Local, quick in and out, usually have what I need without having to go to the bigger stores.

It's raining today and I've been running around with this exchange item in my truck for three weeks now. The great news for me the rain has kept people away. My return/exchange with out the receipt was very simple. No headaches. Return was easy and now I'm gone... Well before I leave I will look around a bit. They have a large Yeti section-Wow... The Bbq grills on display are nice but the one that I have me eye in is propane and I am just ole fashion.. Team my apologies- Hector helped me with the grill-it's not propane but a pellet grill. This janky hardware store is the most expensive that I've stepped my foot into. I noticed the same fertilizer I bought at Gulf Coast feed store in Friendswood for $5, they were charging $16 here. Ripoff! All the plants outside are high as the sky and it don't make no sense why. The staff all young and thankfully they are nice, I overheard the manager correcting some young teenager guy about how he was slacking on the job. It's a good thing they keep them in order. The staff always asking if you need help finding anything. I barely visit this store, but when I do I always get this nostalgic feeling because I used to frequent this neighborhood store a lot with my dad when I was a young kid. Everything in the store is well organized. The parking lot is huge too. read more

My husband and I have shopped at this store for the past 25 years. The staff is always friendly and ready to help us find anything we need. I recently went in to purchase a barbeque pit my husband had wanted and the guy who helped me brought it to my car and loaded it in my trunk. I also purchased a propane tank and filled it and the gentleman told me the best way to store it safely. He was very helpful and it was nice doing business with him. read more

The staff throughout the store is usually very helpful and courteous. The cashiers at the front, are for the most part, courteous as well...you have a 50/50 chance you will get one that is both attentive and courteous as opposed to chatting it up with coworkers and not using basic pleasantries. read more

Anytime I go to Ace the staff is always friendly and very helpful. Ace is always my first stop for hardware and garden supplies. It is so much easier to navigate and find what I'm looking for compared to the BIG hardware stores. Keep up the great work! read more

Management is complete trash at the Beamer location. First few times we went here it was nice, we just went there for spray paint. Didn't have to ask the lady at the paint supply to get us any, thank god. Next time we come in, we had to get some black indoor paint. She didn't help us pick out a color, she stood at the door smacking her gum and clicking her nails at me while talking to me. I WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE TOO it's not the best right now because of covid but be glad you have a job. We had already picked out a color (BLACK) so we told her what color and she said to get the number, (still not helping us, still standing at the door) okay, cool, we told her the number, she finally walked over there, typed in our paint code (which we could've been off by a couple numbers/letters but if she went over there and helped us, we could've gotten it right the first time) and gave us GREY PAINT. Not black. Grey. I'm still so pissed off about this encounter. We could've been getting there one MINUTE before closing, you still do what you have to. You still help someone, because that's your JOB, that's what you get PAID TO DO. Please do something about this girl because apparently SHES THE MANAGER and I couldn't find anyone else to talk to about the issue. Thanks! read more

This Ace isn't my favorite. I have visited here a couple times for my previous job requirements. It is local and if it wasn't it would be a hit or miss. The service is dearly slow, employees standing around hardly anybody in one area. Not a job for me, here they are usually looking for cashiers. I used their postal services once. I tell you that was not a very good idea. I was in hopes of returning 2 college textbooks that I had rented from Cheggs. I came here to have them sent off, everything was packed correctly and I left ensuring that it would be sent off. Next thing I know, I receive a statement in the mail from Cheggs. How they never received my returns and how I need to pay up front for the 2 rented textbooks. I also had keys made here not sure if it's the key maker or brand of key but for some reason they couldn't correctly cut a vehicle key for me. The tip of the key was too thick to fit in the door and ignition. I returned it and got a refund for the keys. read more

I went in looking for light bulbs and the gentleman was very friendly and helpful. The cashier even told me that if i got a rewards card I would save $11.00 on each box of bulbs. That was great! read more

Don't go there for sharpening. The first time they were quick, did a good job, and called me promptly even done. This time took half a year or so. They never called me once. First they wouldn't do it because they didn't want to take two screws off to separate the blade from the machine. It's policy. Fine whatever. But they didn't call me. They warned me that due to the holidays (Christmas) it would be two to 3 months. I never got a call and eventually went in only to find they wouldn't do the work for the above reason. I borrowed a screw driver and resubmitted just the blade. I never got a call back. When my other blade dulled (I have two, so I can switch between them) I realized how long it had been. Went back in and they just hadn't gotten around to calling. I don't know if the clipper people or Ace staff does the ball, but someone did. This is BS and I won't be going back. They don't even have cheap prices. read more
