Fast Patch Drywall Company - Shed drywall project

    Fast Patch Drywall Company

Had a very small area of drywall that needed to be repaired/painted after a mishap from another…read morecrew during projector installation. Fast patch responded almost immediately to the Yelp query, provided a quote that was reasonable, and allowed me to schedule promptly. Vincent arrived on time, was extremely polite, and our cat loved him (ultimate test). The work was more complex than anticipated by I still paid the originally quoted rate, the wall looked perfect afterwards, and the surrounding furniture was kept in pristine condition. Highly recommend and will hire them for any future drywall needs.

Reached out to them for a repair after I cleaned up some moldy MDF baseboards, where the drywall…read moresucked up water coming in under the baseboard. Scope was to replace drywall, paint and texture match, install new PVC baseboards and caulk everything. Price was very reasonable for the amount of work around which was 14 sqft and drywall and 12 linear feet of trim replacement. I keep buckets of paint for all the paint used in the house so matching was easy. The drywall work and paint work was superb, absolutely zero complaints it looks like it never happened. Comparing Fast Patch crew's work to the guys who did the bathroom originally makes the original folk's look like toddlers. Fast Patch made very precise cuts for cutouts and didn't need to slap on mud to fill huge holes. I was very impressed with the attention to detail. I know it sounds small but you'd be surprised... I did ask them to caulk the baseboards to the floor and that didn't go so great. I get there can be some weirdness when caulking across a grout line so I expect imperfections in those areas, but the person left the tape used to square the caulk for over an 1 hour on the floor so when it was removed it ripped the caulk and lifted the seal from the floor and ripped out many tiny sections so the gap still exists. So it will need to be all scraped out and redone to get a good seal. In their defense they are a drywall company so not sure if my complaint is too valid, but it does mean more work for me immediately after the repair. If I need a drywall or paint job in a more isolated place i.e. middle of wall ceiling I would 100% use again.

Bruce came and re-did the drywall (including green board around the shower/tub), including re-doing the texturing (see uploaded photos for examples of work). We are so thrilled with the work, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bruce and his services! He's also really funny and has a good arsenal of witty jokes!

He tendered a bid and we moved forward the first two days his work was great but had to manage his work and attention to detail. Everyday after his work got progressively worse till he finally exploded and started swearing about the job being too big. We took a break for a month and asked him to come back and inspect his work and fix the poor work and finish the rest of the job, he cancelled 15 minutes before the walk through. Threaten to file a lien if we did not pay him in full including the unfinished work. You would be making a huge mistake to hire him. I am happy to send the crazy text message exchange more photos of the terrible work. He sued in small claims court and got another 1500 dollars. Needless to say the $8,000 job will now cost $13,000 after the $5500 we paid him including the judgement which the split between our different perspectives. Call JP Drywall if you want a great job and an honest contractor.
