Found this place on facebook, Joe responded immediately on facebook messenger and got the details needed from me. He made suggestions on what kind of sealant to use for the deck. He mentioned that they were booked for the season. By this time, I was impressed with the prompt communication and their service, I have decided to go with them and wanted to wait for their next available appointment. Joe responded after a few days saying that an availability opened up and should be able to wash my deck in a couple of weeks. He kept me informed the whole time. I was given all the instructions and what to expect before their visit. On the scheduled date, their crew came and power washed the deck thoroughly. Next day, they promptly showed up and stained it. I'm glad George had a pleasant experience, but I did not, and would not recommend them. I hired Grime Busters to power wash my house, with special attention to all of the windows. Also, they were to power wash my deck and seal it. The windows needed special attention because spiders build webs in the windows then poop all over them. It's really gross, and I especially hired Grime Busters to take care of this problem. I specified this as the reason I was getting my house pressure washed. As such, I was told to remove all of my window screens to ensure the best results. So when they were finished, imagine my anger when I looked in my upstairs window and it looked as if water hadn't touched the window at all. OK. We all make careless mistakes. I called and someone came back out to inspect the job of the previous person. Agreed they didn't do a good job, but he didn't come back with a pressure washer to fix the problem! He asked me to use my pressure washer...uhh, WHAT? That's not all. The original washer also left whole areas of my deck unwashed then sealed over them. You could look and tell the angle he washed the stairs and balusters - imagine the sun casting a shadow is the best way I can describe it. So of course when he sealed the deck, whole areas of the deck didn't get sealed, because they weren't washed properly. I was also told the seal would last (assuming proper washing, of course) for 3-5 years. Even on the areas I felt were properly washed, rain water stopped beading on the deck within weeks. The last thing is they were to restain my white deck railings, and they did this, but sloppily. I have white wood railings on white (pvc? plastic-like) balusters. The white stain for the wood can be seen on the plastic -like balusters. In all, while I appreciated their attitude and they were very respectful, I paid $2500 to have a job done well and it was not. And returning without the equipment to correct the problem was pretty inexcusable. read more

These guys are fantastic! We own a rental house in Clarksville, MD, but live in California. We usually have our rental agency take care of maintenance, but once in a while they quote us a price that seems out of line, and then we'll search to find someone who can do the work at a reasonable price. I always dread that, as it is usually a huge hassle to try to find reliable people from such a long distance. But Joe made it easy for us---very professional at every step, and he even sent us before-and-after pictures. We saved hundreds of dollars and I still cannot believe how much better the deck looks (the house looks great too). Even the rental agency was impressed. I contracted Grime Busters to power wash my house (in the attempt to buy me another year from painting) and they were extremely professional. The technician showed up on time, and I explained the work to be completed. He was polite and worked quickly, doing a thorough job. I would use this service again and had referred them to several of my neighbors. I was surprised by how much dirt and pollen could accumulate on a house. We had our gutters replaced a year ago. Service was efficient and they came on time. No problems at all, until we mistakenly thought a bird had gotten under our gutter guards so we called Joe. He reassured us that it was pretty much impossible for a bird to get under the guards and even squeezed us in for an emergency call the following day. Excellent product and superior service. Beware if you live in the city or have close neighbors. I had my rowhome and deck pressure washed and deck painted. The owner sent only 1 worked to complete the job. It was a little windy outside and a 2nd person could have helped with paint sprayer control. As the painted the deck, some over spray got on both neighbors houses and one of my neighbors cars (which is brand new). I called the owner and explained the problems and he did nothing to assist in resolving the problem. He placed blame on the the 1 man crew size on how other large projects he had/how busy he was. No offer to come himself/send additional help/project discount. -I spent 3 hours detailing her car to remove the paint flecks. -I had to help and provide direction on spots that needed to be cleaned off my neighbors houses. Final Product after cleaning looks decent. Employee who did project was professional and worked hard. read more

They didn't not wash the second story of my house. The tech said they can clean it without a ladder. This impossible in the front because I have a porch with a roof over top. The porch still looked dirty after it was sprayed. I went out and could wipe dirt off with my hand. I then went out with a scrub brush to remove more dirt. After the tech left, I sprayed some mold and fungus cleaner I bought from Home Depot and the dirt came right off. I contacted Joe about the tech and questioned him about their cleaning solution which I thought would be better than store bought. He responded but never addressed that questioned and never responded to my texts or calls. Poor service and quality of work. read more

POOR QUALITY & LACK BUSINESS INTEGRITY !! On the surface seemed like a great company .. deck looked great after completion (super clean, water beading, etc.) - spent $400+ which included a "2-year guarantee" .. THEN after 1 year our deck was back to it's old look (dirty, no water beading) .. we contacted the owner Joe LeBrun hoping to have the company make good on their guarantee .. however, his only suggestion was to spend another $200 and he would guarantee the "new" work for a period of 1 yr. .. why would I throw good money after bad ?? .. Definitely would NOT recommend this contractor - and I can honestly say this is the first time I have EVER taken to the internet to write a review .. I hope this helps read more

These guys did a superb job for me. The stucco home I just moved into had patches of black mold and green mold that had been left on there for a long time. The HOA was on my back. I called Grimebusters and Joe gave me a great deal, throwing in the floor of my roof deck, and had his crew out the following Monday (I called on Friday). The crew showed up on time and were super friendly. The outside water supply in my house had been shut off by the previous owners and Grimebusters went above and beyond to find a solution so that the could still clean my house. They did a great job and the home exterior is sparkling now. Great conversation with the owner to book the estimate and even the estimator promised the world. Felt super confident booking the work. Well you know what they say about if it sounds to good to be true...Disappointed since all the reviews seemed to show such miraculous service. One person showed up to do a very large job, it was extremely hot outside and while this guy really seemed to bust his butt, the fatigue and single pair of eyes effected the overall quality of the job. A second person would have been able to point out the few missed spots and allowed it to be fixed immediately. A major disappointment is the bottom of the deck. We were told it wasn't cleaned because it wasn't part of the original quote and it is an additional charge of almost $200. So now there is a clean patio that looks up to a green underside deck. Strange thing is where the solution dripped from the surface of the deck being treated, it looks like fresh wood. Just seemed as though there was a lot of double talk. Poor phone customer service! I sent an email through their website to get a quote. I requested that they not call me but send me the quote by email. My husband is elderly and sick. He naps throughout the day and the phone wakes him up. After thinking about it I decided to call and get the quote since it would be easier. I called the next day and spoke with Joe. All I said to him was that I submitted the online request for a quote. He asked me when and I told him just yesterday. He looked it up and from there his tone changed. He said in a really defensive manner you didn't want us to call you so we didn't. I wasn't calling to be critical about them not contacting me. I was just calling to get a quote. I guess he was mad that I didn't want a call back and it was less than 48 hours. I explained my situation with my husband, but he didn't seem to care. He went off by saying that they can't email people because they are too busy. I told him I understood that (after he interrupted me several times). I told him a short email requesting that I call them would have been nice. He said he's working 18 hours a day and it would be at least 3 days before anyone would have called me. The work would be at least three weeks out. The tone of his voice was rude and he acted like he didn't want or need my business because they were already too busy. I only hope no one speaks to his mother, sister or whomever that way. I decided not to proceed even though they have other good reviews. I was afraid the other employees would be the same. read more

What luck! My power washer guy actually stupid me up at an appointment and I saw this company's van in my neighborhood an hour later so I called. They were able to start my project as soon as they were done the other job that same day and came back on time the next day to finish it. And it was really a great job. I had a absolutely horrible experience with Grime Busters and would not recommend them at all. First they burned through all of my upstairs screens in the back. They shattered my fireplace vent, their ladder messed up a piece of my roof, and the siding of my house and gutters just didn't look that good. I was never informed of the damage but found it when I came home. The person that we talked with on the phone quickly blamed one of the other guys and then has the nerve to ask me if I would split the cost of the new screens. read more

I would not recommend this company at all. The worker who came to power wash and stain my deck was very unprofessional. He was late to arrive, then stayed on his cell phone the entire time he was working. He stayed till late to finish the job but left areas of the deck unstained. I contracted for a deck wash and stain as well as gutter cleaning nad back of home power washing. Although the deck was stained well, the crew on my job got lots of stain on concrete patio, outside planters, grill covers and some spray on the siding. I also learned after the next rain that the back gutter was also not cleaned. They had to return 2 times to try and clean the stain off the areas but some still remains today. Also disappointed that owner never came to home to review the work but actually pushed back at first informing me that I should have reviewed the work sooner and that he had his best person on this job and could not believe what I was telling him about the por job.
