Now the 3rd time using Elan... And this time, was a potential life saver.... Literally! Andrew and Chandler were to install an EV charger and they noticed that a wire from the meter was melting and diagnosed the problem as a loose connection. They recommended I contact APS... who arrived pretty quick - turns out those type of issues inspire 1st responder like "show up times"... Andrew, Chandler and Jim (APS tech) - worked together to replace the melted wire and insured the connection was secure. This was a serious issue, so much so that in cases like this, Jim is required to deactivate power to the property until the wire is repaired. In addition to the potential of causing a house fire, the issue could have caused a wildfire (the property is at the base of Granite Mountain). Thank guys - you're life savers! read more

My appointment was scheduled working within my timeframe, letting me know date, time and the name of the electrician - Justin, who would be responding. I have to share that Elan Electric is not worthy of anyone's business. Have used them a few times, but NOT AGAIN. Got an estimate to add two dedicated outlets of $1200. I decided to just have one outlet done, expecting to pay $600. Well they charged $1050!! Left a mess, drilled 3 mystery holes in the ceiling, smoked and left cig butts in the rocks & dropped a Lite cig Into neighbors yard. Called owner Joe Johnson, who called me a liar re: the mess & claims they used more wire than quoted.. never called back but rushed to the bank to cash my check. read more

I have used Elan two previous times and were quite happy on what the did. This time I needed a floor heating system hooked up and Thermostats installed. I had the thermostats, supplied by the tile installer. They were somewhat unfamiliar with this system and had to read all the instructions as they only install this type of system one other time. And when it came to setting it up had to guess on one thing. Not sure if it is right. Floor heater is working in both bathrooms and there is some work I need to do to button it up. I just wish they would of sent more knowledgeable people out to do this project. Especially for what I paid. read more

I recently had a power surge affect my house. It damaged some light bulbs and power strips and nearly set my house on fire. I replaced the bulbs and power strips myself, but I could still smell that burnt wire smell coming from the outlet in the bathroom. I also had an outlet in the kitchen that would get hot if I used it and it had been like that for years so I was not using it. So I called Elan and they sent TJ over and he replaced both outlets and also discovered the bathroom light switch needed to be replaced as well. He also checked my circuit breaker box for any possible damage from the power surge because I was concerned about that. He did everything quickly in about 30 minutes which keeps the labor cost down. He was very nice, respectful, professional, knowledgeable, prompt and efficient. I would definitely recommend Elan Electric. read more

Andrew was on time and seemed to check out the smoke detector very thoroughly. And the verdict was what I expected, we needed new ones. He changed all six of our smoke detectors out expeditiously. He explained everything to me and answered all my dumb questions. Andrew was very friendly and professional. I asked him about putting in a ceiling fan in one of our bedrooms. I had a circuit breaker problem where it would not reset. I found Elan Electric on Yelp with decent reviews so I called then. The tech arrive early in the cold morning, and fixed the problem right away. Personally I think the charge was a bit high for the work performed, but that part was reduced by a discount coupon found. Based on Yelp reviews I chose Elan to do all the electrical upgrades & fixes to our newly purchased home in Prescott. My list generated 3 days of work for two men. Jason & Andrew were professional, prompt, hardworking, smart, clean & genuinely nice men. They did everything on the inspectors list plus everything I requested. I have new fans in 3 bedrooms, a proper hardwired smoke & carbon monoxide detectors, properly wired panel & sub panels. A new doorbell, wall heaters disconnected & removed and a new exhaust fan in the guest bath. My kitchen now has all GFI outlets. The microwave has its own circuit and numerous wall switches were replaced. There was an inspection identified fault they corrected which was not an easy fix. They did it all perfectly & maintained their pleasant nature's throughout the 3 days. It never seemed a problem that they were working for a woman. They couldn't have been nicer or more professional. We just installed 3 QuietCool Stealth Pro fans today. One 7.0 and two 2.5's. It was 97 degrees today and I can't imagine how hot it was in the attic they had to work in. Two young men (Jimmy & Nate) worked 12.5 hours installing these fans and their same great attitude from 7am this morning was here until they left. The job was top notch and I say that being very meticulous. They even leveled the faceplates and had the screws facing the same direction (that's attention to detail I don't even do) and I did not ask for that. They were conscientious to keeping the space clean and minimizing dust. They tarped and taped where needed. I actually had to tell them to stop cleaning before they left so they could just go home after a long hard day. They sought my approval to all fan and controller locations and waited patiently as I debated with myself the best placement. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this product, company and especially these two young men performing the work. This system was not cheap but I truly felt I got my moneys worth in product performance and the OUTSTANDING and professional customer service. I have already scheduled additional work with them based on todays service. Back to the product. I had installed these back when the company first formed. I have been a big fan and proponent to these quiet and efficient systems. Given the cool nights here, I can expect to get my money back quickly in not having to use my A/C to cool the house and it's furnishings. I turned the A/C off immediately once installed and already the house is cooler than with the A/C on.
