I called 10 Th St Hardware to see if I could with my receipt come in and get two more for the two that shouldn't have died within a week and they told me that it was not in the return policy to take back any plants to die I find this so unacceptable. They are seasonal potted flowers and there was no reason for them to die. There was also no reason not to exchange them. I will not be returning to 10th St. hardware because of their customer service.

It was 'absolute black' in a 'leathered' finish (really pretty finish that is not at all smooth or shiny, instead it has a 'pitted' appearance). So, I decided to go with them again for the kitchen countertops - a much bigger and more expensive job. I ordered the same granite, absolute black leathered. I wasnt at home when they arrived but my boyfriend was there and when I got home I realized that I did not get the same finish - I think its absolute black but not leathered. Instead its rather shiny which is exactly what I was trying to avoid.... To top it off, the piece was damaged and quite chipped along the back edge so it looks pretty messy and will require a thick back-splash to cover the edge which I had not been intending to use.

The staff was all extremely friendly and helpful as I made my way through the store section to section. There were a fair number of items on sale but be warned, this is not bargain stop. You'll pay a pretty penny even for the clearance items. However, there were so many unique pieces from Indonesia and beyond that I found myself seriously considering some of the pieces. Drinks were good, Christmas decorations were in full abundance and there was live music which made this place pop. Only problem was after we ordered out appetizers and meal, the appetizers came out about 15 mins later (place was packed so no biggie, gave my wife and I time to talk) but as soon as I went to bite into my appetizer, our food came out. I told the person delivering the meals we weren't ready and had to say it a second time until he acknowledged with a "do you want me to take it back?" In a smug manner. I told him to leave it but to get the manager. The manager arrived in less than a minute and apologized before we could say anything. He said that should have never happened and when we were ready for our food, our server will re-place our order so the food is fresh. I commend the manager on how he handled the situation and it left us with a feeling of being a valued customer. Our food was good and we enjoyed ourselves and the evening. That is how a good manager handles problems. I've had situations where managers try to blame the customers for their shortcomings but he realized they had messed up and took positive action to correct it and accepted responsibility.

He was so incredibly knowledgable & honest, it was seriously a relief to other experiences I've had in similar situations. When I'm ready to make that move on my kitchen, I'm am DEFINITELY going to purchase my appliances from him at Airs!! Ps... I asked a question (about delivery) the answer from Mr. Front desk was abrupt "Oh no only online". He thien continued to question my competence about using a computer which could be funny but his tone was downright rude. Okay I was disappointed but I thought the website said delivery was available but it is not and since I was walking (it's four miles) I could not carry the bowl I was after. I guess their thought based on my age that he should ask "do you have access to a computer"? Really! I was stunned. Well, turns out I do have access but also know how to write a sad goodby review. After I bought my final small things he felt he should remind me that "my frequent purchasing" is NOT usable in ordering online. This place was wonderful in the past and I have never never been treated badly there (the two other servers were very kind). What happened to Fante's ? Oh, and I won't need that frequent purchasing number sir. I will never return.
