to get the 3rd work day scheduled. This time I spoke to Lauren, an owner, to describe my frustration with the whole process. She assured me the techs would be on time for the final work day. They were not - they were hours late again. Instead of 2 weeks of ordering and 1 install date, this process took 7 weeks and 3 install days. Refusal to Return Materials to Owner: I told the techs on each work date (3 days) that I wanted to keep the original piece of glass from the door. It's worth $300+ and gives the future home buyer the option to replace the dog door. The techs said they would drop this off the next day (3/19), or the following week. They did not return the glass the next day or the following week. I called Ace Glass on the following dates requesting to have that glass returned to me with the following actions: Tue 3/26 - was told someone would call tech a/b glass and call me back; nobody returned my call Thur 3/28- was told someone would call tech a/b glass and return my call; nobody returned my call Fri 3/29 - was told the scheduler had my order # and would call to schedule a glass return date - she never called Tue 4/2 - spoke to owner (Lauren) again and she scheduled a time the next day for glass to be returned - nobody showed up or called me on Wed 4/3. Thur 4/4 - was told someone was looking into the situation and would call me back; nobody called me back Thur 4/11 - was told the tech has the glass and someone will call me to return it; nobody has called by 4/16. Lack of Service: From the start, Ace Glass has shown a complete lack of customer service. The customer should not have to continuously follow up with the business to remind them to complete orders, schedule install dates, and return materials. Ace Glass never initiated communication with me, I had to call them numerous time to get any answers or action to take place. Even 3 months after paying my deposit, I'm still waiting for service to be completed. This business is completely unorganized and constantly unprepared for their jobs. The employees regularly shift the blame of these issues onto their colleagues. I wish I had never wasted my time, money, and energy on Ace Glass and will never use them or recommend them to anyone. read more

Horrible place! Contractors BEWARE! They over charge for sh.ty work and won't fully fix issues when asked. Windows were literally shaking inside the frame after a week with them. The manager/owner slapped some silicone on it and told me not to touch for a few hours. After paying over $100+ for it. Frames were uneven and won't even fit back in the window frame after about 10 days with them. Customer service is rude and very impatient. Owner doesn't care much about anything but the money. Got 3 windows repaired and had to keep taking 2 of them back and letting them "fix" it over night. About 14 days now and Windows still aren't fixed. Paid over $400 for extremely mediocre work. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE. read more

We had an awful experience trying to obtain a glass top for our formal dining table. The employees who came to take measurements dropped their measuring tape on the table surface, creating a scuff/ding. While trying to trace the outline of the table they used the side of a pencil which created damage around the perimeter of the table- making it rough while causing discoloration. When we complained to the office, at first they said they would try to send someone out to take a look. It took months of following up and calling persistently to get somebody out to our home. The inspector who examined our table said that there was significant damage which would be expensive to repair. When we communicated this information to Ace Glass Co., they immediately refused to take any responsibility for the damage and denied any sort of compensation or repair to our table. Definitely DO NOT recommend this business to anyone. It's a shame that we have these corrupt businesses in our area. read more

The people they send for installation are nice and the people in the office are always nice to the customers as well. However, ACE is extremely unpunctual. This is my second time calling them, and both times they gave me a time frame of anywhere between 1-4p, yet both times they haven't showed up until closer to 4:30/5 pm range. As a student I had to miss classes to ensure that someone was home, when they came after the allotted time, which I found to be very disrespectful to my time. I would choose other places for this service but unfortunately Ace is the only one available for what I needed. read more

I have used Ace Glass two times now, one for a shower door in my home and I just had them replace a broken window at my rental home. They have good pricing and show up promptly and do a great job. Everyone I dealt with whether on the phone or in person has been so polite, professional and did what they said they would do and good pricing. I will use them again. read more

Really displeased with the experience. Being relatively new to the area are used Google to find a vendor that could cut a piece of glass for my breakfast table. I called and was greeted by A extremely nice lady who was very helpful. I told her the dimensions I needed and that I would like it delivered. She told me that it would be advantageous for me to use her Irmo store for delivery purposes. She gave me the number and contact information. I contacted the gentleman and gave him the dimensions, paid him in full and asked when they could deliver it. He told me it would be sometime next week and it would be $150 delivery charge. I thought that was crazy excessive since we only lived minutes away and did not need it installed. I told him we would pick it up. He sent me a receipt and told me it would be done tomorrow but he couldn't get it to the Irmo location until next week because they did not have transportation. I told him that I would drive to the two Notch store and pick it up myself. I went there this morning and picked it up. I drove it back and attempted to install it. It was cut 8 inch and a half short. I called the store and told them that it was cut incorrectly but due to the difficulty picking it up and getting it into the house I would keep it and trim out the gaps but I wanted them to be aware of the mistake. Later after realizing the difficulty of trimming it out I called them to see if it were possible to make a small piece that would fill the gap. They told me they could but they would charge me nine dollars for it. I told them that I wasn't going to be paying the nine dollars because it was their fault and they had inconvenienced me on top of being negligent. They passed me to the manager Caroline who told me that because I did not keep The email correspondence it was my fault. I told her that people trying to get something for free are usually asking for something. I initially was asking for nothing but to be heard. It just amazes me that they would be so willing to offend me over nine dollars when they just sold me a $225 product and inconvenienced me by making me drive to the other side of town because their location on my side of town didn't have transportation to pick up the glass. Needless to say I will live and learn but never do business with this company again. It's a shame because the experience started out very good with the lady that originally answered the phone. I wish I had kept her name. If this is the way they do business over nine dollars I can only imagine what they would do in a situation where the numbers are substantial. Incompetent, dishonest, and rude. I told them that I needed a sliding glass door replaced. Someone came out to measure, and I was sent an estimate to replace only one side of the sliding glass door. Someone else had to come out to remeasure. All of this took a week. I then paid 1/2 the cost up front so that they could order the correct replacement door and was told that it would take 2 weeks to come in. After three weeks I called to find out the status of the order. The employee said that she would look it up and give me a call back. She never called back. Three days later, I inquired again. They kept me on hold for 20 minutes while they looked into it. Then I was told that it would be another 2 weeks before the order would come in. When I objected that that would be 5 weeks waiting for a standard size door and asked why it would take so much longer than originally promised, the employee got rude. I cancelled the order, got my money back, and hope never to have to deal with this firm again. They wasted four weeks of my time and care nothing about customer service. read more
