When I got back home and pulled into my driveway I heard a power washer being used, one of my neighbors was having their sidewalk power washed. Now that's what I call a coincidence! I took it as a sign from above (someone is looking out for me) so I walked down to the house they were working on. I met Joe and his son Little Joe, they quoted me a reasonable price and said they could stop by after finishing the job they were working on. Before I knew it my sidewalk was clean and looking new. It took hardly no time to do the job (3 men doing the job) where I know it would have taken me half a day doing it myself. They did a very good job and the bonus was they didn't need to use my water or electrical outlets. I highly recommend them.

It's rare to find someone who would rather help you for free over the phone than to have you spend money if possible. That speaks volumes about Chris. He is very knowledgeable about the structure of your home being a contractor. He is highly skilled, very friendly and very reasonable. Found this place on facebook, Joe responded immediately on facebook messenger and got the details needed from me. He made suggestions on what kind of sealant to use for the deck. He mentioned that they were booked for the season. By this time, I was impressed with the prompt communication and their service, I have decided to go with them and wanted to wait for their next available appointment. Joe responded after a few days saying that an availability opened up and should be able to wash my deck in a couple of weeks. He kept me informed the whole time. I was given all the instructions and what to expect before their visit. On the scheduled date, their crew came and power washed the deck thoroughly. Next day, they promptly showed up and stained it. Also, they were to power wash my deck and seal it. The windows needed special attention because spiders build webs in the windows then poop all over them. It's really gross, and I especially hired Grime Busters to take care of this problem. I specified this as the reason I was getting my house pressure washed. As such, I was told to remove all of my window screens to ensure the best results. So when they were finished, imagine my anger when I looked in my upstairs window and it looked as if water hadn't touched the window at all. OK. We all make careless mistakes. I called and someone came back out to inspect the job of the previous person. Agreed they didn't do a good job, but he didn't come back with a pressure washer to fix the problem! He asked me to use my pressure washer...uhh, WHAT? That's not all. The original washer also left whole areas of my deck unwashed then sealed over them. You could look and tell the angle he washed the stairs and balusters - imagine the sun casting a shadow is the best way I can describe it. So of course when he sealed the deck, whole areas of the deck didn't get sealed, because they weren't washed properly. I was also told the seal would last (assuming proper washing, of course) for 3-5 years. Even on the areas I felt were properly washed, rain water stopped beading on the deck within weeks. The last thing is they were to restain my white deck railings, and they did this, but sloppily. I have white wood railings on white (pvc? plastic-like) balusters. The white stain for the wood can be seen on the plastic -like balusters. In all, while I appreciated their attitude and they were very respectful, I paid $2500 to have a job done well and it was not. And returning without the equipment to correct the problem was pretty inexcusable.

Julie Smith was wonderful in taking my initial call by listening to my problem and quickly identifying the best way to get me taken care of quickly. She put me in touch with their project manager, Maurice, who I've worked with before and he was at my house within 2 hours to assess the situation. He identified an action plan a set up a team to come out the next morning to install a new high grade sump pump with battery backup pump. Marcus and his team arrived the next morning as scheduled and completed the job in timely fashion ensuring I was satisfied. They did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. Total job was $1,800 to install high end professional grade PitBoss sump pump (not available via retail). They were horrible an incompetent the whole way through. They made me feel like a bad person for wanting things like the floor leveled first because it wasn't ready for tile and even I knew that. Initially, they brought over this really mismatched rainbow slate I wasn't expecting that was crumbling apart and most of the tiles were broken...had to wait for normal color slate for weeks longer...what a pain and so rude. This was a job for replacement of old siding on an old house. I got a recommendation from another contractor and gave them a try for a competitive bid. Their bid was in line with others, and Tyler, their representative was very helpful, quick to respond, and just a polite and gracious person. This was the first time I had had to carry out a siding project and I had a lot of questions (and changed my mind a bit too... he did not get annoyed, thank you Tyler!). The contract and approval were online, which I appreciate. The work was scheduled and done in four days, and the work is excellent. Tyler checked in with me twice a day to see how things were going. He made suggestions and incorporated my ideas as the job was going on. One reviewer here complained about the person answering the phone and I have to agree, she is not the best (in 2023), but I never had to deal with her after the first call. This is a great contractor.

I decided I was going to contract this work out and I found Alpha Plumbing on Yelp. Alpha was able to come out quickly and assess the work to be done and they subsequently provided me the quote. My job required a total of three trips to the house - the first for the assessment, the second for the rough-in and the third for the final plumbing hookup. All three appointments were easy to schedule and the plumber, Brian, was on time, professional, transparent and respectful of me and my home. Brian would notify me when he was on his way and wore a mask while in my house. He was very efficient with his efforts and effectively communicated what he was going to do and how long he expected it to take. The project tuned out terrific! Shout out to Bob too! Coincidentally, the day after my wet bar job was complete I had a non-related plumbing issue and Alpha Plumbing quickly dispatched a plumber to my house which had four gurgling, bubbling, spewing and "geysering" toilets making a mess of the bathroom. (Turns out the county failed to notify my community of their plans to violently flush the sewer lines.) Once again the plumber, Liam, was super friendly, respectful and knowledgeable and called me when he was on his way. My experience with Alpha Plumbing was wonderful! During the course of my project and fake-emergency I communicated with John, Lorraine, Liam, Brian and Bob and everyone was so incredibly awesome and exemplary in their execution.
