I was quoted a good price and the appointment was arranged. The property is a unit I was preparing to rent and I was out of town, so a friend let the workers in. They were instructed to call him so he could view the work before they left. The worker called me and said the work was done. He sent me a picture after he left and after he returned the keys. He took the bathroom hardware off the wall for the repair and failed to put it back on. I contacted Roger and he informed me that the pipe for the faucet was too short. I don't know why the worker would tell me "it's all done," when it obviously wasn't. Roger said he would have to send someone else out on another day and he would have to charge me a callout fee - to complete the work his staff failed to finish. As I had a tenant moving in the next week, I had no choice. On the second appointment, a different worker said "it's all done," but he is the one person in North America with a cell phone that doesn't take photos. Roger's tone via text message after both visits was not an example of excellent customer service. He did not offer any assurance that everything was as it should be or apologize that his staff failed to complete the work properly the first time. In April, 2017, my tenant contacted the property manager to inform him that the faucet had become completely detached from the wall and pipe. The property manager left a voicemail for Roger, but he never called back. I called the next day and my call went to voicemail as well. The greeting stated that Roger would be out of town from the following day. Unfortunately, before he went out of town, he never returned my or the property manager's call. We had to hire another contractor to fix the inadequate work done by the Grove Handyman staff. I emailed Roger and explained the situation and provided him with a copy of the charges incurred to fix the faucet again as well as a photo. Roger refused to compensate me because he thought the charge of $260 was too high and because he didn't see it himself. This entire situation has been completely unacceptable. The original job was not completed. I was charged additional fees to complete the job on a second visit. The work performed was not done correctly and only lasted 4 months. And I was not compensated or refunded for having to hire another company. I strongly advise against hiring "The Grove Handyman" for any work. The company is a typical South Florida contractor that does shoddy work, doesn't communicate properly and doesn't stand behind their work.

Needing just a few house repairs, I called upon his services to patch up some…read moreholes, fix some leaks, etc. After deciding he was a nice and honest guy with top notch service, I explained that I'd soon be moving to Brazil and I'd likely need someone I could call on a dime in case my tenant needed a handy man. As expected, I called Roger a year later (from Brazil) and had him head to the townhouse to fix some plumbing and help with some painting. He even brought in an electrician to handle a light issue. I paid him after his work via PayPal. He's been quick to respond every time and continues to deliver in terms of service, quality and honesty. Good dude, good work!

After the carpet removal I discovered numerous saggy areas in the subfloor (Lennar and their subcontractors used low quality subfloor wood) that Dolphin's crew was not capable of fixing. I halted the job and got in contact with Yunior, who came over to give an estimate and I hired him. Yunior and his assistant were on time and replaced about a dozen subfloor panels in a single day! Very satisfied with the price, quality of workmanship, and prompt service. Highly recommend.

This vendor seems to have excellent reviews and they probably do excellent work. My review is 100% related to communication and engagement when reaching out for a quote for services. Without getting in to the details, I reached out to them, provided pictures informed them of the work I needed done (which was not a lot by the way) and was told they would get back to me. Full disclosure they did tell me they had to check their schedule as they had quite a bit of work that week. I told them it would be fine as I was in no rush. Trying to be fair and transparent here. Well they never did and I reached out a second time to see what was going on with no response. Only thing I can think is that my job was so small, it was of no interest to them so they never got back to me. Really not an issue if that is the case (I understand) but I would have appreciated them telling me that was the case if they were busy with other projects and did not have time to assist me. So I suspect they can get the job done based on other reviews (which is why I reached out) but it may take a little elbow grease on your part to actually get a quote from them if you have a very small job. During the initial consultation, I was chatting with the assistant and he confirmed that not only could they reface my kitchen cabinets... they would love to help me replace my antiquated carpet for updated vinyl flooring. The quote for cabinets AND new floors was basically the same amount that the national cabinet chain had quoted me for just the kitchen?? They were very accommodating with creating invoices that my HOA would greenlight, and met the requirements for soundproofing my second floor unit. The technicians kept updated on all processes from consultant to appointment. The owner met with me the day before to aussage my concerns about what I needed to move or not move , to accommodate the process . I didn't want to create any unnecessary movements or furniture displacement for my technician!! They checked in with me via text throughout each day and sent video at the end of each session to communicate on the progress! They finished my 2BR condo in less than 3 days! It started out with Brian calling me on February 18th at 9 am making an appointment to come see the job and give me an onsite estimate. I took the rest of the day off and waited for them, but they never came. At the very end of the day Brian texted me to say that he couldn't get there. This cost me half a days loss of income. At around 5:30 pm same day he texted again, saying he would do the job for $500 without seeing the job personally, because he had enough information from the initial pictures I provided. However ,the next day he asked me to compose a video with detailed spoken instruction of what I wanted done. More time wasted and extremely aggravating because I then had to edit the video for over an hour just to be able to send it via text message because apparently the video was too long to be able to send. After all this he retracted his $500 estimate He instructed me to go ahead and do it with someone else. It should be noted that Brian was polite and well spoken but regrettably this interaction wasted my time and fell far short of my expectations. My belief is that it had more to do with the owner Augustin, who was disengaged in this communication and seemed to change his mind several times. Very unfortunate and Not the way to get my business. I found Dennis on here/Yelp, reached out to get a quote & had someone let him in while he had me on the phone. I took a leap of faith & sent with him - he's now officially done & I can happily say I'm incredibly happy with the quality & integrity of the outcome. Important to note here too - I was very involved daily even though I wasn't there & he had an admin type that kept in touch with me via text & pics daily which I greatly appreciated since I WFH & don't have time to chat on phone; always on a conference call. I prefer it this way so both parties have something to reference back to & no more "I thought u said" convos. Also, they were setup w/venmo cause who the heck does things via check or cash anymore?! To me that's just downright shady not to mention inconvenient. I had a friend that ended up flying down there & staying in apt while he was working to allow easy access. the first day (of the month of work that he was there), she asked he wear a mask & did the ENTIRE TIME without her having to remind him.
