We often forget about going here and head to Lowes or Home Depot instead only because they're so recognizable. Don't make the same mistake! This ACE has everything and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable!! They literally have just about everything the big home improvement stores have plus a whole lot of home and kitchen stuff that they don't have. This is like the largest Ace Hardware I have ever seen. It is like they expanded as other shops went out of business. They have everything here in every size that you can imagine. Definitely one of the better Ace's in town. These guys have saved my tooshie several times. There are things that I wasn't able to find at other places like a specific item or a specific size etc. that I was able to find here. The customer service is usually (not always) friendly, which is a plus. And they are huge inside, selling all kinds of wonderful things. Definitely will keep going here unless they give me a reason not to. Even if you aren't shopping for anything, it's fun to just walk up and down the aisles and see what they have. read more

Purchased rainwater harvesting tanks from the outdoor power center. Price was great and delivery was prompt. When one of the overflow valves could not be removed due to a manufacturers error they comped me the replacement part. Cannot recommend them enough! read more

One of our favorite Ace's. Loved it when the hot dog lady was there in the parking lot. Always exceptional customer service until the day I needed paint. I waited & waited and waited at the paint counter, an employee was in the area but would not come over. I went to a cashier, she called for help at paint. The employee that was looking at the ducks or whatever it was in the cages came over. A total jerk. He had to mix paint. He made sure to let me know how inconvenienced he was. I have bought a lot of paint from Ace, mostly Kensington. I tell people to go to Home Depot or Lowes for paint. The stress isn't worth it. I specifically went to this store because of the outstanding customer service. What is sad is, how one bad employee can make you feel about that store. Its the good old American hardware store, You can always find someone just to ask some questions and help you find what you're looking for. Or just walk around find the things you dont need but you want. hint. just like a candy store. Homedepot is good but Ace is great. read more

Who would rate a Hardware Store a whopping 5 star review. Well I did. In our Sunday Newspaper there was a story about this being the largest Ace Hardware Store in the USA. Wow. What better thing to do than take a ride to see what it is about. This store takes up an entire strip shopping center. I believe there might be a couple of small stores at the ends. First thing we saw as we entered this amazing place were several cages with baby chicks. Each cage had different sized babies. They were so cute. I wanted to take one home to have it lay some really good organic eggs. I don't think my neighbors would like to hear the chirping in the early morning hours. The owner of this particular Ace has a penchant for old vehicles. There were a couple of cool ones in the store. The fun part is that it has so much retro 50's kitchen stuff. You will never see stuff like this anywhere. The have knives and guns as well. Not my favorite thing but it was well secured. They have every small appliance you can think of. Gourmet spices in the Barbecue Dept. as well as hot sauces made from local vendors. Met a neighbor there who also read the article in the newspaper. Also I heard other folks saying the same thing. If there is a part you couldn't find anywhere this would be the place to go. They have a huge department with the most unusual sodas. Old brands of soda from bygone years. They have great people who are very knowledgable about all the different products. read more

I truly love this ACE it is the place truly. I love going to this store this store because of the helpful people and atmosphere. This is not a "home depot" so you won't find lumber, sheet rock, or plywood but you will find parts for mostly everything. If you have a question or are not quite sure on how to do something ASK someone will have an idea. The prices are a little higher than other "chain stores" but you will find USA MADE things in this store. Support your local economy and not CHINA by shopping here please. Places like this need to stay around.The house wares is ok at best but it does offer a decent selection should you have a need for something for the kitchen. One of the other things that is really cool is the little hobby shop all the way at the end of the store. It offers a little bit of everything for a hobbyist but don't expect everything to be in stock. read more

This is a very good store. The knowledgeable employees are often right on hand to deliver excellent service. There is a very good selection of hardware, remodeling supplies, and housewares. Cooler supplies are always available including ash pads and parts. Coolers are also sold. Moldings and fittings are often available and will be cut for you, often at no additional charge. Screens on windows can be replaced for a small charge. Many plumbing supplies can be found there. read more

My Ace (on Broadway and Swan) is currently closed and therefore i went to the HomeDepot at ElCon and couldn't get any help at all. I decided to take the drive to this Ace Hardware store and the service was amazing. I had an issue with my outdoor faucet and needed a washer for the inside piece, the problem was that the screw that held the washer was stripped. Richard R. helped me and immediately offered to take the screw out for me and replaced the washer as well! The service at Ace Hardware is simply awesome. I love the fact that you do not have to look for help, as employees are eager to assist! read more
