    Steak Night

Had the Thursday steak dinner. Was absolutely delicious. Order medium rare and got exactly that. Sides were amazing as well. Service was quick and efficient. Really like the vibes here. Especially love that they have fire pits outside!

Nice hidden gem. This is like your local neighborhood bar that has a very homie feel to it. What I like about this place is that it's cozy, relaxing, quiet & good vibes. I'm getting to that age where I dread spots that are so loud that you have to scream to speak to someone, this bar is the total opposite. The bartenders are nice, the customers are laid back & not sloppy drunk & the drinks are good. What more can you ask? I usually order my go to which is the old fashioned ($9). I like that they don't use cheap liquor & my drink taste strong & not watered down. They also have beer & snow cones infused with liquor. You might look at those snow cones and think that it's not going to do anything to you, nah it'll creep up on you. Strong & delicious. I also like that they have board games to keep you entertained. The menu has limited selection of food but the quality is fairly decent. I've tried the "just cheese plate", roast beef panini & brie & big soft pretzel. All were pretty good. I enjoy the pimento cheese. The pretzel comes out fresh & hot. The roast beef panini was solid but the Dijon mustard was overpowering. Overall, this is my favorite local bar to go to. Nice staff, affordable drinks without breaking your bank & cozy atmosphere. They also have outdoor seating as well. The only thing that needs to be updated are their walls in the restrooms other then that I have no complaints. The parking isn't the best but I can look past that. Shoutout to our bartenders Michele & Rennick for their hospitality. Especially Rennick, he was kind, personable & made me feel at home. He also let me try some samples of their beer and they were good. Will I come back? I don't go to bars that often but this will be my go to spot at least once a month. Thanks once again Rennick, you're awesome bro. Tip: they have weekly specials like steak night, you guys should come for that.

One of my favorite bars, always great service and great drinks. I've been wanting to come try their steak and I was not disappointed. Every Thursday starting at 6pm. You get a 14oz ribeye, salad and a Parmesan shallot polenta all for under $25. The menu does say "No To-Go Orders". There was a steady crowd coming in and eating and leaving. It was never over crowded but at a few times did get loud with conversations. They have a great playlist going all night. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and the chef nailed it. Bartenders were friendly and attentive. I'll be back next Thursday!

My date, Mr. W, asked if I'd prefer coffee or cocktails.... ummmm, cocktails please, I mean it's Sunday Funday! Mr. W chose @eastendhardwarehtx as our meeting spot which is a cute little bar tucked away in an east end neighborhood. We grabbed two seats at the bar and spent the next hour getting to know each other over the delish cocktails! I started with the strawberry pisco snow ball and he enjoyed a Stout Beer by Brash and for our second beverage we both enjoyed a tiki cocktail I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, it was a bit noisy but still allowed us to enjoy each other's company and have a pleasant convo. Will definitely return.

Turkey and Pesto Panini with salt & pepper chips and cucumber salad

My friend and I were looking for a place in EaDo to grab a bite before a show. Some of our go to places aren't open 7 days a week so we started looking for places and ended up at East End Hardware. This place is super chill which is what we were needing. There was a guy in there drinking a beer and reading a book. You can tell it's a neighborhood bar because it literally is next to townhomes, but it is also laid back. The bartender looked like she did not want to be there. I'm hoping she was just having an off day because she was not very personable. The other employees were really nice though. I love cucumber drinks and one of my favorite is the Pimm's Cup. Anytime a place has it on the menu, I have to try it. This one was okay. It wasn't the best (i.e. Anvil), but it was good enough. They had another cucumber drink on the menu that looked good, but I had to try their version of the Pimm's Cup. My friend had a pina colada snowball. She said it was good, but it was very messy. Every time she would try to scoop some onto the spoon, it just dripped down the side of the glass. She had a puddle of snowball on the table by the time she finished the drink. I took a small sip once it melted down, and it was very heavy on the rum. The ice isn't the smooth shaved ice, it's more crunchy. I think they have 7 or 8 different flavors for the boozy snowballs. It was Taco Tuesday night but we opted for sandwiches. I can't remember how much the tacos were, but the bartender said you get 4 large tacos that are enough for two people to share. I believe it also comes with chips and salsa or queso. I had the Turkey Pesto panini with salt & pepper chips and Taiwanese Cucumber Salad. My food was really good and I liked the cucumber salad. It had sesame seed oil on it which gave it an interesting flavor. My friend had the Italian panini with the Parmesan side salad and the cucumber salad. She enjoyed her meal and really loved the cucumber salad. The décor in this place is really cool and it's very clear that it was a former hardware store. They had an awesome playlist. We noticed the jukebox and how diverse the catalog was (though the jukebox wasn't turned on last night). I didn't go out on the patio, but my friend said it was large. They also allow dogs which is nice. They have a small lot on the side and two handicap spots up front. There's also street parking if the lot is full. My car got blocked in because some jerk decided to make their own spot up front near the handicap parking. One of the employees was nice enough to help me get out. I'm grateful to the employee for helping me!

My sister loves this place. She lives in Boston now, but when she came back to visit, she wanted to go to East End Hardware. The walls are full of art. There are several games to play with friends, I beat everyone in Uno. The bartenders are nice and helpful. They should have some merch, because my sister would buy a hat and a shirt with their logo. We got lucky and got there for steak night. The food was delicious and cooked how we like it. This is a great place for a boozy snow cone or a tasty steak.

Love this place! We came back for pizza and trivia night! It was my friend's birthday and we decided to celebrate here. It was so much fun! It was the trivia lady's bday too! We brought cake and ate from their regular menu too. It was a blast!

A friend who enjoys a great cocktail/drink came into town and we all wanted to try something new. The reviews definitely helped us give this place a try and so glad we did! A little shack on the road in EaDo, there are a couple parking spots in the front but street parking is probably what will end up happening. They have a variety of drinks to choose from: beer, wine, mixed drinks, and my favorite, boozy snow cones! Their cocktails are about $10-$13, their beers are $5-$8, and their snow cones are only $6.50 (or $5 if there's an astros game on). What I really love about this place is how cozy it is. They have games and a dart board that's great to play with friends. We had an awesome time sipping on drinks while catching up. Would come back!

Thursday is Steak Night! So good!

Nestled between Downtown and East Downtown is this lil sweet spot! It used to be a hardware store now a cute little drink, eat and chill spot! It's great for date night, meeting up with friends or to bring your pup and have a beer. I haven't made it on Taco Tuesday happens, there's hot dog night and on Thursday's steak night! The ambiance is sexy especially as sunset. Great and attentive staff, dog friendly and just an overall good Houston vibe! Come hang out. It's all good here!

Great mixed drinks for times when you want something other than beer. Service was great too. I didn't try the steak, but it looked delicious.

    Connie O.

This is a quaint little bar and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. We stopped by for an after dinner drink and I have to recommend that you try one of their Boozy Snowballs... .an adult snowcone. I got the Tiger's Blood Snowball and it was delicious. The young lady at the bar was very friendly and personable. Besides the wide and unique selection of drinks, the atmosphere was very unique as well. If you visit, take the time to peruse the pictures on the wall, there is a lot of interesting history there. I didn't stay long on this visit but I plan to return soon to spend more time.
