In 2023- I had a very traumatic experience with Ace. My water heater needed replacing, and they sent a very young, inexperienced, non-communicative man to install. He was there for 10 hours. When I asked why it was taking so long- I got blank stares, grunts, and shrugs. Dayton was slow, and I felt was clueless. In june 2024, the water heater pilot light kept going off. I called for service, but was adamant that they send someone with experience and professionalism. William came out, diagnosed the problem, retrieved the correct part to fix the issue. He was courteous and explained things to me. It was obvious that he was good at his job. So I guess it just depends on the service person they send out to your home. He was attentive and even unplugged the hot water circulator without my mentioning it before he turned off the water. The work is top notch. Thank you Prices will give you a heart attack. Even if they say they will install appliances (in this case a stove) they cannot. They scheduled the appointment, cancelled day of and then pushed it out one day. They showed up and the poor technician has nothing in the price book that will allow for him to charge for the install. Then they will try and charge you a $80 fee for coming out and another $80 for "diagnostics". read more

We had a very weird plumbing problem that caused our upstairs plumbing to whistle, but there was nothing causing the downstairs plumbing to sing. Sam was stumped at first and admitted it, but after checking with a few people, the problem was fixed. Most likely something (a leaf) got into the roof vent and caused a partial blockage that affected water pressure. Weird, but problem solved. read more

Do NOT use this big company who doesn't care about you. Unfortunately, our water heater broke over the weekend and I couldn't get a hold of any local plumbers. This company told me someone would be at our house between 11am-1pm. Got a call at 1pm saying the guy would be there at 1:30pm. I called them at 2pm and they told me sorry, he will actually be there at 3pm. I waited at my house until 4pm and called them again, very frustrated, and they said sorry, we'll see what we can do about this. The guy finally arrives at my house at 4:50pm, spends 15 minutes trying to fix the water heater. Then leaves and emails me a $5200 estimate for a new (NOT tankless) water heater. Rightfully so, I called around for second opinions. Got connected to a friend's local family owned plumbing business in Flagstaff and they said this is what these big companies do. They are installing a new water heater for us for $2200. Do NOT make the same mistake I did. Find a good, kind local plumber that cares about you and the job they do. Will absolutely never be calling this company for anything ever again. read more

Yesterday I reported 2 dripping faucets to AZ Best Plumbing. A plumber came by and I asked if he was going to fix them as he brought nothing to the door. All he had was an iPad/laptop. He said he needed to take a picture of the faucet and forward it to the office so he would know what cartridge he would need. My response was, "if you needed a picture to get parts for this, any customer can send a picture so a plumber comes prepared to do something simple like fix a leaking faucet". Needless to say - and very interestingly, he produced a quote immediately with the brand of faucet - so the bit about sending a picture elsewhere to know - just does not ring true. This visit to take a picture is charged at $59.00. Well that is only part of the story. My quote was $715 which included a $65.00 discount. Great. I could purchase 2 very nice complete sets of bathroom faucets for this. End of story is - nothing like an outrageous quote to propel someone into the plumbing world. A uTube video, a couple of tools most people have on hand, some WD40 and Lime Away - 2 cartridges from Ace Hardware at $9.99 each and I have 2 faucets that are not leaking. Do not give in to feeling helpless and trapped by such outrageous costs, look at it as an opportunity to learn something new. You will be empowered, and enjoy many more fabulous nights out for that money. I am 75 years old and a woman!! read more

The plumber, as soon as he arrived tried to tell us our copper water line to the dishwasher needed replacing, when he was hired to change a faucet. There was NOTHING wrong with the line, no leaks etc. My husband and I asked why and he had no answer!!! He just wanted another 250.00 charge. To install the new unit, major reconfiguration was required which created multiple installation issues. All my regular plumbers were booked so I decided to call some plumbing companies I haven't worked with and this was one of them. I was told by the gal who answered the call they had an opening on Wednesday, April 7, between 12 - 2 pm. I told her to hold it for me and I would call her right back. I called her back and she said she no longer had the appointment open. I live in Los Angeles and am used to paying higher prices but nothing what AZ Best, I was charged for a 20 minute quick shower drain de-clog, $291.00. In late March, a plumber from AZ Best performed some work on two showers in our house. A few days later, we discovered that the plumber sawed through the drywall into the room on the other side of wall. Then two weeks later, we discovered that the two shower valves the plumber installed were installed incorrectly. By that time, the showers had been retiled. We had to have the tile company remove tile in one shower so that a new plumber could reinstall the valve correctly as well as cut an even larger hold in the dryway to reinstall the valve in the other shower. Then the tile company had to reinstall the tile in the one shower. While this has been going on, I have been attempting to get AZ Best to acknowledge the poor issues and help compensate us for the retrofitting work that had to be done to fix the issues (reinstallation of valves, tile removal and replacement, and drywall repair). It has been absolute crickets - no response other than one customer service person promising to come out on a given date only to not show up. Two calls placed to that person's manager - neither of which have been returned. Even worse than the quality of work is the absolute lack of customer service. I am now looking into filing a complaint with the Arizona Registry of Contractors. read more

One of the best plumbing companies out there, Sedona or otherwise. In dealing with both the owner and the technician Joseph I've been impressed. We had Joseph over to do a lot of work on our house - Two new sewer clean outs, hydrojetting a clog, fixing a hose bib in the wall of the house and discovering a broken sewer connection while installing the clean out. Throughout the day going in and out of the house he was professional, kept our place clean, kept us up to speed on what was happening and you could barely notice where he had dug up the yard with rocks. The other five reviews on Yelp must have been made by friends of Bryan as we are forced to use AZ Best Plumbing by our insurance company. Bryan was unprofessional and rude from the very first time he called. I was trying to explain to him what was going on with our plumbing and he would never let me finish a sentence. I finally asked him, "will you please let me finish my sentence before you start talking over me." That didn't work, but when I finally became really frustrated and asked for his name he hesitated and began to behave more appropriately. We set up an date for the following Friday as my husband was going to have to drive five hours to meet with him at our home in Arizona. This morning, Friday, my husband called AZ Best Plumbing to find out when they planned to be out. Unfortunately, Bryan answered the phone and he was true to form and was rude and unprofessional to my husband too (and I just thought he was nasty to me because I was a woman!). Bryan said our appointment had been canceled because they had called the day before and couldn't reach anyone. I checked my cell phone and there was no call from them and when I checked the caller ID on our home phone it showed they had called at 4:15 pm, but they did not leave a message. It is hard for me to fathom why a message was not left especially since I specifically told Bryan my husband would have to make the long drive from Las Vegas to met with the plumber. All I can say is we hope the plumber who comes out to our house is more professional and courteous than Bryan. Plus. we hope they do a good job too. This company has been my go-to, solid, plumber for the last 4 years so I trusted them already, but this was my first time using them for a remodeling project. The project consisted of completely ripping out old, outdated fiberglass shower/tubs/glass doors and doing a complete custom tile rebuild in 2 of my bathrooms.
